00:00A panicked 911 call reveals what happened moments after a University of Georgia student plummeted out of an eighth-floor
00:06window.
00:07I don't think she's moving. Or I know she's not moving.
00:0921-year-old college senior Kristen Sargent miraculously survived the accidental fall.
00:15Her friends told the 911 dispatcher that they had been drinking but not to excess.
00:19Police say the marketing major had been dancing on the couch at her apartment around 7.30 p.m.
00:23when she somehow lost her footing and fell through the screen.
00:26Sargent was discovered on the ground of the pool deck.
00:28The responding officer said she appeared to have struck a metal bench as she fell, the cushion possibly breaking her
00:34fall.
00:34A fifth-floor neighbor who witnessed the incident also phoned 911 saying he heard a loud noise and, quote,
00:40it doesn't look good.
00:41The girl's father, Richard Sargent, confirmed that his daughter was alive, but in his words, pretty badly beaten up.
00:47Quote, she's a good fighter and so she's going to be okay.
00:51Windows at the apartment complex are supposed to have limiters on them that prevent them from being fully opened.
00:56It's unclear whether that had been on the window or possibly damaged.
01:00Building reps told the Post, quote,
01:02they're continuing to gather information and review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
