00:00Aujourd'hui, c'est le premier défi de G1 Climax A-Block.
00:07C'est le premier défi de 30 minutes.
00:31C'est le premier défi de G1 Climax A-Block.
00:511 hour 54 minutes and 50 seconds
00:56He's wrestled in the 3 longest block matches so far
01:00What is it with these LIJ guys
01:03And long matches
01:08A draw here would be
01:11I'm sure 30 minutes of amazing action
01:14But it would be quite injurious to Okada's hopes
01:24And for Shingo he's not done yet
01:30Wins over Ospreay and Ibushi
01:36Will certainly throw him in the positive situation in the tiebreakers
01:40If he can get even with the block leaders
01:43But he can't afford one more defeat
02:05And by the way in spite of some rotten weather courtesy of a
02:11Typhoon-like system moving across Japan
02:16The events
02:17Here in Osaka and Nagoya
02:20Every available ticket sold
02:24So hats off to the fans who break the rain to be here
02:27And the reason why
02:29They stood outside and the rotten weather was to see this
02:33The main event
02:37With stormy skies outside though Rocky
02:40The question is
02:41Will we see a rainmaker for the first time in this tournament
02:45Okada has won every other way
02:47But
02:48His signature patented finishing move
02:53And it's all by choice Kevin
02:56It's not that it wasn't available
02:58But for him to try to go for it
03:01It's been all by choice
03:04He's forced the money clip
03:07But it's worked
03:09Somewhat well for him
03:10I can't say that it's worked
03:11As perfect as the rainmaker would have
03:14But he's found ways to win
03:16And the challenge continues
03:19For the rainmaker
03:27And again we judge Okada on a different level
03:31Right
03:32It's a guarantee
03:34He's going to be double digits
03:35It's a guarantee
03:36He's going to be in the mix for the finals
03:40And it's like
03:42The bar is raised so high for Okada
03:45That
03:47It's almost like
03:49Unattainable
03:50To be
03:52At that level
03:53Every single match
03:55Every single night
03:56When the goal
03:57Of the G1 Climax Tournament
03:59Is to simply compile points
04:03You know
04:04It's so like Okada
04:06To do something like this
04:08You know
04:09To consistently
04:11Try to challenge himself
04:12Especially when he's not
04:14IWGP Heavyweight Champion
04:16Right
04:16When he does not hold that
04:17We saw it
04:18A couple of years ago
04:20In the G1
04:21Where he started bringing balloons
04:22Out to the ring
04:23We started playing
04:24And just
04:25Started to really
04:26Open up
04:27And have
04:27Fun
04:28And just be
04:30Different
04:30And we've seen that again
04:32This year
04:33Right
04:33Much to
04:35The dismay
04:36Of many fans
04:37Worldwide
04:37Who want to see
04:38The rainmaker
04:39Go and hit
04:41And try
04:42To finish his opponent
04:43With
04:43You know
04:44One of their favorite
04:45Moves of all time
04:46He challenges himself
04:48In his own way
04:49And forces this money clip
04:51Forces the
04:53The cradle situations
04:54That he's found
04:56In his winning
04:59Matches
04:59And
05:00I don't know
05:01It's just
05:02I think it's interesting
05:02I find
05:03The rainmaker fascinating
05:05The Okada story
05:06Is just so fascinating
05:08I mean here's a guy
05:09When he went to
05:10Long tights
05:11Rocky
05:11You'd have thought
05:12The world fell off
05:13Of its axis
05:14He broke the internet
05:15And then when he
05:16Went back to shorts
05:17It was like
05:19There was celebration
05:19All over the world
05:21Right
05:24But he keeps
05:25People talking about him
05:26He keeps himself
05:27Relevant
05:27And also
05:29He keeps himself
05:30Challenged
05:30You know
05:31It's hard to be
05:32When you're this good
05:33Kevin
05:33And you're this dominant
05:35The greatest
05:36IWGP
05:37Heavyweight champion
05:37Of all time
05:38I mean
05:38How do you do it
05:40How do you stay
05:41At that consistent level
05:42One of the things
05:43That we talk about
05:44With Tanahashi
05:45Side headlock takeover
05:47Head scissors
05:47In the escape
