Some celebrations land differently when a pet is in the room.
Inside a home, a cat is seen near people gathered for the moment. Party poppers go off, and the cat jolts and darts away, running quickly around the room as the group looks on.
"I decided to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday, so I invited some friends over at midnight to wish him a happy birthday together. I also decided to film his reaction, but I did not expect the cat to react the way he did to the party poppers," the filmer, Elizaveta, told WooGlobe.
The sudden burst turns the scene into a brief scramble, with the cat circling past furniture before moving out of frame.
It is a small reminder that a planned surprise can end up belonging to the most unexpected guest.
