00:00No unique selling point anymore. And that brings us to the real core problem.
00:06Starliner originally had two tasks. A backup to Dragon and the ability to raise the orbit
00:13of the ISS. But that unique advantage is gone. Dragon can now transport astronauts,
00:21dock autonomously and manually, carry cargo to and from the ISS and boost the space station.
00:27Starliner can theoretically do that too. But in practice, it is not operational.
00:35And yet, NASA will do everything it can to keep this system going. Not out of conviction,
00:42but out of necessity. Because Boeing has contractual obligations and redundancy remains a central safety
00:49principle. If Dragon were ever grounded, NASA would once again be left without independent access to
00:56the ISS. A scenario that they want to avoid at all costs.