05:48And we will be talking
05:50About this match folks
05:52But
05:52We talk about
05:53Tanahashi
05:54Almost having to
05:54Manufacture a chip
05:55On his shoulder
05:56Sometimes
05:56Creating invisible enemies
05:58Oh I hear what
05:58They're saying
05:59Well nobody
06:00Might be saying it
06:01It's just
06:02Tanahashi
06:02Is having to
06:03Create
06:04That mountain
06:05That he has to
06:05Overcome
06:06And for Okada
06:07He sets himself up
06:09As like
06:10Okay everybody knows
06:11I can win matches
06:12With the Rainmaker
06:13I've been doing it
06:14For so long
06:14I'm gonna come up
06:15With a whole brand new
06:17Finishing move
06:18And everybody's like
06:20What's wrong with Okada
06:21Well nothing
06:22From my math
06:23He's at eight points
06:24Right
06:24And he's
06:25He's gonna
06:26If he wins here
06:27He ties
06:27Ties for the block lead
06:32Alright so Shingo asking
06:34Red Shoes
06:35And reminding everybody
06:36Reminding Okada
06:37Clean break
06:41Okada gives him
06:42Something to think about
06:43A lot to think about
06:45When wrestling
06:45Okada as of late
06:47Winning his last two
06:48By
06:48Cradling his opponent
06:51Okada
06:53Shingo with the power
06:54The barrel chested
06:55Shingo Takagi
06:56Puts him down
06:58The drop down
06:59Oh wait
07:00Quick for the drop kick
07:00Go land on his feet
07:01Gets put down
07:02With the tackle
07:07And these two
07:08Have a very
07:09Interesting
07:11Similar
07:14Almost
07:14Up
07:15Up
07:15Upbringing
07:16Right
07:16You know
07:17The same
07:17Similar lineage
07:18The Ultimo
07:19Dragon lineage
07:21Is very apparent
07:22Between these two
07:24Okada being trained
07:25At the Torimon Dojo
07:27With Ultimo Dragon
07:29And Ultimo Dragon
07:29Starting Dragon Gate
07:31Where Shingo started
07:35And that lineage
07:37Of that
07:37That Lucha Libre
07:38Mixed with
07:39You know
07:41Japanese professional wrestling
07:45Kind of their start
07:47But obviously
07:49They went
07:49And took their own
07:50Different paths
07:52But here we are
07:53Certainly did
07:54They both meet here
07:55In New Japan
07:55Professional Wrestling
07:57I love it
08:00And Shingo is
08:01Buying himself
08:02Some time
08:02Out here
08:03On the floor
08:03Trying to slow down
08:05The momentum
08:05That Okada
08:06Was starting to build
08:07Not necessarily
08:08Looking for anything
08:09On the outside
08:10And Okada
08:11Immediately closes in
08:12And capitalizes
08:17Neckbreaker
08:21And I think
08:22We can both agree
08:23Rocky
08:23That Okada
08:24Holds himself
08:24To a standard
08:25That none of us
08:27Could imagine
08:28If he's hearing
08:29Criticism
08:30His critiques
08:31Of himself
08:31Are probably
08:33That much more
08:34Right?
08:34I think that
08:35That's the type
08:36Of person Okada
08:37Is like
08:37Yeah he hears
08:38What people are saying
08:39But I feel like
08:40Okada
08:41Is so smart
08:43In that he
08:44Is always fighting
08:45Himself
08:45You know
08:46That's the number
08:47One opponent
08:48Really
08:48In Okada's mind
08:49And I think
08:50That that's how
08:50He's able to
08:51Stay at that
08:52Just that
08:54Elite level
08:55That you know
08:56Is just higher
08:57Than everyone else
08:59And for Shingo Takagi
09:01Obviously the goal
09:02Is to get two points
09:03But again
09:04A win here
09:05Against Okada
09:07Would give him
09:08Victories
09:09Over Ibushi
09:10And Okada
09:11Those two
09:11Who met
09:12The main event
09:13Of last year's
09:14First night
09:14Of Wrestle Kingdom
09:15For the IWGP
09:16Heavyweight Championship
09:18And that's where
09:19Shingo sees himself
09:20But right now
09:21It's Okada
09:22In control
09:22As he body slams
09:24Shingo
09:24And will slingshot
09:25Sentando
09:26Shingo
09:26Out to the floor
09:27And here comes
09:27Okada Rocky
09:28Uh oh
09:29Okada with the surprise
09:30But gets caught
09:31And the DDT
09:34From Shingo
09:36Yeah and even
09:37To elaborate
09:38More off of that
09:39Is Shingo
09:40Owns a win
09:41Over Will Ospreay
09:42As well
09:42Right?
