00:00We're actually here at Apple Park about to unbox AirPods 5. That's right, this is the upgrade to the
00:06last version of the standard AirPods, but they've got some really big new features. All right,
00:10we're going to start, we're going to actually start the unboxing here. So first of all, this
00:14is the 149 version, and what that means is that you get wireless charging case and you get volume
00:20gesture control on the stems. Those are the sort of two big upgrades that you pay a little bit
00:23extra for. The 129 model, both of them have ANC, but it doesn't have the wireless charging
00:30and it doesn't have the gesture control on the stem. Look, now this is a redesign since,
00:34you know, two or three versions ago. They are going to look different if you haven't bought
00:38a new pair of AirPods in quite a while. So the other thing to note about this is these are
00:43open
00:43ear AirPods, right? And that means that normally you wouldn't have ANC, but Apple's figured out
00:49the technology. They've got the chips and technology. So now you can put this in your ear and you get
00:52actually pretty effective noise cancellation. You also can have sort of the active, sort of the
00:58transparency mode if you need to hear what's going on. You've got better battery life than ever.
01:02Now on the back, it says AirPods in case you didn't know what you had. You know, it's been a

01:06while since I have, I've actually worn open ears and the active voice cancellation is on now. I can
01:13barely hear my own voice. So we're in the middle of Apple Park and there's all this activity going on
01:17around me and I can just barely hear the rumble of the cars, but it's much quieter. And if I
01:22hold this, then it opens up, I've got transparency mode. And if I were playing music right here on
01:27the stem, I would just gesture up or gesture down to raise and lower the volume. And as I said,
01:33the case wireless charging. So $149 for this version of AirPods 5. And if you want to pay $129,
01:39you just lose those two features, but you still get ANC. So if you've been waiting, you're holding
01:43off on getting AirPods, now might be the time to throw in, get AirPods 5, and start having some
01:50cool listening experiences.
