00:04:52Frostfang!
00:05:06My lord, Frostfang never lets a stranger within three feet of him.
00:05:09And your falcon won't let anyone but you near it.
00:05:13What have you done to him?
00:05:19Frostfang!
00:05:20Are you protecting her?
00:05:25Good boy.
00:05:29Who are you, exactly?
00:05:31I'm Veya.
00:05:32I came up from the south to help out.
00:05:34I spend most of my time tending to animals.
00:05:42So she's just a beast keeper from the countryside.
00:05:45Interesting.
00:05:48Veya.
00:05:50You may just be an ordinary beast keeper, but you've clearly got away with animals.
00:05:54And you've got courage.
00:05:57I need a Duchess to get out of an arranged marriage.
00:05:59Will you marry me?
00:06:01Marry you?
00:06:05I'll pay you 300 gold crowns a month for three years.
00:06:10When the contract ends, you'll receive 10,000 gold crowns and a castle.
00:06:16Your beasts tell me you're a good man.
00:06:24But I already have a fiancé.
00:06:28Oh, right.
00:06:33Sorry about that.
00:06:35Congratulations.
00:06:38Frostfang!
00:06:39You!
00:06:39Your Grace!
00:06:41Urgent news from the front line.
00:06:42Three months in the freeze.
00:06:44Food and dragon crystal are almost gone.
00:06:47We're down half strength.
00:06:50We're out of time.
00:06:51The enemy won't be fully assembled for another month.
00:06:54Send the order.
00:06:55We strike now.
00:06:56I'll lead the attack myself.
00:06:59You're the North's last line.
00:07:00If you fall...
00:07:02I won't let my soldiers fight on empty stomachs.
00:07:04I have to take the risk.
00:07:06We move now.
00:07:15Hold your position.
00:07:16The Frost Revenant army is already assembled.
00:07:19They'll reach the Rampard in one hour.
00:07:21Who do you think you are, girl?
00:07:22You have no right to...
00:07:26Go on.
00:07:30Light this at the highest beacon tower.
00:07:32Do that.
00:07:33And you'll live to see the Queen.
00:07:40What...
00:07:41Is this?
00:07:42Fire dragon dung.
00:07:45How dare you lie to his grace.
00:07:47Fire dragons went extinct long ago.
00:07:50How could a country beast keeper like you...
00:07:52Possibly...
00:07:53Have their dung?
00:07:56Veterans who fought the undead all their lives couldn't even tell.
00:08:01What makes you think a beast keeper could?
00:08:04A beast keeper has her ways.
00:08:11Burn it.
00:08:12Wait one hour.
00:08:13If I'm wrong, all you lose is a bag of dung.
00:08:15If I'm right, you save a city.
00:08:21Ridiculous.
00:08:21My lord.
00:08:22She's probably putting on an act to get your attention.
00:08:24Throw it away.
00:08:26Yes, my lord.
00:08:31Hold on.
00:08:32Keep the troops in place.
00:08:34Yes, my lord.
00:08:36If nothing happens in an hour, she'll learn the price of playing games with Kale Frostwing.
00:08:56Leon.
00:08:57You'll be so happy when you find out who I really am.
00:09:08Veiya.
00:09:10I have nothing to give you right now.
00:09:14But once I make a name for myself, I promise you...
00:09:18You'll be the only woman I ever marry.
00:09:20I'll never betray you.
00:09:38Leon!
00:09:39It's me, Veiya!
00:09:42I'm back!
00:09:50Today's a big day.
00:09:52Don't let any riffraff in.
00:09:54Yes, my lady.
00:10:00Maybe they didn't hear me.
00:10:02Please tell Lord Leon that Veiya has returned.
00:10:07Veiya?
00:10:08Which Veiya?
00:10:09Get lost.
00:10:10Don't dirty Lady Ethnin's red carpet.
00:10:13Lord Leon and I know each other from years ago.
00:10:15So it's you.
00:10:17The little healer from Greyville who used to empty my son's bed pads.
00:10:22But now, House Silverville has no place for someone like you.
00:10:28Lady Ethlyn, what did you just say?
00:10:35Take the hundred gold crowns and stay away from my son.
00:10:40This is more than your life is worth.
00:10:42What?
00:10:44Seven years ago, Leon was a bastard abandoned by his own family and left to die in the Greyville plague
00:10:51zone.
00:10:51His arm was covered in ash-scale lynching.
00:10:53Shut your mouth!
00:10:53I fought with everything I had to pull him back from death.
00:10:58And when Silverville family threw you out, I spent every coin I had to protect you both.
00:11:03The ash-cale plague.
00:11:05Lord Leon actually had it?
00:11:06A Silverveil's bastard.
00:11:10Nonsense!
00:11:11My son carries the true blood of House Silverville.
00:11:14How dare you slander him!
00:11:21You think I came for money?
00:11:23This is enough money for someone like you to go back to your donkey gabs, live out your pathetic little
00:11:27life!
00:11:28Just stay away from my son!
00:11:35One gold crown for a knight at his sickbed. That's already more than generous.
00:11:40Tonight is my son's formal ceremony as royal chancellor.
00:11:44You're not climbing through him.
00:11:47Do you even realize this investiture is happening?
00:11:49Because I made it happen.
00:11:53Are you seriously claiming my son owes his position to you?
00:12:01That's right. I gave Leon his life.
00:12:04And I paved his road here.
00:12:18To be continued...
00:12:34Your Grace!
00:12:36The Horde is bigger than we expected.
00:12:40Right on time.
00:12:41She was right. Exactly one hour.
00:12:56Bring me the fire dragon dung!
00:13:00My lord, what if she's playing us?
00:13:03Then I'll risk my life alongside my people.
00:13:20Then I'll risk my life alongside my people.
00:13:23My lord! Nothing happened! That woman lied to us!
00:13:27All forces attack.
00:13:29We die here before they cross the rampart.
00:13:32It was right because I was turned out.
00:13:38We die before it came.
00:13:43That was so ya let me remember what war!
00:13:44What is that?
00:13:46What is that?
00:13:52They're gone.
00:13:53They're all gone!
00:13:55We won!
00:14:00Your grace, we won!
00:14:05Light this at the highest beacon tower.
00:14:08Do that, and you'll live to see the Queen.
00:14:12Fea, who are you really?
00:14:21We leave for Crimson Keep now.
00:14:24You're gonna find her?
00:14:24The Northern Reach owes her its survival.
00:14:27She's the woman I'm going to marry.
00:14:39Enough!
00:14:40Leon.
00:14:46You heard everything, didn't you?
00:14:48All I heard was some mad woman making a scene in my big day.
00:14:52A mad woman?
00:14:54Grey Vale was a mistake, Vea.
00:14:57Don't drag it up and expect me to claim you before the Seven Realms.
00:15:02Take the money, and leave.
00:15:14Leon, I'm asking you one last time.
00:15:17After everything we shared, did you ever have any real feelings for me?
00:15:22You put this ring on my finger yourself!
00:15:28Feelings.
00:15:29Don't be naive.
00:15:36Vea, stop throwing yourself at me.
00:15:39Everything you gave me was only a drop in the bucket.
00:15:42I got where I am because someone truly powerful has been backing me.
00:15:46I see.
00:15:48And who exactly is this powerful person?
