00:16Because these operations have targeted not only LGBTI persons, but also families who have stood up for their rights.
00:23Academics, journalists, activists, feminists have been targeted, and every day dozens of social media accounts are being blocked.
00:32Just yesterday, the independent news platform, Tay24, was completely blocked because of sharing content containing so-called LGBTI propaganda.
00:42The allegations directed at LGBTI associations are about the funding received from the French embassy, the German embassy, the Dutch
00:51consulate, UNDP, and even this very institution, Council of Europe.
00:57To give you just one example, an investigation document about an association includes a single transfer of 519 US dollars
01:06from the Council of Europe.
01:08These associations now face the risk of closure.
01:12And the investigation file explicitly refers to causing public disorder and social values.
01:18Let us be clear about what this implies.
01:20According to this allegation, foreign states, including some represented here today, are supposedly financing efforts to destroy the family structure
01:31and social values of Turkey through LGBTI organizations.
01:36Dear colleagues, especially from France, Germany, and the Netherlands, I have a question for you.
01:42Has any representative of the government ever warned you asking why are you spending money to cause public disorder in
01:50my country?
01:51In all these debates this week, I have never heard such a warning.
01:56If you have not been warned like this, then I must ask you, isn't there a strange contradiction here?
