00:09Following its interception, the vessel was escorted to Mexican territory,
00:13where it remains in the custody of maritime authorities.
00:16The Comodo flagship was detained for alleged violations of the provisions established
00:20for the prevention of oil pollution and compliance with international standards
00:24regarding the protection of the marine environment.
00:26The incident comes after the U.S. government implemented in January an oil blockade
00:31against the Caribbean island, strengthening an economic and financial blockade
00:34in force for more than six decades.