00:15:51Since you're so eager to know, the person who's funded me and helped me rise for the past seven years
00:15:57is none other than the Royal Regent.
00:16:01Martha.
00:16:02That's right.
00:16:03Regent Martha Ironbacker recognized my son's talent.
00:16:07For seven years, she supplied him and helped him rise to where he is today.
00:16:13Who do you think you are calling Regent Martha by name?
00:16:16So Leon thinks Martha has been supporting him all these years, when she was only following my orders.
00:16:22Son, Regent Martha may even be interested in you.
00:16:26She holds the Queen's authority in her hands.
00:16:29If you could marry her.
00:16:32You have a point, Mother.
00:16:34Regent Martha has always stood at the Dragon Queen's side.
00:16:37If I could win her over.
00:16:39Then House Silverville will soar to new heights.
00:16:42The Queen might even grant you a Duke's dish.
00:16:44And then I, Leon Silverville, will stand at the pinnacle of power in the Seven Realms.
00:16:58Leon.
00:17:05When the truth comes out, I hope you won't be the one on your knees begging me.
00:17:10The Queen's the Queen.
00:17:11The Queen of the Virgin is the king.
00:17:27The Queen's the Queen.
00:17:32I heard your whole conversation with Leon and his mother.
00:17:38Did the Duke of the Northern Reach come all this way just to laugh at me?
00:17:42That man in there doesn't deserve you.
00:17:46Veya, marry me.
00:17:50What did you just say?
00:17:54Don't tell me seeing my fiancé cast me aside made your graces fall for me out of pity.
00:18:01Miss Veya, you need a title, and I need a duchess.
00:18:09If this is an arrangement, then I'll make you a promise.
00:18:12For every day you're my husband.
00:18:15I'll protect you.
00:18:17Protect me?
00:18:18Veya, you're a beast keeper.
00:18:21All you need to do is live a simple, happy life as my duchess.
00:18:25Hail Frostling, I know what you need.
00:18:28Send the queen another letter.
00:18:29Ask her to grant the Northern Reach direct control of two dragon crystal trade routes,
00:18:34along with one billion dragon crystals.
00:18:37One billion?
00:18:38I can never ask the queen for something like that.
00:18:40What if it offends her majesty?
00:18:42Don't worry.
00:18:42The queen will approve it herself.
00:18:44You talk as if you know the queen personally.
00:18:46This is impossible.
00:18:51Do as she said.
00:18:52My lord.
00:18:53Do as she said.
00:19:02Now, it's your turn to answer me.
00:19:11Veya, will you form a marriage bond with me?
00:19:20By Frostwing's name and frozen ground, body and soul, I bind myself to you.
00:19:27By dragon fire, fierce and true, my heart will never turn from you.
00:19:48This mark, it's no ordinary bond mark.
00:19:52Veya, who are you really?
00:20:02My lord.
00:20:03Yes, thanks.
00:20:04I know it's something that's bound.
00:20:06Look around for a bit.
00:20:08I'll be back soon.
00:20:09If anyone gives you trouble, show them this.
00:20:15Go ahead, your grace.
00:20:28Half an inch higher.
00:20:30When Duke Kale takes his seat, the Frostwing crest must be the first thing he sees.
00:20:35Anyone who fails to show him proper respect will answer to my whip.
00:20:38Yes, my lady.
00:20:39Lady Lionheart has really outdone herself tonight.
00:20:42I hear Duke Kale Frostwing himself will be here.
00:20:45If Lord Leon earns even a word of praise from him, House Silvervale's prestige in the military will be unmatched.
00:20:53Mother, did you hear that?
00:20:54The greatest warrior in the Seven Realms.
00:20:56The ruler of Frostwing City.
00:20:57Duke Kale?
00:20:59Even House Golden Ruse has to tread carefully around him.
00:21:03Everyone!
00:21:05Duke Kale himself came tonight to honor my son, Leon!
00:21:13Lord Leon, I hope you'll remember House Lionheart when the time comes.
00:21:16You actually got Duke Kale to attend your ceremony.
00:21:19There's no greater honor in the Seven Realms.
00:21:32Veya, how did you sneak in here?
00:21:34You're about to become royal chancellor and you're still as narrow-minded as ever.
00:21:38I walked in through the front door.
00:21:39The front door.
00:21:40You either slipped in with the servants or crawled in through some hole behind the kitchens like a stray.
00:21:45I knew it!
00:21:46We gave you a hundred gold coins to disappear and you still came crawling back.
00:21:50You really thought you could sneak in here and sink your claws into my son again?
00:21:54Don't make me laugh!
00:21:55Veya, I made myself perfectly clear.
00:21:57It's over between us.
00:21:59Following me here only makes me look down on you even more.
00:22:01Leon, you really think too highly of yourself.
00:22:04You think you're worth chasing?
00:22:05Veya, I'm warning you for the last time.
00:22:08Duke Kale Frostwing himself will be here tonight.
00:22:10Do you have any idea what kind of man he is?
00:22:12Leave now before he arrives.
00:22:13If he sees someone like you here and takes offense, even I won't be able to save you.
00:22:18Really?
00:22:18Are you that afraid of Kale?
00:22:20Duke Kale is coming tonight for my ceremony.
00:22:22He's coming for me.
00:22:24Leon Silva Vale.
00:22:26So naturally I'll clear out the vermin before he arrives.
00:22:36My lord, I failed you.
00:22:38As for Miss Veya, speak.
00:22:40The moment our sources learned we were looking into her, every one of them cut us off.
00:22:45Three destroyed their sending crystals outright.
00:22:47Another source sent word that we must stop immediately, or all dragon crystal supplies to the northern reach will be
00:22:53cut off for good.
00:22:54Even the Dragonmere Trading House won't dare get involved.
00:22:58Keep this quiet.
00:22:59Double the shadow guard around the banquet hall and ensure her safety at all costs.
00:23:04My lord, we know nothing about this woman.
00:23:06She sought you out and bound herself to you in marriage.
00:23:08She saved a million soldiers and civilians in the northern reach.
00:23:11She's my duchess now, and no matter who she is, I'll keep her safe.
00:23:16Her past can wait.
00:23:17Let's get back to the banquet.
00:23:21Son, why waste your breath on a lowborn nobody like her?
00:23:25Call the guards and have her thrown out.
00:23:29What were you doing at the door?
00:23:30How did you let someone like her in?
00:23:32My, my, Lord Leon.
00:23:35What's going on here?
00:23:37Did a kitchen maid lose her way?
00:23:39Don't trouble yourself, my lord.
00:23:40I know her kind well.
00:23:41Well, they slip into noble banquets hoping to land a wealthy lord.
00:23:45Miss Cassandra, you owe us an explanation.
00:23:48Tonight was supposed to be my son's chance to win Duke Kale's favor,
00:23:51and now this lowborn woman is ruining everything.
00:23:54If she angers the Duke, who's going to take responsibility?
00:23:57Don't worry, madam.
00:23:59I'll deal with her.
00:24:06House Lionheart spent three days preparing for Duke Kale's arrival.
00:24:11Even the servants had to prepare themselves from head to toe.
00:24:15And then you come barging in wearing homespun rags and worn-out boots,
00:24:19trampling all over the ceremonial carpet laid for his grace.
00:24:23Are you trying to disgrace all of Crimson's keep?
00:24:25It's just a carpet.
