One private startup has raised $60 million to research technology that could reflect a small fraction of sunlight away from Earth. The science is real. Full-scale deployment is not happening. And the global rules are nowhere near ready.
This Across_Timme investigation explains solar radiation modification, the lesson of Mount Pinatubo, the risks of regional rainfall changes and “termination shock,” and the uncomfortable question underneath it all: who gets a vote when the atmosphere has no borders?
Important context: Stardust Solutions describes its work as research and development, not deployment, and says it will not conduct outdoor tests before suitable regulation exists. This video does not claim a secret weather-control programme is operating.
