A tribute to Tom Frost, the visionary who redefined climbing style, the engineer who helped revolutionize climbing equipment, the artist whose iconic photography documented the most celebrated first ascents on Yosemite’s big walls, and the conservationist who lead the international effort to save historic Camp 4—the traditional home and meeting place for Yosemite climbers.

00:00I think Tom's story is really worth telling and his story touches on the history of climbing
00:06and evolution in all aspects from the vision to how we actually use the equipment today.
00:13I was shocked when I've been hanging out with some of the young people who are super strong
00:19climbers who don't know who Royal Robins was, who Tom Frost was.
00:26Like, it's pretty crazy when you realize how many of the super strong young climbers don't
00:33really have any idea of what the history of the sport is anymore.
00:37Legend.
00:39You know, just one of the founders of big wall climbing is what I think of and an explorer.
00:48This film and, you know, as an individual, my goal is to lead by example and Tom really
00:55did that.
00:56And, you know, how can I set the best example and do it in the best style so that that's
01:01the thing to do and not damage the place that we love.
01:05So, let's move on.
