00:00Let's do it! Let's do talking on camera!
00:04That is our new theme song.
00:06That's your new theme song.
00:06You can use that, that's fine, that's yours.
00:08Thank you very much.
00:10This is the IMDB show, presented by our friends at Kellogg's,
00:13Coby Smallwoods.
00:14Hey!
00:15Welcome to the show.
00:15What's up?
00:16I'm very well.
00:17Oh my God, it's a live audience all of a sudden.
00:20They have not made a sound until the applause.
00:21What audience? That's on the sound queue.
00:23Thank you for dressing up for us. Nice tuxedo.
00:25Well, thank you for noticing.
00:27Yeah, of course.
00:27That's what we're here for.
00:28I am not wearing pants, so I hope you don't go past my belly button.
00:31Now, where do I go from here?
00:32That would be really awkward.
00:33But, here we are.
00:35Spider-Man Far From Home is out.
00:37Yeah.
00:37You have been snapped out of existence, snapped back into existence,
00:41and then straight into Spider-Man.
00:42What's the time like?
00:43It's a powerful snap.
00:44What's it like being Coby Smulders right now?
00:46It's like non-stop work.
00:47Like, when do you chill?
00:49I wouldn't say that, but I agree with you.
00:52I mean, I'm still recovering from the snaps.
00:55And I think we're all still recovering from these huge movies.
00:59Honestly, I'm a bit hungover.
01:00I'm not sure if you're real or…
01:01I'm the realest person you're ever going to meet.
01:03I shot the first Avengers movie.
01:052012?
01:05When I auditioned for it, I didn't even know the character that I was playing.
01:11I was just given a scene that Joss Whedon had written, which was, like, female agent.
01:17And my husband, who is such a crazy Marvel fan, was like, oh, it's the Wasp.
01:23Oh, it's the Wasp.
01:24It's the Wasp.
01:24And…
01:25He was making guesses.
01:26He was making guesses.
01:27And I was willing to roll the dice.
01:29If only Cap could see you now.
01:31Being Maria Hill, for me, it's been such a great role because I get to sort of be a part
01:37of it and internally watch this evolution.
01:41But just kind of be able to pop in and kind of seek these little moments out and get invited
01:46to the premieres.
01:47Lucky for us, we got the best seats in the house.
01:50Who were you excited to meet that you had never met before?
01:53I remember meeting Robert for the first time and being very intimidated by that.
01:57I would have thought once you meet Samuel L. Jackson, there's no one else you'll be starstruck by, but RDJ,
02:02I guess, is such a character.
02:03It depends on what you watched when you were younger and growing up.
02:08And certainly, like, Pulp Fiction was a big one for me.
02:10This is a tasty burger.
02:12But Robert was, like, there were some potentially romantic feelings back in the day watching some of his films.
02:19For everybody, I think we can all admit that.
02:21How kind, really.
02:23God, I love the way you said that.
02:24It's such a weird thing when you meet people that you had feelings for watching them on screen.
02:31Like, I understand it, but it's...
02:32Believe me, I get it.
02:33You know what I mean?
02:34Oh, you little flirt.
02:35No, I'm telling you.
02:35No, I meant other guests.
02:36You meant other people?
02:37Yeah, for sure.
02:38I promise a stress for your environment.
02:40No tension.
02:41No surprises.
02:42Ow!
02:43We can't talk about how Spider-Man Far From Home ends.
02:45Why not?
02:46Well, we can't, because it'd be spoilers.
02:48People get angry.
02:49Boring.
02:50Party pooper.
02:51You wanna?
02:52I'm willing.
02:52Yeah.
02:53No, I like my job.
02:54But, you know, what we can talk about is where it starts.
02:57And we know that that's in a world after Tony Stark is gone.
03:01Yeah, Sam Stark.
03:02That's what kind of this movie is about.
03:03Obviously, Tony Stark was like a big part of Peter Parker's life.
03:07An idol.
03:08And now that he's gone, I feel like it is a moment for this kid to sort of contemplate
03:14where he should be in this world now.
03:19I didn't think I was gonna have to save the world this summer.
03:22My role in the film is I want him to, like, get back to work.
03:26I'm like, let's go.
03:28There are responsibilities.
03:29You owe the people.
03:31Like, you need to step up.
03:32And he just wants to, like, go f*** around in Europe.
03:35I am going on vacation.
03:37Is that what's interesting about playing Maria Hill?
03:39You know, you don't have superpowers.
03:40Yeah.
03:40But in some way.
03:42Or do I?
03:43Well, no.
03:43I mean, I don't.
03:44You don't.
