一位道士利用法器抹去了那些素有积怨的村民的记忆。村民们瞬间放下了彼此的隔阂,却也因此对即将降临的危险浑然不觉。
The story of *The Village of No Return* unfolds in an idyllic, secluded village. Legend has it that the village’s feng shui bears the auspicious signs of an imperial destiny; Squire Shi (played by Eric Tsang) covets the village's "dragon vein" and conspires with bandits to massacre the inhabitants. The village's tranquility is shattered when a villager named Zhu Dabing dies from accidental poisoning, leaving his wife, Qiu Rong (played by Shu Qi), as the prime suspect. Just then, a Taoist priest named Tian Gui (played by Wang Qianyuan)—known as "Master Tianhong"—passes through, carrying a mysterious artifact called "Wangyou" (Forget-Sorrow). It is said that "Wangyou" can erase memories and manipulate personalities, transforming the once-peaceful settlement into a village of amnesiacs. Filled with absurd humor and unfolding conspiracies, the story reveals a bloody, treacherous undercurrent lurking beneath the idyllic surface of this paradise.
