While the world debates how to regulate the pace of AI development, the South Korean government has declared its commitment to “responsible acceleration,” announcing a five-year R&D investment of 200 trillion won and 4 trillion won for seven key future technologies. In particular, we examine the “K-Moonshot” strategy—which involves deploying a national supercomputer equipped with 8,000 GPUs—and the resulting benefits for the semiconductor infrastructure.