09:43Correct
09:44So that kind of
09:45Throws
09:45Things into
09:47Even more
09:48Into just craziness
09:50In this A block
09:52If Shingo
09:53Could pull off
09:54The win here tonight
09:55Against Kazuchika Okada
09:56A Shingo win
09:58Really helps
09:58Jay White
09:59Because Jay
10:01Beat Shingo
10:03But Shingo
10:04Beat Ospreay
10:05And Ibushi
10:11And a nasty move here
10:13That's going to cause
10:14Okada a great deal
10:15Of pain
10:16Shingo pressing
10:17The advantage
10:18On the floor
10:19And driving
10:21Okada back first
10:22In the edge of the ring
10:24Now going to run
10:25On him into the barricade
10:28So just about using
10:29Everything available
10:30From the floor
10:31To the edge of the ring
10:32To the ring post
10:33And now the barricade
10:34Shingo following up
10:36From that DDT
10:38And really putting it
10:40On the Rainmaker here
10:41And how confident
10:42Is Shingo right now
10:44With that big win
10:45Over Ibushi
10:47He's got to be
10:48Feeling right
10:52And we talked
10:53All tournament long
10:55Oh man
10:57About all the three
10:58You know at the top
11:00And the three men
11:02Being Okada
11:03Switchblade
11:03And Ibushi
11:04And Shingo left out
11:05Of that conversation
11:06Not for any disrespect
11:09Or any slight
11:09But just
11:10Again those are
11:11The headline grabbers
11:12Shingo wants to
11:13Put himself in that mix
11:14Yep
11:16You really think about it
11:18The two guys
11:19Who were junior heavyweights
11:20Last year
11:20Competing in their
11:21First G1s
11:22And Osprey and Shingo
11:23Have really done
11:24A great job
11:25This year
11:28Yeah Shingo had a
11:30Again a mixed bag
11:31Of results
11:32With the end
11:33Being stronger
11:34Than the start
11:35For his first
11:36G1 campaign
11:37A year ago
11:39Finishing strongly
11:40Down the stretch
11:41And Okada of course
11:43Who set the pace
11:44And was in control
11:45Of everything
11:46Until he got to
11:47Osaka
11:48And dropped that
11:50Decision to
11:51Sanada
11:52As Okada
11:53In the
11:55Body scissors
11:56Is able to get
11:57To the ropes
11:58The offensive attack
11:59From Shingo here
12:00He seems to be
12:01Going from
12:03Top down
12:04The entire
12:05From the waistband
12:06North
12:07Rocky
12:08In an effort
12:08To do what
12:11Probably just
12:12Slow
12:13Of everything
12:13Yeah slow down
12:15Okada as much
12:16As you can
12:16I mean I think
12:17Always attacking
12:18The body is a great
12:19A great thing
12:21Because you know
12:22It'll pay dividends
12:23In the long run
12:23Especially if this
12:24Does go
12:25You know
12:26The distance
12:27And does get past
12:28That 20 minute mark
12:29Which it easily could
12:31Two
12:33I feel like
12:34That's going to be
12:35A great thing
12:36That pays dividends
12:37In the end
12:37To really slow down
12:38Okada
12:39When it really matters
12:41Okada talked after
12:42His last win
12:43About the fact
12:45That he didn't have
12:46To have tape
12:47On his back
12:47Anymore
12:49He didn't say
12:50That his back
12:50Felt better
12:52He didn't say
12:53He was healed
12:54He just said
12:54You notice
12:55I didn't have
12:56Any tape
12:57On my back
12:57Anymore
13:01But Shingo
13:02Targeting the back
13:03Amongst others
13:05And now
13:07Got a ring
13:08And some forearms
13:10Two handed
13:10Chopping the chest
13:18Going back
13:19To that midsection
13:22And the flapjack
13:23Puts Shingo down
13:30I mean
13:31Shingo studied the tape
13:33Skevin
13:33Everyone
13:33We all know it
13:34You know
13:35We saw
13:35Okada
13:36Go 60 minutes
13:38Plus
13:39Against Kenny Omega
13:40We know that
13:41He's got a gas tank
13:42On him
13:42I think it's
13:44Extremely important
13:45For his opponents
13:46To know that
13:47And really try
13:49To attack the body
13:51I mean
13:51That's what I would do
13:52Yeah
13:53That's kind of