00:24:27Just a carpet?
00:24:28It was laid for Duke Kale.
00:24:30A filthy lowborn like you should be on your knees begging forgiveness for daring to step on it.
00:24:37There are three rules for entering this hall.
00:24:39First, no invitation from the dragon court, no entry.
00:24:42Second, no family emblem, no place near the high table.
00:24:46Third, without a bonded beast or a noble to vouch for you, you're nothing but an intruder.
00:24:52So tell me, which rule do you meet?
00:24:55What if I meet all three?
00:24:57Make up one more story, and I'll have them beat your mouth bloody!
00:25:01Kale Frostwing brought me here.
00:25:03Is the Duke of the Northern Reach noble enough to vouch for me?
00:25:10What a joke!
00:25:11Do you even know who Duke Kale is?
00:25:13I sent three letters begging for a word with him and got nothing.
00:25:16And you, some village healer, you expect me to believe he came for you?
00:25:19Exactly!
00:25:20Why would he bring some nameless woman to a banquet like this?
00:25:23That woman has lost her mind over men.
00:25:25She dares set her sights on Duke Kale?
00:25:27Even I wouldn't dare pretend I'm close to Duke Kale.
00:25:30And you, a lowborn nobody, who do you think you are?
00:25:34Lady Cassandra, this young lady was just...
00:25:36Shut up!
00:25:37You useless fool!
00:25:39You let some nobody into the banquet and you still have the nerve to speak?
00:25:45I'll teach you what happens when you forget your place, you lowborn wretch.
00:26:02Your Grace, there's trouble in the banquet hall.
00:26:04Lord Leon and Lady Cassandra have the Duchess cornered.
00:26:07Lady Cassandra went after her with a whip.
00:26:11Anyone who hurts her will not leave this hall!
00:26:16You lowborn wretch!
00:26:18How dare you grab my whip!
00:26:19You!
00:26:20I knew it.
00:26:21You're nothing but an ill-bred country brute.
00:26:24No wonder you'll never belong among true nobles.
00:26:26So this is noble honor?
00:26:27She attacks me and no one says a word.
00:26:30I fight back and I'm called crude.
00:26:33How very noble.
00:26:34Enough!
00:26:34You've ruined the banquet and you still dare insult everyone here?
00:26:39What are you doing?
00:26:43Put that down!
00:26:44You have no right to touch it!
00:26:46This gave you power.
00:26:48And all you've done with it is strike down those beneath you.
00:26:51Vea, don't you dare!
00:26:53Leon has no right to this seat.
00:26:54I spent seven years helping him rise only to raise an ungrateful serpent.
00:26:59Today, I'm taking it all back.
00:27:11She shattered the Chancellor's emblem!
00:27:13She's lost her mind!
00:27:16Vea, what have you done?
00:27:17You're insane, you madwoman!
00:27:19How dare you destroy a royal emblem!
00:27:22Guards!
00:27:23Vea!
00:27:23Since you insist on pushing this far, don't expect me to show you any mercy.
00:27:27That's right!
00:27:28Miss Cassandra, seize her!
00:27:29Break her legs and throw her out!
00:27:31You heard Lady Silvervale!
00:27:33Take her!
00:27:42Wait!
00:27:43Wait!
00:27:43Stop!
00:27:49Duke!
00:27:50Duke Kale is on his way!
00:27:51No one dare go near him!
00:27:53He looks truly furious!
00:27:55I knew it!
00:27:56His grace must have heard someone destroy the Chancellor's emblem!
00:27:59He's here to back Lord Leon up!
00:28:01Did you hear that?
00:28:02Duke Kale is coming!
00:28:04You lowborn wretch!
00:28:05You're as good as dead!
00:28:06That clasp!
00:28:08That's Duke Kale's personal frost emblem!
00:28:12Have you gone blind?
00:28:14Anyone could fake the frost wing emblem!
00:28:16Exactly!
00:28:17She probably picked it up from some pile of junk!
00:28:20You!
00:28:20Get over here!
00:28:21Who let this woman in?
00:28:23Speak!
00:28:25Lady Lionheart!
00:28:26Duke Kale brought her in himself!
00:28:28That frost crystal clasp came from him too!
00:28:36Duke Kale brought her in!
00:28:40So what if Duke Kale brought her in?
00:28:43It only proves he took pity on her!
00:28:45Lord Leon cast her aside!
00:28:46And when she saw Duke Kale outside, she fell at his feet and begged him to bring her in!
00:28:51The Duke must have felt sorry for her!
00:28:53Nothing more!
00:28:54So that's what happened!
00:28:56Veya, you really haven't changed!
00:29:06Go Grace!
00:29:12You Grace!
00:29:13You came at just the right time!
00:29:15This woman claimed you brought her here, then ruined my ceremony and humiliated House Silver Veil in front of everyone!
00:29:20You Grace!
00:29:21You should teach this shameless woman a lesson yourself!
00:29:23That's right!
00:29:24She used to cling to my son!
00:29:25She has no shame!
00:29:27She used to cling to you?
00:29:29Exactly!
00:29:30She looked after me for a few days and thought that was enough to marry into House Silver Veil!
00:29:34A shameless woman!
00:29:39Shameless woman!
00:29:41Where?
00:29:45There she is!
00:29:57Did they hurt you?
00:29:59Sorry.
00:30:00I got tired of waiting.
00:30:02So I started without you.
00:30:04Veya!
00:30:04How dare you act like that in front of his grace!
00:30:07You wretch!
00:30:08How dare you stand there grinning in front of his grace!
00:30:18Who said you could touch her?
00:30:24Your Grace!
00:30:25You have it all wrong!
00:30:27A woman like her doesn't deserve your pity!
00:30:29She's only using your kindness-
00:30:31Kindness?
00:30:32This wasn't pity!
00:30:34I begged her to marry me!
00:30:41A soul bond?
00:30:43Isn't that House Frostwing's highest marriage bond?
00:30:46Both marks only appear when the mate bond is real.
00:30:49The woman you call a lowborn healer is no intruder.
00:30:54She is my wife.
00:30:56Bound to me before the altar of the dragon god.
00:31:00Duke Kale!
00:31:01My cousin Cecilia Goldenrose is your fiancé!
00:31:04I never agreed to it!
00:31:06You would humiliate the Lionhearts and the Golden Roses for a servant?
00:31:11What gives her the right to be Duchess of the Northern Reach?
00:31:14Because she's the one I chose.
00:31:15You'll regret this.
00:31:16Without the Golden Roses dragon crystal, how will the Northern Reach hold back the undead?
00:31:20She can get us the dragon crystal we need.
00:31:23And she's already saved the Northern Reach once!
00:31:26You Grace, choose your allies wisely.
00:31:28I'm about to become Royal Chancellor.
00:31:30I can get the Northern Reach the crystals and military funds it needs.
00:31:33And her, all that country healer knows is how to cling to powerful men.
00:31:37Leon, without this country healer, you would have died in Greyvale seven years ago!
00:31:42You've never had any real power.
00:31:44You have no idea how high I'm about to rise.
00:31:46The power you're so desperate for means little to me!
00:31:49If the chancellorship matters that much to him, give it to someone else.
00:31:53Give it to someone else?
00:31:54You think you can hand out royal offices as you please?
00:31:57Veya!
