Some natural events arrive so gradually that the change only registers once the light is already different.
From a deck in Astorga, León, the camera points up at the sun as the moon’s edge begins to cross in front of it. The bright circle slowly becomes a partial crescent, and the surrounding sky appears to dim as the sun is increasingly obscured.
"Every year, our whole family meets in Spain for two to three weeks to relax and spend time together. We were lucky enough to set up our chairs on the deck and experience this once-in-a-lifetime moment together. We had no idea just how spectacular it would be until it happened. It was something none of us will ever forget," the filmer, Benjamin, told WooGlobe.
The steady progression turns a familiar daytime view into something briefly unfamiliar, marked by a visible shift in light rather than any sudden motion.