13:53What I was
13:54Just thinking
13:55Oh underneath the elbow
13:56And the elbow
13:57Knocked down
13:57From Okada
14:01Perhaps in an effort
14:02Of trying to
14:03Take Okada's
14:05Ability to get breath
14:06In the waiting
14:07Moments of the match
14:08As it gets past
14:09What we anticipate
14:10To be north
14:11Of 20
14:1225 minutes
14:14Even
14:14DDT
14:16But Okada
14:17Looks good now
14:18Too
14:19And Shingo
14:19Kicks out
14:32And Okada's
14:33Not a tape guy
14:34He's a guy
14:34Who would go fishing
14:35Before a big match
14:36That's so true
14:37But I'm sure
14:41He knows
14:41Everything he needs
14:42To know
14:42About Shingo Takagi
14:49Wait a minute
14:50Wait a minute
14:50Noshigami
14:51Oh
14:52Oh
14:52Oh
14:53Oh
14:53Oh
14:54And Okada's
14:54Got to be
14:54Real careful
14:55Throwing that uppercut
14:58He could get
14:59Caught in that
15:00Noshigami
15:00At any second
15:04Shingo steps in
15:05Cracks him
15:07Pumping bomber
15:08No
15:08Up on the shoulders
15:10Up on the shoulders
15:11Wait wait wait
15:16Pop up
15:17Catch
15:18Dead
15:19Valley driver
15:20Wow
15:22Boy Okada
15:23Was trying to wriggle
15:24Out the back door
15:25And Shingo
15:25Wouldn't let him go
15:26Nope
15:27Two
15:28And a kick out
15:29Knock that elbow
15:30And the chest cover
15:31From before
15:32Shingo clutches
15:33His neck
15:34As he had Okada
15:35In the pinning predicament
15:38But a near fall
15:46Hip attacks
15:47To the head
15:52Throwing those
15:53Short
15:54Tenryu
15:54Light
15:55Kicks
15:56Just to
15:57Uh oh
15:58Wait a second
15:59Oh
16:01Catches him
16:02With the neck breaker
16:03What a beautiful
16:04Counter
16:05And transition
16:07By the
16:08Rainmaker
16:14So as we speculated
16:16Okada having to beware
16:18Of Shingo's
16:19Noshigami
16:19Because that sets up
16:21Everything for Shingo
16:23Okada had the escape
16:25In mind
16:26And he has
16:28Delivered some shots
16:29To the neck
16:29Of Shingo
16:32So if the rainmaker
16:34Is there
16:34I'm sure he'll take it
16:36But if the money clip
16:37Is there
16:40We shall see
16:41How this strategy
16:43Pays off
16:56Short combo there
16:57Sends him off
16:59Into the corner
17:01Went for it again
17:02No this time
17:03Okada with the answer
17:05Dropkick
17:13Okada landing the first dropkick of the evening
17:19Big time offense from Okada
17:24First time singles meeting between Kazuchika Okada and Shingo Takagi here in our main event
17:29G1 Climax 30
17:31Night 13
17:34From Osaka
17:37There will be just two matches left for everyone in the A block
17:45Okada looking for that tombstone on the outside
17:49And now wait wait wait this time it's Shingo who is introduced to the railing
17:56And now Okada
17:58And now Okada
17:58Oh oh look at this Rocky
18:00Oh
18:00Draping DDT from off the apron on the floor
18:13Okada has used a draping DDT from the barricade to the floor but this time Shingo's legs were on the
18:23edge of the canvas
18:24Yeah we've seen even seen him go against that and start using just the straight DDT on the floor of
18:30this tournament
18:33It just seems like everything that Okada does now he wants to do things differently
18:40But you can't argue with the results
18:42Nope
18:47Be mindful of the count
18:50And Okada will wheel Shingo underneath the bottom rope
18:55That breaks the count
18:56Okada wants to beat Shingo in the ring
19:00So there can be no question
19:04Now the tombstone but wait Shingo
19:14Double axe handle in the back
19:16Watch the straight right
19:17On the money
19:19And the larian puts him down
19:27That may have been the fastest 5 minutes of my life between the 10 minute call and the 15 minute
19:32call
19:33I am on the edge of my seat here as we call this main event
19:40Great matchup so far
19:41I'd say pretty much about even at this point
19:44Yeah I agree