03:45Did you ever wish, like, at one point you get the Tesseract?
03:46I mean, every script.
03:48I'm like, does she?
03:49No.
03:50Okay.
03:50All right.
03:50I'm on the Bluetooth.
03:51Okay.
03:52Got it.
03:52Got it.
03:52Got it.
03:52That thing was squeezing my brain.
03:54But they gave you your moments.
03:56I mean, we got to see Maria.
03:57I got great moments.
03:57I'm not ungrateful.
03:59I'm very grateful for my moments.
04:00What do you think Maria Hill brought to the Avengers since the first time you appeared?
04:05I think she's certainly providing, like, information.
04:07I always make jokes where it's like, hey, audience.
04:10This is what's just happened.
04:11This is what we need to achieve, and this is what we're hoping to do.
04:14Okay.
04:15Superheroes back in.
04:16Is that really a priority right now?
04:18Until such time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on.
04:21On screen, you and Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, have an amazing chemistry.
04:26How did you approach that off screen?
04:29Sam is a delightful human being, so it doesn't take much to, like, get along well with him.
04:35When we shot the first Avengers, we were on that ship and it was all glass.
04:38And we were talking about an imaginary fight or something.
04:41And he was like, oh, I could just, you know, take out my lightsaber and do this thing.
04:44I was like, oh, yeah, like a Star Wars reference.
04:47That's funny.
04:47You're so rich.
04:48And then 10 minutes later, I went, oh, he was in Star Wars.
04:52Right.
04:52I am going to end this once and for all.
04:55You've got an amazing following online.
04:57They love you.
04:57Oh.
04:58So we grabbed the question on Twitter from at Evans underscore best Chris.
05:03He or she asks, I still miss hashtag how I met your mother.
05:06Is there anything you miss about having Robin in your life?
05:09And is there a chance of a reunion?
05:11I'll always miss it.
05:12It was the best job I think I'll ever have.
05:14What do you miss the most about it?
05:15Like, now you can look back.
05:17What's the one thing you miss?
05:18I miss the people.
05:18I miss our crew.
05:19And I miss our cast.
05:20And I miss seeing them every day.
05:22Maybe that's it.
05:23Maybe there's just too much awesome here.
05:24But the second part of the question was-
05:26Chance of a reunion.
05:27I guess inquiring minds want to know.
05:28I mean, I think it's too soon.
05:31We did the show for nine years, which is such an insane accomplishment for our writers, our
05:39crew, all the actors.
05:41And it felt like enough.
05:44Like, it felt like we did it and we set out to tell this story and we were able to
05:48complete
05:49it the way that the creators wanted to complete it.
05:51But I would have liked to milk things more, but you know, you do what you can do.
05:55And I hope that people now, when they watch it-
05:59They love it.
05:59That they can appreciate that more.
06:02That's done.
06:03No more of that.
06:04Let's talk, Kobe, about what you're watching at home.
06:07I am really into Fosse Verdon.
06:11You are gonna love Bobby.
06:13No, I know who he is.
06:14He's the one with the head.
06:15There's such an interesting dynamic between these two characters.
06:19Maybe it's not so terrible.
06:21No, maybe not.
06:22What's something else?
06:23Killing Eve.
06:25I'm really obsessed with.
06:26There are concerns about your state of mind.
06:30Okay.
06:31I love that it's a show about two female leads.
06:34I love that it's an interesting, dark love story between these two.
06:38And funny.
06:39I'm not here to entertain you.
06:40I have a lot of work to do.
06:41I'm not wearing a bra.
06:42And frankly, I just want to go home.
06:44What else are you looking forward to?
06:45Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
06:47It's official, old buddy.
06:49And my hair's been.
06:49I don't get to the theater very often because they have children.
06:55You can't blame your kids for everything.
06:57Yes, you can.
06:57That's why I have them.
06:58Embarrass yourself like that in front of all the goddamn people.
07:01I don't know much about it, quite honestly.
07:03I mean, it's got Leo and Brad.
07:05That your son?
07:06No, that's my stunt double, Cliff Booth.
07:08I'm interested in old Hollywood and it looks beautiful.
07:12I love that stuff.
07:13You're the killing.
07:14A lot of killing.
07:15This is a lot of fun.
07:16Thank you so much.
07:17Thank you for having me.
07:18Congrats on everything.
07:20Thank you for having me.
07:20You're going to want to check out Kobe in Spider-Man Far From Home in theaters right now.
07:24Big thanks to our friends at Kellogg's.
07:26And for more interviews with the stars of all the movies you want to see this summer,
07:30go to imdb.com slash show.