00:31:58Do you really think marrying into Duke Kale's house gives you the right to decide who becomes
00:32:02royal chancellor?
00:32:03You're defying the Queen herself!
00:32:05Enough!
00:32:10The Northern Reach gave one of seven votes on the War Council.
00:32:14Now, we're taking it back.
00:32:18Duke Kale, you can't!
00:32:20As Duke of the Northern Reach, I exercise our veto.
00:32:23Leon Silvervale's appointment as royal chancellor is now suspended!
00:32:30My son's position!
00:32:32You can't take it away from him!
00:32:34Leon Silvervale publicly insulted my wife and disrupted a royal ceremony.
00:32:39Place him in Frostwing custody until the Royal Council reviews his case.
00:32:43Cassandra Lionheart attacked my wife.
00:32:45Take her too!
00:32:47You dare touch me?
00:32:48My cousin is the Golden Rose heir!
00:32:51Drag her out!
00:32:54Who here dares touch Chancellor Leon?
00:32:59Grandmother.
00:33:04Lady Aurora!
00:33:05Save me!
00:33:07Kale, are you trying to doom the entire Northern Reach?
00:33:16Lady Aurora!
00:33:18You have to stand up for my son!
00:33:20Kale, what gives you the right to speak for the North and overturn the Queen's Chancellor?
00:33:26Leon insulted my wife.
00:33:28The Northern Reach has every right to withdraw its support.
00:33:31Your wife?
00:33:32You dug up some village woman to play duchess.
00:33:35And now you'd risk the North's future over this farce?
00:33:38So that's what this is.
00:33:39I knew Duke Kale would never marry a servant like her.
00:33:42He only brought her here to play the part.
00:33:44This is not an act.
00:33:45Varya and I formed an ancient soul bond before the altar of the Dragon God.
00:33:48She is the rightful duchess of the Northern Reach.
00:33:53Enough!
00:33:54Do you even know why the Northern Reach backed Leon?
00:33:57We supported him because Royal Reeshint Martha Ironhacka personally ordered us to.
00:34:03Royal Regent Martha?
00:34:04She's the Queen's most trusted advisor.
00:34:06If she supports Leon, then the Queen must support him too.
00:34:09You heard that!
00:34:11Royal Regent Martha herself is backing my son!
00:34:30Royal Regent Martha asked me to deliver these three gifts.
00:34:34A starsteel crown, a dragon crystal seppler, and a fire dragon egg.
00:34:41A crown, a scepter, and a dragon egg.
00:34:44Those are gifts fit for a royal consul.
00:34:46Royal Regent Martha really hasn't forgotten me.
00:34:51She has already approved this betrothal petition between House Golden Rose and House Frostwing.
00:34:57Kale, you rejected House Golden Rose.
00:35:00You're standing against Regent Martha herself.
00:35:03My cousin's betrothal to you has already passed the Dragon Court's preliminary review.
00:35:08Veya is the one who has no place here.
00:35:10Duke Kale, surely you see it now.
00:35:12I'm the one you should have on your side.
00:35:14As for Veya, she's nothing but a joke the Dragon Court will soon cast aside.
00:35:23What are you smiling at?
00:35:25I'm laughing at how eagerly you're claiming gifts that aren't even yours.
00:35:29Leon, you'd better hold on to them tightly.
00:35:31What?
00:35:31Jealous?
00:35:32No.
00:35:33I'm just afraid you won't get to keep them for long.
00:35:36If Martha really is backing Leon, she could block the Northern Reach's dragon crystal supplies,
00:35:41border funding, and trade route permits.
00:35:44She won't.
00:35:45Lady Aurora, you don't need to worry about Martha holding this against you.
00:35:49I can take care of it.
00:35:53Duke Kale says a few words in your defense, and now you think you're someone important
00:35:58at the Dragon Court?
00:35:59The front line needs dragon crystals.
00:36:02The army needs funding.
00:36:04Our trade routes need the court's approval.
00:36:07And you expect all of House Frostwing to risk everything on your word alone?
00:36:14Chancellor Leon, Lady Silverbeil, Kale has offended you both tonight.
00:36:19To make amends, the Northern Reach will offer 30% of its dragon crystal mine revenues and
00:36:2530% of its trade route taxes.
00:36:27We will also give you 10 years of revenue from the Silverpine Ridge Fist, along with three
00:36:33treasures from the Frostwing Vault.
00:36:35All I ask is that you speak in our favor before Regent Martha.
00:36:39Lady Aurora, I appreciate your sincerity, but Duke Kale blocked my appointment and humiliated
00:36:45me today, all for some lowborn woman.
00:36:47I will tell Regent Martha exactly what happened.
00:36:52Veya, drop the act.
00:36:54You're only using Kale to spite me.
00:36:55But clinging to him won't change where you came from.
00:36:57A lowborn woman gains no honor by attaching herself to a noble.
00:37:02First, I never stood beside Kale just to spite you.
00:37:05Second, I don't depend on Kale.
00:37:07I don't depend on anyone.
00:37:09Leon, you think becoming Chancellor is as high as anyone can rise.
00:37:13But what you threw away with your own hands was far beyond that.
00:37:16Lady Cecilia Goldenrose of House Goldenrose.
00:37:24Cousin Cecilia, you're here!
00:37:26It seems I arrived at just the right time.
00:37:29Kale, did you really find a woman like this to hide behind just so you could avoid marrying me?
00:37:33Your taste is colder than a northern winter.
00:37:36Cecilia, I never agreed to this betrothal.
00:37:38The Dragon Court has already given it preliminary approval.
00:37:41Whether you accept it or not doesn't matter.
00:37:43What matters is that the Queen recognizes House Goldenrose.
00:37:47So does Regent Martha.
00:37:49The Queen recognizes House Goldenrose.
00:37:51Kale protecting you doesn't mean the Dragon Court accepts you.
00:37:53A bondmark might fool people for a while, but noble standing can't be faked.
00:37:57A family crest, noble blood, a bonded beast.
00:38:02Which one do you have?
00:38:04What bonded beast could she possibly have?
00:38:06That pathetic little donkey?
00:38:10Veya, if you're really more than some country girl, then prove it.
00:38:13Show us what gives you the right to stand here.
00:38:15If she can prove it, I'll kneel before her right here!
00:38:19Veya, don't waste your time on them.
00:38:22Kale, since they want proof, I'll show them.
00:38:42Who says I can't?
00:38:54That's your bonded beast?
00:38:56A furry little lizard?
00:39:01A mutant lizard with a little fur and you call it a bonded beast?
00:39:04Veya, even your lies are cheap.
00:39:06No noble crest.
00:39:07No aura.
00:39:08Kale, do you see now?
00:39:09This is all she has to prove she belongs here.
00:39:12Goldfeather, come.
00:39:13If she insists on calling that thing a bonded beast, show it what a real noble beast looks like.
00:39:19Kassandra, call off your beast.
00:39:21Feeling protective, Your Grace?
00:39:22Don't worry.
00:39:23Goldfeather's not picky.
00:39:24One bite and it'll all be over.
00:39:26Let her deal with this herself.
00:39:28She claims she had something to show.
00:39:30Now she must face the consequences.
00:39:33Goldfeather, swallow it whole!
00:39:37Luma, had enough fun?
00:39:43Valsina, Isera.
00:40:11Goldfeather, why are you bowing?