19:45Here's Noshigami
19:46This time Okada gets out again and now the standing version of the money clip
19:53Yeah that's a tough one actually Noshigami now that you see Okada's big frame
19:59Oh but just as we start to
20:01We start to ride it off
20:04Shingo is able to put it on Okada
20:19Here's the power of Shingo
20:22Wheelbarrow German suplex
20:24My goodness
20:25Tossed him
20:26Two
20:28And the rope break is the escape for Okada
20:32Great awareness
20:43Shingo checking the soundness of his neck
20:46Before he continues offensively against Okada
20:54Shingo
20:55Shingo
20:56Shingo
20:57Shingo
20:58Shingo
20:59Shingo
20:59Shingo
21:00Shingo
21:00Elbows
21:02Forearms
21:03Here we go sliding there
21:05And oh
21:06Drop kick
21:08He drop kicked him in the next week
21:13Now the tube stone
21:15Oh
21:16Spikes him
21:22And clamp it on the money clip
21:24He's got it nice and tight too
21:30See Okada grip to be right at the elbow
21:38Really got it clamped on
21:41The carotid arteries which
21:45Are the avenue which blood flows to the brain
21:48Are being compressed on both sides
21:52And Shingo having to get
21:54I was going to say Okada wisely I think letting go of it
21:59And letting
22:01Not forcing it over forcing it I think you know
22:05Didn't try to keep it on for too long just feeling it out at this point
22:10Seeing where Shingo is measuring it
22:15Now Okada going to the top
22:18Looking for that elbow drop but Shingo
22:20Almost diving into the corner
22:22Okada
22:22Oh
22:27And now Shingo joins Okada but
22:29Okada with some forearms
22:32Shingo doesn't go down
22:34Okada
22:37Dangerous spot to be in for bullpen
22:42And now Shingo
22:44Completely exposed
22:47But with the leverage to pull Okada over
22:52Superplex
22:54With force
23:02The legs hook
23:03Two
23:04And Okada kicks out
23:06Look at Okada clutching that lower back Kevin
23:09Yeah and Shingo clutching his neck
23:18Okada may not have that tape on
23:21But that lower back's got to be tender after that
23:26Yeah he's definitely favoring it
23:30As Shingo's in the plus position
23:32And will charge corner to corner
23:47Reversal
23:47Dropkick
23:48No this time Shingo hangs on
23:50Sliding Larry
23:50No Okada out of the way
23:57Okada
23:58Shotgun dropkick
23:59Shingo on his feet
24:01Sliding Larry
24:02Okada had a shocked look in his eyes
24:06Just before Shingo delivers
24:09Yeah Okada didn't get him as clean as he would have liked to
24:12On that shotgun dropkick
24:14And was surprised when Shingo was on his feet
24:23One hell of a main event
24:24Everything you would expect between Shingo Takagi
24:29And Kazuchika Okada as we're now 10 minutes left in the time limit
24:51Before Shingo could move again Okada slows him with the uppercut
24:57Another tombstone
25:06It's gonna be hard for Okada to out leverage Shingo in this position with that bulky back
25:11Brock
25:12Yep
25:13Absolutely
25:16He's gonna have to wait for the right moment to go for it
25:27Uppercut forearms are on point
25:34Now we're gonna try it again
25:36Wait a minute Shingo
25:38Slips out the back door
25:40Headbutt back of the neck
25:42Yeah almost the back of the year
25:55Right and left elbows landing clean
25:58On Okada's jaw
26:06Oh!
26:07Slides into that one Rocky
26:09Oh my goodness
26:11That sliding short elbow lands
26:17Right in that same spot
26:18Right behind the back of the ear Kevin
26:20Yeah last of the dragon
26:21No!
26:24Oh wait wait wait
26:24He's gonna do it again
26:25Uh oh he's got him
26:26He's got him
26:27He's got him
26:32Using Shingo's momentum spinning tombstone
26:39Okada almost
26:40Was a count away from winning his third in a row by cradling his opponent but now gonna go back
26:48to the money clip
26:50And Shingo
26:52Nice and tight
26:54Shingo's dead in the center of the ring
26:57Ahhhh!
