00:04His past drug use, his ex-fiancée Ariana Grande, and more shockers.
00:08The SNL alum said he's sober now, except for about, quote, four beers a year.
00:13That's nothing compared to his past substance use.
00:16At the height of his addiction, the comedian revealed he was doing multiple drugs and, quote, cooking ketamine.
00:22He told the outlet,
00:23It was K. I was getting liquid and cooking it, and I would do acid and shrooms and whippets and
00:29smoke weed all day and eat pills every day.
00:32It got scary because I didn't feel high. I felt high when I wasn't doing it. So I was like,
00:37this is a huge problem.
00:39Davidson said he hit rock bottom the summer of 2023 after the release of his autobiographical series, Bupkiss.
00:45Despite the Peacock show getting renewed for a second season, he walked away from it and checked himself into rehab.
00:51A FaceTime call from his concerned mom, Amy, is what finally convinced him to get help.
00:56He said, quote,
00:57Playing yourself and constantly living in your own crap was a traumatic experience for him,
01:02and that he had to revisit some of the darkest moments of his life, and so he turned to drugs
01:06to numb the pain.
01:07He added that he doesn't, quote, f*** with drugs anymore.
01:10It's been two or three years since he's used, quote, really hard stuff, and a year since he stopped cannabis,
01:16which he said was the hardest to quit. But becoming a father helped him kick the habit.
01:20In December 2025, Davidson welcomed his daughter, Scotty, with his ex-girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt.
01:26They started dating in March 2025, then split in May 2026.
01:30However, Davidson's most famous ex is Ariana Grande.
01:33They had a whirlwind romance in 2018.
01:36In the Variety piece, he defended the pop star against recent body scrutiny.
01:40Davidson fired back at the online chatter, saying,
01:43It's not cool. She's a really strong person. I've witnessed it, and I don't understand it.
01:48She knows how to handle this stuff, though. She's been around. She'll be okay, but I think it's f***ed up.
01:54In August, Grande's rep announced she would be taking a step back from visibility after her Eternal Sunshine tour,
01:59due to endless ongoing concern about her weight.

02:14So I just wanted to speak to my fans directly tonight, because I love you so much.

02:38Um, so basically, the announcement that was made yesterday is not a reactive or impulsive thing.
02:46It is something that I had decided. It's a plan that I had quietly made a long time ago,
02:52and it's a decision that was made from a thoughtful and empowered place.
02:56And I want you to know that many, many things can be true at the same time.
03:01Um, I want to share this because I heard that my fans...
03:05Wait, hold on.
03:07I heard, I heard that my fans were worried that negativity was ruining things for me.
03:13But I just have to say, that could not be more the f***ing opposite.
03:19And, um, I don't assume this is not what that is.
03:25And I just want to be very, very clear.
03:27Nothing has to be ruined.
03:29Multiple things can be true at the same time.
03:31Boundaries, bound, yeah.
03:32Boundaries can need to be set.
03:38Human beings can need a break sometimes.
03:42After many years, it can be a break, you know.
03:46And also, this can be, and will continue to be, the greatest experience of my professional and creative life.
03:55And actually, when I'm here, is getting in the way of that, or will get in the way of that.
04:01So I just wanted to make that quite plain.
04:09And I have no more thing to say.
04:11I have one more thing to say.
04:16No matter what noises exist out there, nothing will ever be able to distort my reality,
04:23or be more real to me, or louder to me, than this love that we share, or respect, or hate.
04:32Or than how it feels to make art with the people that I love and respect.
04:36Absolutely nothing will change that or distort that for me.
04:38And I want you to know that and do that for me.
04:41Because, if I get out of here, yeah, I love you.
04:45And this is what I will always take with me and carry with me.
04:51Because, the rest of that sh** is not mine to carry, so I don't care.
04:55And I want you to know that I can't.
04:59I needed to get out here and differentiate that from my truth for you all.
05:04Because, I love you, and this tour has been the most healing, beautiful, corrective, magnificent, special experience of my life.
05:11And so has, and so has putting out Pedal.
05:16It's been extraordinary.