00:40:13Get up!
00:40:16That's the aura of a true dragon!
00:40:19Neil!
00:40:20Her bonded beast is a dragon!
00:40:22No.
00:40:23Impossible.
00:40:25Even House Goldenrose couldn't form a bond with a true dragon.
00:40:29How could she?
00:40:31Who are you, really?
00:40:34Veya.
00:40:40Leon, do you still think she's just a mutant lizard?
00:40:46Who says that thing is a dragon?
00:40:50Father!
00:40:51You came just in time!
00:40:53That woman is passing some monster off as a royal beast!
00:40:56Everyone, stand back.
00:40:57All bonded beasts are judged by the laws of the Dragon Corps.
00:41:00It looks like a dragon, but a true royal dragon must be registered with the Royal Beast Hall.
00:41:06At most, it's a corrupted dragon warped by dragon crystals.
00:41:10You heard him.
00:41:11It's only a corrupted dragon.
00:41:13I knew she could never bond with a true royal beast.
00:41:16Veya, that was quite a bluff.
00:41:18You nearly fooled us all with that corrupted dragon.
00:41:20You're absolutely certain she doesn't qualify as a royal beast?
00:41:23I have served the Dragon Court at the Royal Beast Hall for 20 years.
00:41:27Only Her Majesty can command the true dragons of the court.
00:41:29The three ancient dragons now sleep in dragon male temples.
00:41:33This corrupted creature cannot compare to them.
00:41:35A corrupted dragon brought a 7th-ranked griffon to its knees?
00:41:38That's quite a stretch, August.
00:41:39That creature may frighten everyone in this hall, but it won't fool the Dragon Court at the Queen's Ceremony.
00:41:44The moment you stand before the Royal Douse, your little trick will be exposed.
00:41:49Lord August, do you know what else is planned for Her Majesty's return ceremony?
00:41:53We've received word.
00:41:54At the ceremony, Her Majesty will name Her Royal Consort.
00:41:57Her Royal Consort? Her Majesty is going to choose a husband?
00:42:01If Her Majesty is about to name one, then Lord Leon must be.
00:42:05After years of serving the court, I believe you may be the man Her Majesty favors.
00:42:09Careful, Lord August. Her Majesty is far above me.
00:42:12I only wish to serve the Dragon Court faithfully.
00:42:14Anything more would be wishful thinking.
00:42:16Son, this isn't wishful thinking.
00:42:17Regent Martha sent you those gifts, and Lord August just said it himself.
00:42:20Vea, I didn't want to be so blunt, but now you see the truth.
00:42:26I am destined to stand beside the Queen.
00:42:30You really think the Queen will choose you?
00:42:32Fine, then let's wait for the return ceremony.
00:42:35We'll hear it from Her Majesty herself.
00:42:37If the Queen doesn't choose you, try not to cry.
00:42:40You really know nothing, do you?
00:42:42I had no intention of making this public.
00:42:44But at this point, there's no reason to keep it hidden.
00:42:46The one who has recognized my worth and supported me for the past seven years is the power behind Regent
00:42:51Martha.
00:42:52The only god in the Dragon Realm.
00:42:54It's one true ruler.
00:42:55The Dragon Queen!
00:42:58Son, were you saying it was Her Majesty?
00:43:02That she's the one who recognized your worth and supported you for the past seven years?
00:43:06Mother, isn't it obvious by now?
00:43:08Regent Martha was only acting on the Queen's behalf.
00:43:10Why else would she favor me alone?
00:43:11Why send me gifts fit for a royal consort?
00:43:13There's only one answer.
00:43:15Her Majesty recognized my talent long ago.
00:43:17She has been clearing my path, step by step, towards the very top of the Dragon Court.
00:43:22So you think everything you've received was because the Queen had her eye on you?
00:43:25What if I was the one behind all of it?
00:43:28You...
00:43:29Enough, Vea.
00:43:30You can't even prove who you are and now you want to take credit for everything Her Majesty gave me?
00:43:34Her Majesty herself has been backing Chancellor Leon?
00:43:38The Northern Reach is doomed.
00:43:41Grandmother.
00:43:41Chancellor Leon, when you stand before Her Majesty, please don't say anything against the Northern Reach.
00:43:48Regret it now, Duke Hale.
00:43:49The man you offended was personally chosen by Her Majesty.
00:43:52I have no regrets.
00:43:53If Her Majesty truly supports Leon, I'll answer to the Dragon Court myself.
00:43:57You see it now, Vea.
00:43:58Every noble here is on my side.
00:44:00The higher you rise, the happier I am.
00:44:02You certainly look better now than you did kneeling in a shack in Grey Vale begging me to save you.
00:44:07You?
00:44:08Son!
00:44:09Don't waste your breath on her.
00:44:11Once the Queen's ceremony begins, she'll see exactly how foolish she looks.
00:44:16If the Queen really is on Leon's side, do you know what that means for the Northern Reach?
00:44:22I do.
00:44:24And you still want to protect her?
00:44:26Grandmother, this isn't some reckless impulse.
00:44:28She gave me something no one else ever has.
00:44:31Marrying her was the first choice I made for myself.
00:44:33Go.
00:44:34Whether the Northern Reach lives or dies, I can't stop you anymore.
00:44:41Vea, listen to me.
00:44:43If the Queen really is on his side, I'll find a way to get you out of Crimson Heap.
00:44:46What about you?
00:44:47I'm the Duke of the Northern Reach.
00:44:48If the Queen wants someone to answer for this, she'll come for me.
00:44:51Kale, don't worry.
00:44:51If the Queen's return ceremony, you'll know who I really am.
00:44:57Your Majesty, Duke Golden Rose sent a secret letter today.
00:45:01House Golden Rose wants your support in taking control of part of the Northern Reach.
00:45:05They're also demanding a 30% increase in the price of Dragon Crystals.
00:45:0830%?
00:45:10House Golden Rose is getting greedier by the day.
00:45:12They've also been reaching into the Northern Reach's border defenses and trade routes.
00:45:16If the Northern Reach falls, the undead will overrun the entire defense line.
00:45:21Then Golden Rose's Dragon Crystal Mines will become nests for Frost Revenants.
00:45:25Then you mean to refuse House Golden Rose?
00:45:28No.
00:45:28Let them keep thinking they've won.
00:45:30Should we still give House Golden Rose a seat token for the Queen's Ceremony?
00:45:33Yes.
00:45:34And not just any token.
00:45:36Give them the highest-ranking Divine Dragon token.
00:45:39Your Majesty, the Divine Dragon token ranks just below the Ancestral Dragon token.
00:45:44Giving House Golden Rose that much authority, wouldn't that be too dangerous?
00:45:47Martha.
00:45:48Martha, have you ever seen a hunter worry about using too much bait?
00:45:52The higher House Golden Rose climbs, the harder it will fall.
00:45:55I understand.
00:45:56You want them to climb all the way to the top and destroy themselves when they get there.
00:45:59I enjoy watching the arrogant make fools of themselves.
00:46:03Right before they come crashing down.
00:46:09Son!
00:46:10Look at this!
00:46:11Even Lady Aurora knows she can't afford to stand against us anymore.
00:46:15Mother, this is only the beginning.
00:46:16Once I become the Queen's Royal Consort, the entire Northern Reach will belong to House Silverville.
