00:00He is special, you're lucky Malaysia.
00:03John Bisley beri ucapan perpisahan awal buat Malaysia menjelang hari-hari terakhirnya bersama skuad berbasikal drag negada.
00:27bekas pelumunya Jason Niblett.
00:3038 years young, so I still feel young and I'm 64, so he's a baby, but it's just the way,
00:41you know, he's the ultimate professional, he looks after himself exceptionally well on and off the bike and that's the
00:48difference, like he pays attention to detail and he makes those sacrifices that he needs to make and I've never
00:55met a more professional athlete in all my life and I've looked after a lot of good athletes.
01:00You know, he's special and if you looked at his profiles, his power profiles, they don't stand out at all
01:07but he finds a way always to win, he's just got the strongest mental attitude that I've ever seen on
01:13anyone, so very, very good. You're lucky Malaysia.
01:17You've not changed your decision after this win?
01:19No, the decision was made probably six or eight months ago, so when there was a lot of turmoil and
01:29I thought I didn't feel like I was valued anymore or certainly not in the same way, so I felt
01:37that some of the bosses could have stepped in and sorted things out, but it is what it is, so
01:43I accept that.
01:45And, you know, when you've been there 21 years, I guess you become part of the furniture and, you know,
01:51that's the way it is, but, yeah, I got no regrets, you know, it was, you know, I was deeply,
01:56yeah, hurt for a while, but at the end, you know, I'm a big boy, I can get over stuff
02:01like that and, you know, just, you put so much into it that, you know, it just consumes you and,
02:07and, yeah, yeah, it's just going to be, you know, nice to walk away from leading a program and, you
02:15know, do something where I'm not leading anymore, you know, like I'm getting older and, yeah, supporting role would probably
02:21suit me down to the ground.
02:23John, I heard you will join Japan team.
02:26Yeah, yeah, I was weighing up things for a long time, but, yeah, you're right, you're spot on, so I
02:32think for me, the head coach from Japan is an athlete that I used to coach and he won a
02:39world junior championship under me and, you know, like to lead into LA, a lot of special things in LA.
02:45My dad was the mechanic for the Australian team, Olympic team in LA where Australia won their first Olympic gold
02:51medal, so it'd be nice just to probably end my career, you know, like at the Games and, you know,
02:59hopefully I'm there to celebrate as he's always win, you know, there'd be no one prouder than myself, even though
03:05I've got a different shirt, you know, it's, he's my son and, you know, he's always, he's always going to
03:11be my son, you know, sort of, so, you know, he's just got a special
03:15place that, you know, like, yeah, only family can, you know, only family know.
03:22Kejuanan dunia di Shanghai bulan ini akan jadi tukasan terakhir, Beasley bersama Squad Kebangsaan.