27:05Shingo wisely trying to stand up to alleviate the pressure
27:09Ahhhh!
27:13The height edge for Okada
27:15Wait a minute
27:16Backslide no
27:17Pulls him in there
27:18Oh!
27:19Rainmaker
27:22Single arm Rainmaker
27:28Now gonna walk him around
27:32Okada's got that right arm loaded
27:36Okada's got that right arm loaded
27:37Shingo stops him
27:39Okada tries it again
27:40Shingo with a headbutt
27:41Straight right hand
27:43Okada!
27:44Swing and a miss
27:45Swing and a miss
27:47Wait a minute
27:47Shingo with a Rainmaker
27:49Oh ho ho ho ho ho
27:58And that could be the shot that changes everything Kevin
28:02And wouldn't it be ironic if Shingo beats Okada
28:06With the Rainmaker
28:08Oh my god
28:09Oh wow
28:11Shingo bloating
28:12Opening the door
28:13For a pumping bomber
28:15Here
28:16We
28:17Go
28:17No
28:20Yee
28:20Kada barely got that boot up
28:22But ate that pumping bomber
28:23And here comes one more
28:25No
28:26Spitting Rainmaker no
28:27Wait a minute
28:28Made in Japan
28:28Made in Japan
28:30Made in Japan
28:31Okada
28:32Down
28:33Two
28:34And he kicks out
28:37Holy cow
28:40What a matchup
28:44Shingo on the doorstep of victory though here
28:48In Osaka
28:54We could be a pumping bomber away
28:57From a Shingo victory
28:58Or Okada
28:59Pumping bomber
29:03Cover
29:04To
29:04And
29:06No
29:13Shingo pleading his case with red shoes
29:15But it was two
29:24What a mega win
29:26An opportunity for Shingo
29:30If he defeats Okada right here right now
29:33Five to go
29:38Wasting no time
29:40Last to the dragon
29:42Wasting no time
29:43Last to the dragon
29:45Wow
29:46Wow
29:47Wow
29:59He'll try it again
30:00He'll try it again
30:01Okada the shoulders
30:06Back to the money clip
30:08Oh
30:11Shingo arm drags out
30:13Shotgun drop kick
30:14He got all of that one
30:15But Shingo's on his feet
30:16Swing and a miss
30:17Pumping bomber
30:18Spitting Rainmaker
30:19Yes
30:27What does Okada do here though?
30:30Does he go to the money clip?
30:33Does he go to the rainmaker?
30:38He's got the grip on the hand
30:40Instead of the wrist
30:41That says to be money clip
30:43Yes
30:43Yep
30:45Clamps it in
30:52Uh oh
30:53Rocky I think Shingo's had
30:57You ok?
30:58Hakogi
31:00Yeah Okada's got the pressure on
31:03All the punishments
31:04Shingo's taken
31:05He's unable to get back up
31:09He's unable to do anything
31:10To indicate the pressure
31:12He's lapsing into unconsciousness
31:14He's getting desperate
31:15Pulling the referee
31:16Uh oh
31:16Shingo's getting up
31:18This is bad for Okada here
31:21Oh
31:22Cracks the back
31:23Reapplies the hold
31:29That's Latsy
31:31Can Shingo hang on?
31:34That's Latsy
31:40Can Shingo hang on?
31:49Oh
31:49Uh oh
31:50Shingo's doing a great job
31:51Staying alive here
31:53But now look at the angle
31:55That Okada's got this clamped on
32:00Oh I think he's starting to fade Kevin
32:07Tell the referee to stop it
32:09Yeah
32:09He's starting to fade
32:10He's done
32:15Okada chokes out Shingo
32:17With the money clip
32:18To win
32:20Holy hell what a match
32:22By the skin of his teeth Kevin
32:44Well Kevin remember when I said
32:57Don't speak too soon
32:59We got ourselves a 4 way tie at 10
33:03Yep
33:09And no one at eight
33:12No we got a neatly clean block
33:14With
33:154 at 10
33:185 at 6
33:211 at 0
33:24Shingo, to his credit
33:26did not submit
33:28did not tap out
33:32referee stopped the match
33:37Utrell's
33:38got to be mathematically eliminated
33:40at this point, right?