00:46:21Lord Leon, Regent Martha sent me to deliver your seat token for Her Majesty's Return Ceremony.
00:46:27She also asked me to pass along a message.
00:46:29Her Majesty looks forward to meeting you.
00:46:31Son, did you hear that?
00:46:32Her Majesty herself is looking forward to meeting you!
00:46:36Her Majesty has shown me great favor.
00:46:40I won't let her down.
00:46:42Lord Leon, this is a Divine Dragon token.
00:46:44Only two have been issued.
00:46:45A Divine Dragon token?
00:46:46And there are only two?
00:46:48Son, you really are the one Her Majesty favors most!
00:46:51Mother, I told you.
00:46:53I, Leon Silvervale, am destined to rise to the very top of the Seven Realms.
00:46:58Son, this isn't wishful thinking.
00:47:01Regent Martha sent you those gifts, and Lord August just said it himself!
00:47:06Regent Martha sent us a Divine Dragon token.
00:47:09It seems Her Majesty truly does favor House Golden Rose.
00:47:13Father, with this seal in our hands, the North will belong to House Golden Rose after the ceremony.
00:47:18The Queen stands with us.
00:47:23Congratulations on receiving a Divine Dragon token, Lord Leon.
00:47:26Her Majesty clearly holds you in high regard.
00:47:28Then our two houses should stand together and serve Her Majesty faithfully.
00:47:31Especially the North.
00:47:33Kale rejected our marriage alliance for some countrywoman, then humiliated you in public.
00:47:37That's a score we should settle together.
00:47:38After the ceremony, I will support House Golden Rose in taking control of the Northern Reach.
00:47:43Your house is clearly better suited to govern it.
00:47:46Once our two houses join forces, who among the Seven Realms would dare oppose us?
00:47:56Your Grace! An urgent dispatch from the Northern Reach!
00:48:00Something happened at the Aurora Rampart?
00:48:02No. The Court approved both Dragon Crystal trade routes and the full allocation of one billion Dragon Crystals.
00:48:08Her Majesty signed the order herself.
00:48:17Somehow, you always make the impossible possible.
00:48:28Are you ready for this?
00:48:29The nobles of the Seven Realms will be here.
00:48:31What about you?
00:48:32Are you ready to stand with me?
00:48:34I've been ready to face whatever comes since the day I married you.
00:48:40Then let's go.
00:48:41Your Duchess won't let you down.
00:48:44Kale Frostwing, Duke of the Northern Reach.
00:48:47And Vea Frostwing, Duchess of the Northern Reach.
00:48:50Enter the hall!
00:48:54She just won't stay down.
00:48:56I thought she'd be too scared to show up.
00:48:58Kale, you still brought her here?
00:49:00Are you trying to bring ruin upon the entire Northern Reach?
00:49:03Grandmother, she is my wife and the rightful Duchess of the Northern Reach.
00:49:07Her place is beside me.
00:49:08Let it go, Lady Aurora.
00:49:10Once the ceremony is over, everything will be clear.
00:49:12Leon, you're sitting awfully high today.
00:49:14Exactly where Her Majesty placed me.
00:49:17Then you'd better hold on.
00:49:18It's a long way down.
00:49:20Kale, I never thought you'd actually dare bring her to the Queen's return ceremony.
00:49:24Cecilia, we're here to honor Her Majesty.
00:49:26I'm not going to argue with you here.
00:49:28I almost feel sorry for you.
00:49:30Tell me, Vea, what do you have to offer him?
00:49:32Dragon crystals?
00:49:33The favor of the royal court?
00:49:34I can give him what you never could.
00:49:36Kale, if you put aside your pride and agree to this marriage,
00:49:39House Golden Rose may still extend its protection to the Northern Reach.
00:49:43The Northern Reach does not need House Golden Rose protection.
00:49:46Kale, don't be foolish.
00:49:48You should know better than to refuse us.
00:49:50Here's an easier way.
00:49:52Put this on, clean yourself up,
00:49:53and come wait on me in my chambers after the ceremony.
00:49:56Please me, and perhaps I'll grant you a few dragon crystal mines.
00:50:04What did you just tell my husband to wear?
00:50:06Was I not clear enough?
00:50:08Kale Frostwing, if you please me,
00:50:10I might even take you as a secondary consort.
00:50:14You dared humiliate my husband right in front of me,
00:50:16you will answer for it.
00:50:19Did you all hear that?
00:50:20Some country nobody just threatened me.
00:50:22Does she have any idea what occasion this is?
00:50:24She must have a death wish.
00:50:26Since you're so determined to throw your life away,
00:50:28let me show you exactly who you chose to offend.
00:50:31The Divine Dragon Token.
00:50:34Second only to Her Majesty's Ancestral Dragon Token.
00:50:37Its baroner holds veto power at court and commands the royal god.
00:50:41Via, under the laws of the Dragon Court,
00:50:44I can have you arrested on the spot.
00:50:47By what authority?
00:50:49By Her Majesty's authority, this token carries the Queen's will.
00:50:54As its bearer, I hereby strip Kale Frostwing of his title as Duke of the Northern Reach.
00:51:00Guards, seize him and that false duchess.
00:51:03The Divine Dragon Token really does grant its barrier the power to strip the lord of his title.
00:51:07Lady Cecilia isn't bluffing.
00:51:14Cecilia, don't you dare.
00:51:15I already have.
00:51:16I'm the one in command now.
00:51:18Give in, Duke Kale.
00:51:19Is one woman worth sacrificing the entire Northern Reach?
00:51:22Are you certain yours truly carries the Queen's will?
00:51:24Still defiant when you're one step from death?
00:51:27Guards, seize them.
00:51:45Bearers of the Divine Dragon Tokens, Lord Leon Silverveil and Lady Cecilia Goldenrose,
00:51:50take your places in the second tier seats.
00:52:08The Divine Dragon Tokens have recognized their rightful bearers.
00:52:12And there are only two such seats in the entire hall.
00:52:15There's no need for such surprise.
00:52:18Her Majesty has placed great trust in me.
00:52:20I intend to prove myself worthy of that trust.
00:52:23Do you still think you can protect her, Kale?
00:52:26A second tier seat and a Divine Dragon Token.
00:52:29This is what Her Majesty's favor looks like.
00:52:31Lady Aurora, the Divine Dragon Tokens have spoken.
00:52:33If Duke Kale continues down this path, the entire Northern Reach will pay for his stubbornness.
00:52:39Do you see it now, Veya?
00:52:41Lady Cecilia and I sit above the court.
00:52:43You can only stand below and look up at us.
00:52:46That's how far beneath us you are.
00:52:49What are you staring at?
00:52:50That throne belongs to Her Majesty.
00:52:53Don't tell me you actually think you belong there.
00:52:56Careful, Lady Cecilia.
00:52:58She might actually start believing it.
00:53:01Imagine the spectacle if she tried to sit on the Queen's throne.
00:53:05You're right.
00:53:06Not just anyone can sit on that throne.
00:53:08At least you finally understand your place.
00:53:17Do you see who holds the power now, Kale?
00:53:20Or do you still intend to defend that wretched woman?
00:53:24Then don't expect any mercy from me.
00:53:27Guards, seize Kale Frostwit and that false duchess.
00:53:32Hold it!
00:53:36What now, Veya?
00:53:37Finally ready to beg for mercy?
