In a moment where routine gives way to instinct, the stairwell becomes the fastest route to safety.

The clip shows people moving quickly down an indoor staircase, crowding the steps as they head toward the building’s exit. The camera follows the flow of the group as they descend, with the movement of the crowd tightening in the confined space.

“I recorded this video myself during the strong earthquake that struck Colombia on August 10, 2026. I was in Valle del Cauca when the earthquake occurred at approximately 7:35 a.m. The video captures my genuine reaction to the strong shaking as it happened,” the filmer, Reinaldo, told WooGlobe.

Even without a clear view outside, the urgency in the stairwell reflects how quickly an earthquake can shift priorities.

The scene ends with the group still focused on getting out.
