00:00A woman has been rescued after becoming trapped knee-deep in mud at Crosby Beach.
00:05H.M. Crosby Coast Guard and Wirral Coast Guard Rescue Team were called after she became unable to free herself.
00:12The crews used specialist equipment to recover her from the mud.
00:15A medical assessment was carried out and she was found not to be injured.
00:20Coast Guards warn that patches of mud can be extremely dangerous, particularly with an incoming tide.
00:27They say ground that appears firm can quickly become soft and difficult to escape from.
00:32Anyone who becomes stuck is advised to stay calm, avoid struggling and call for help.
00:38People should not attempt rescues themselves and should instead get help from the Coast Guard.