00:53:39You're too late.
00:53:40I'll grant you this.
00:53:41Your Divine Dragon token outranks Kale's Wurling token.
00:53:45Under court protocol, you have the authority to issue commands.
00:53:48So, you finally know your place?
00:53:50You misunderstand.
00:53:51I never wanted the fourth lael seat that comes with the Wurling token.
00:53:58Did you hear her?
00:53:59She only got through those doors because Duke Kale brought her and now she's acting like
00:54:02a fourth-tier seat is beneath her?
00:54:04Veya, even that Wurling token came from Kale.
00:54:07Without him, you wouldn't have a place in this hall at all.
00:54:10And you still dare claim a fourth-tier seat isn't good enough for you?
00:54:13Then tell us.
00:54:14What seat could possibly be worthy of you?
00:54:17Mine?
00:54:18No.
00:54:20My place...
00:54:24is up there.
00:54:25You've lost your mind!
00:54:26That throne belongs to Her Majesty!
00:54:28Veya, you dare claim the Queen's throne!
00:54:31That is treason!
00:54:32Guards!
00:54:33Arrest her!
00:54:34She's trying to seize the throne!
00:54:39I'm not seizing anything.
00:54:41I'm returning to what was always mine.
00:54:46She actually said the Queen's throne belongs to her?
00:54:49How dare she?
00:54:50That's treason!
00:54:51She's never even seen what the Ancestral Dragon token looks like.
00:54:54It is Her Majesty's one and only token in all seven reljums.
00:54:57What proof could she possibly have?
00:54:58Veya, pretending to be a noble was bad enough.
00:55:00Now you dare impersonate the Queen?
00:55:02Do you have any idea what that crime means?
00:55:04It could wipe out your entire bloodline!
00:55:05Guards!
00:55:06What are you waiting for?
00:55:07Seize her!
00:55:08Wait.
00:55:09Let her prove it.
00:55:19Is that the Ancestral Dragon token?
00:55:22It's fake.
00:55:23It has to be.
00:55:24She's not even a noble.
00:55:25How could she possibly have the Ancestral Dragon token?
00:55:27Veya, forging the Ancestral Dragon token is punishable by death.
00:55:32You may fool everyone here, but you will never fool Her Majesty.
00:55:36You're right.
00:55:37Only the Dragon Queen may wield this token.
00:55:40And I happen to be the only one who can.
00:55:45Stop her!
00:55:46She's going for the throne!
00:55:47Don't let her take another step!
00:55:48Veya!
00:55:49Take one more step and there will be no turning back!
00:55:53Veya...
00:55:56Veya...
00:55:58Veya, from now on, just stand by my side.
00:56:01Leave the rest to me.
00:56:12Veya...
00:56:16Regent Martha, you're just in time.
00:56:18This woman is impersonating the Queen.
00:56:20Martha, I ask that you arrest this imposter immediately.
00:56:23Her Majesty's return ceremony must not be defiled.
00:56:25The Royal Beast Hall can confirm that she has no recognized noble standing.
00:56:34Regent Martha, Veya is my wife.
00:56:36If an offense has been committed, I will answer for it alone.
00:56:40Please, do not hurt her.
00:56:42Veya, Regent Martha is here now.
00:56:44How much longer do you intend to keep up this act?
00:56:48Regent Martha...
00:56:50You...
00:56:50Silence!
00:56:52You are not worthy to address Her Majesty.
00:57:05I, Martha Ironhinnit, welcome Her Majesty Veya Dragomir to the Dragon Queen.
00:57:10Back to her rightful throne.
00:57:12She...
00:57:12She really is the Queen?
00:57:14No.
00:57:15That's impossible.
00:57:17How could Veya possibly be the Queen?
00:57:20Rise.
00:57:21Nice.
00:57:23Nice.
00:57:38Toxic Th clemens.
00:57:45Oh.
00:57:46Whoa.
00:58:00She truly is the Dragon Queen.
00:58:09All hail the Dragon Queen.
00:58:17Veya, no. Your Majesty, I didn't know. I swear I didn't know.
00:58:22So, you really are the Queen.
00:58:30Leon Silvervale, you claimed you had the Queen's backing.
00:58:35While the Queen is here, what do you have to say for yourself?
00:58:40Your Majesty.
00:58:41I didn't know. If I had known you were the Queen, I never would have treated you that way.
00:58:45So that's your excuse? If I were still just an ordinary healer from Greyville, would the way you treated me
00:58:50have been right?
00:58:52That's not what I meant.
00:59:01Your Majesty! Leon misled me! He told me you were just some penniless woman trying to cling to him. That's
00:59:06why I treated you that way!
00:59:08Misled by Leon? You were the one who threw gold coins in my face that day.
00:59:11You were the one who called me Lowborn, a filthy commoner. Your son wasn't holding your hand and forcing you
00:59:16to do it.
00:59:17Your Majesty, House Golden Rose never intended to disrespect you.
00:59:20Regent Martha gave us the Divine Dragon Token. I believed it meant the Royal Court stood behind our house. I
00:59:25acted on that belief. This was all a misunderstanding.
00:59:27A misunderstanding? You used the Dragon Token to strip Kale of his title. You humiliated him before the entire court
00:59:33and made him wear a servant's livery.
00:59:34Was that a misunderstanding too? Your Majesty, I was only upholding the rules of Crimson Keep. I had no idea
00:59:41who you were.
00:59:41The rules? Did the rules put that whip in your hand? Did they tell you that anyone without a noble
00:59:46crest was yours to throw out and humiliate?
00:59:48Every one of you keeps saying you didn't know I was the Queen. But even if I weren't the Queen,
00:59:53would any of what you did have been right?
01:00:13Every one of you keeps saying you didn't know I was the Queen. Do you remember this?
01:00:15Seven years ago, Grayville, the plague camps. I pulled you back from death. For the next seven years, I paid
01:00:22for your education. I opened every door for you. Even your nomination as Royal Chancellor was approved by me.
01:00:28Your Majesty, I was wrong.
01:00:31And how did you repay me? Threw this in my face and told me to get out.
01:00:35Your Majesty, I was a fool. I did love you back in Grayville. I did.
01:00:43Martha, revoke Leon Silvervale's nomination as Royal Chancellor. Reclaim all resources granted to House Silvervale over the past seven years.
01:00:51Take Leon Silvervale to the Dragon Prison to await trial.
01:01:00My son! Your Majesty, please, please spare him! He's my only son!
01:01:07Don't worry. You're next.
01:01:17Ethelaine Silvervale, do you remember what you said to me outside the banquet hall?
01:01:21Your Majesty, I... I... I don't remember.
01:01:25Then let me remind you. You said my life was worth a hundred gold crowns.
01:01:29Your Majesty, I was wrong! I don't know what came over me! Please have mercy! Forgive me!
01:01:35Bring me a bag of gold crowns.
01:01:43Pick them up. Every last one. I said, pick them up.
01:01:52Whose life can that one coin buy?
01:01:54No one's... He can't buy anyone's life.
01:02:01Take her to the Dragon Prison alongside Leon to await trial.
01:02:07My son! Your Majesty, please spare him! He's my only son!
01:02:13You're next.
01:02:14Cecilia Goldenroos, do you admit your guilt?
01:02:17Your Majesty, I admit I offended you, but only because I didn't know who you were.
