Macy's Philadelphia Store continues the Christmas tradition started by The John Wanamaker's Dept Store back in 1956 and has continued to entertain Christmas shoppers for generations.
Once narrated by legendary Philadelphia newscaster and the "voice" of NFL Films, John Facenda, in recent years, the program has been narrated by Academy Award-winning actress, Julie Andrews. The show is still a favorite among Philadelphians, who flock to what is now Macy's Dept Store to enjoy this annual holiday tradition.
