00:04Well, the Dallas Stars take a four to nothing loss against the St. Louis Blues in their home
00:09opener at the American Airlines Center, and it seems as if the Dallas Stars could not find their
00:14footing being shut out in their first game of the season. Last year, the Stars were only shut
00:19out three times. Five-on-five play was not there for the Stars tonight, as that was one of the
00:26points going in to this upcoming season as being able to execute on some of those goals. Stars 0 for
00:33four on the power play tonight, and this is how it all went down. In the first period, Stars started
00:39off
00:39not on a great front. About a minute and a half into the game, the St. Louis Blues McTavish scored
00:45into that first period, and the Stars could not execute on their first power play opportunity.
00:51Going into the second, there was an injured St. Louis Blues player who went down the tunnel.
00:57A little fight from R2 Huru, who also executed to push the Stars onto the power play where they were
01:06not able to complete. Tyler Sagan was called for hooking, and another power play opportunity for
01:12Dallas where they went 0 for 3 going through those first two periods. And then going into the third
01:19period, a very scary moment for Rope Hintz, who had a knee-to-knee hit and was helped off the
01:25ice.
01:26He did return to the bench eventually, but the Stars were not able to follow through on their final power
01:32play opportunity, and they lose to the Blues 4-0 in their home opener. The Dallas Stars now traveling
01:39to Nashville for their first back-to-back game of the season tomorrow evening at 7 p.m., and then
01:46the Stars
01:46will be back home on Monday evening against the San Jose Sharks. I'm Savannah Humoller from the
01:51American Airlines Center, and you've been credentialed.