01:02:20And you still think your only crime was offending me?
01:02:24For years, you've used that as leverage, forcing the Northern Reach toward a marriage alliance.
01:02:28Driving up prices. Bleeding its border defense budget dry year after year.
01:02:32Your Majesty, Dragon Crystal mining is extremely costly.
01:02:35Our prices are fair.
01:02:36House Goldenroos has done nothing improper.
01:02:38Nothing improper?
01:02:39You threatened to cut off the Northern Reach's Dragon Crystal supply unless Kale accepted the marriage alliance.
01:02:44Is that what you call proper?
01:02:45Your Majesty, House Goldenroos is willing to lower its Dragon Crystal prices by 30%!
01:02:50That won't be necessary.
01:02:51By my decree, the two Dragon Crystal trade routes bordering the Northern Reach will pass under House Frostwing's direct control.
01:02:56Your Majesty, those two trade routes have been the lifeline of House Goldenroos for a hundred years!
01:03:02Revoke House Goldenroos's Divine Dragon token.
01:03:05Reject the proposed marriage alliance between House Goldenroos and House Frostwing.
01:03:11Effective immediately, the Royal Court will audit every mine and account belonging to House Goldenroos.
01:03:17Until that audit is complete, suspend all of the House's Dragon Crystal trading privileges.
01:03:22It's over.
01:03:23Guards!
01:03:33Let go of me! You cannot do this!
01:03:36Father!
01:03:44Cassandra Lionheart, do you admit your guilt?
01:03:47Your Majesty, I was only upholding the rules of Crimson Cape. I didn't know you were the Queen.
01:03:52The Office of Protocol is supposed to uphold the dignity of the Royal Court. It is not there to hand
01:03:57you a whip and let you bully anyone beneath you.
01:04:00Strip House Lionheart of its authority over Crimson Kill's Office of Protocol.
01:04:04Send Sandra Lionheart to the Royal Tribunal of Protocol.
01:04:08She will stand trial for abusing her authority and punishing a royal guest without permission.
01:04:16From now on, no noble may humiliate or drive out anyone who has been lawfully admitted to the Royal Court
01:04:21because of their bloodline, crest, or family background.
01:04:24As you command. All praise Her Majesty's wisdom.
01:04:29Your Majesty, I was wrong. Please have mercy. Please spare me!
01:04:34Your Majesty!
01:04:37Your Majesty! Please!
01:04:39Your Majesty!
01:04:50Your Majesty!
01:04:53Your Majesty!
01:04:59I...
01:05:06You weren't mistaken. You were biased. You branded Lumi a corrupted dragon to protect your daughter, and to curry favor
01:05:15with the man you thought would become the Royal Consort.
01:05:17If Lumi had bonded with Cecilia Goldenrose that day, would you still have called it a corrupted dragon?
01:05:45Three ancient dragons have bowed to their master. Your Majesty.
01:05:52August Lionheart is stripped of his position as the examiner of the Royal Beast Hall.
01:05:58Take him to the Dragon Prison to await trial.
01:06:02I... admit my guilt.
01:06:06So... it really was you.
01:06:09Are you afraid of me now, Kale?
01:06:12Afraid. But I'm more afraid you won't let me stand beside you anymore.
01:06:20Lady Aurora. Do you acknowledge your fault?
01:06:25I do, Your Majesty. I was blind. I failed to recognize you.
01:06:31I have brought shame upon the ancestors of House Frostwing.
01:06:35Your mistake wasn't failing to recognize me. It was believing you could protect the Northern Reach through a humiliating marriage
01:06:43alliance incurring favor with the powerful.
01:06:47You are right, Your Majesty.
01:06:50I forgot that the people of the North have never survived by surrendering.
01:06:54Grandmother, the Northern Reach doesn't need to survive by trading away my marriage.
01:06:59I didn't marry Veya for her crown. I wanted to marry her long before I knew the truth.
01:07:05I understand now, Kale. I was wrong.
01:07:11Lady Aurora, House Frostwing has guarded the border for generations and never once retreated.
01:07:18From this day forward, the Northern Reach will never have to bow to anyone again.
01:07:25On behalf of every soldier and citizen of the Northern Reach, I thank Your Majesty for this great favor.
01:07:36What for?
01:07:38The Northern Reach is yours.
01:07:41And it's mine too.
01:07:45Before this ceremony concludes, there is one final matter to announce.
01:07:52Kale Frostwing, Duke of the Northern Reach, step forward for your induction.
01:08:08At your command, Your Majesty.
01:08:12You married me before you knew the truth.
01:08:15You protected me while everyone else mocked me.
01:08:18Even when you feared I might offend the Queen, you still tried to send me somewhere safe.
01:08:25Because from the very beginning, you were worth every risk.
01:08:31Then, on this day, I, Veya Dragonmere, the Dragon Queen, hereby invest Kale Frostwing, Duke of the Northern Reach, as
01:08:41the Dragon Consort and the throne's oath bound.
01:08:57I, Kale Frostwing, swear upon my body and soul to defend Her Majesty and the Dragon Throne.
01:09:17My husband.
01:09:20You never have to kneel before me.
01:09:23Then you may have to get used to it.
01:09:25I may still choose to kneel.
01:09:29You're worth it.
01:09:39You came after all.
01:09:42Martha said you asked to see me one last time.
01:09:45All these years, I was terrified of becoming that penniless bastard again.
01:09:50Then Martha's support kept flowing in, one thing after another.
01:10:00Little by little, I began to believe I belonged above everyone else.
01:10:05You were afraid of losing everything you had gained.
01:10:09I was terrified.
01:10:11That's why I panicked when you appeared at the Investachment feast.
01:10:14I was afraid you'd expose my past.
01:10:17Leon.
01:10:19Have you ever wondered what your life would be like today?
01:10:22What if you had chosen me back then and stayed by my side?
01:10:26I gave you that chance.
01:10:28But when you cast me aside,
01:10:31you didn't only throw away my love.
01:10:35You threw away your own dignity and conscience.
01:10:39Your Majesty.
01:10:41I don't ask you to forgive me.
01:10:44But please, spare my mother.
01:10:48She's old.
01:10:49She won't survive the dragon prison.
01:10:51Let all the guilt fall on me alone.
01:10:55Even now, you're still pleading for her.
01:10:57That tells me there's some humanity left in you.
01:11:00And I won't punish her more harshly out of spite.
01:11:04She'll be judged by the law.
01:11:07No favors.
01:11:08No vengeance.
01:11:09Thank you for sparing my life.
01:11:13Then live.
01:11:14Pay back what you owe yourself.
01:11:26Martha, read the royal decree.

01:11:57Consult with the ministers.
01:11:59From this day forward, who uses the Queen's name for personal gain will be punished under the laws of the

01:13:50Let the Rite of Dragonfire Restoration begin.
01:14:06Seven years ago, I left the Royal Court as a healer and went to Grayville to fight the plague.
01:14:11Today, I return to restore the Dragon Throne.
01:14:17And rekindle its flame.
01:14:19I lost the man I once thought I would spend my life with.
01:14:23But I found one who asked me to marry him when I had nothing.
01:14:27From this day forward, I, Veya Dragomir, reclaim my place as the Dragon Queen.
01:14:40May dragonfire burn forever!
01:14:44Long live the Dragon Queen!