33:41Yeah, he has been
33:48And for Shingo
33:51in the hopes of winning the block
33:53this year, have taken
33:55a near fatal blow
34:02I sure as hell can't wait to see those two mix it up
34:05again
34:06I was just thinking, you know, first time meeting
34:09between the
34:10Dragon Gate product
34:12Shingo
34:12Torimon product
34:14Okada
34:14Their pads finally crossing here
34:16in New Japan
34:18blow these many years later
34:20and now I just can't wait for them
34:22to meet again
34:24That was a standout bout
34:27here in this
34:28G1
34:2930th edition
34:37I think the fans in Osaka
34:40were hoping for
34:41Shingo to pull the victory
34:42out over Okada
34:44but respectful applause
34:46for the Rainmaker
34:50A little bit
34:51the folks here
34:52in Osaka
34:53a fun
34:54farewell
35:13Gou-shou-me
35:17Gou-shou-me
35:17What'd he say, Rod?
35:18Fifth time
35:19fifth time
35:19fifth win
35:25Merci.
36:03eu l'impression.
36:04Merci d'avoir gagné l'équipe de G1.
36:38Je vous remercie de cette proposition.
36:42Allez, je vous remercie de la réaction.
36:49Allez, je vous remercie de la réaction.
36:53Allez, je vous remercie de la réaction.
36:54Merci.
37:05Four are tied
37:06With two to go
37:10Ibushi
37:10Osprey, Switchblade
37:12And the Rainmaker
37:13Rocky you gotta pick a winner
37:16Oh it's gonna be tight Kevin
37:18It really is
37:20I'm sticking with my man
37:21I'm sticking with my dude man
37:23Rainmaker all the way
37:24Cause when you're Rainmaker
37:26You're Rainmaker for life
37:29Ha ha
37:33Well it's gonna be fascinating
37:34Down the stretch
37:37And there are two big ones
37:39To go
37:39Tuesday night
37:42It'll be Okada
37:44And
37:48Ishi
37:51And then Osprey
37:53On the final night
37:56Certainly Switchblade Jay White
37:58Was hoping for a Shingo victory
38:01As that would have
38:03Really helped clear the field
38:06And put Jay White atop
38:08Even though
38:09A flat footed tie
38:11Points a tiebreaker
38:13But secondary
38:16Switchblade
38:17The only one to defeat Shingo
38:18But instead now
38:19It's Okada
38:21And it could very well come down
38:23To the result between him and Osprey
38:24But it is fun
38:26To sit here
38:28And call these matches
38:29And prognosticate
38:32Who will be standing
38:34At the end
38:35Who will be raising the trophy
38:38And Ria Goku
38:39Rocky and I will of course
38:41Have the action live
38:42The final three nights
38:4427分 45秒
38:45Okada Kabuchika選手の勝利です
38:54It's an even year
38:55Right
38:56Rainmaker's won two
38:57Okada's won two
38:58Always an even year
39:00So maybe here in 2020
39:02This is his year
39:07Alright so real quick
39:10Let's look ahead to tomorrow
39:11And I don't want to say tomorrow
39:13Is a one match show
39:14But tomorrow for me Rocky
39:15It's a one match show
39:18Tetsuya Naito vs Evil
39:19In the main event
39:20Everybody else
39:21Playin' for 2nd place
39:22Right now
39:23With those two
39:23Naito
39:24Oh wait
39:24Let's hear from Okada
39:27Well
39:30It's been a long time
39:31I think it's been a good win
39:34I think it's been a good win
39:37But it's been a good win
39:41I think it's been a good win
39:45I can think it's been a good win
39:48So my first fight will be here
39:52So you all know what it means?
39:55It's been a good win
39:57I think it's been a good win
40:01I hope this is a good win
40:04So I hope you get a good win
42:17100%.
42:17Ils sont une de la meilleure
42:20fan base
42:21dans le monde professionnel.
42:23Je veux être en Osaka,
42:24en Osaka, et boy,
42:26ils sont venus à la fin de la fin de l'event.
42:30Nous sommes en regardons
42:31à l'A-Bloc et, de l'aise,
42:32les standings avec
42:33four men tied à 10
42:35et tous les autres à 6
42:36except for Yujiro.
42:37Tomorrow, as I started to say,
42:40could very well decide the block.
42:41Tetsuya Naito vs. Evil
42:43in the main event.
42:45Tremendous history
42:46between these two
42:47written in 2020.
42:48It began, of course,
42:49at the culmination
42:50of the New Japan Cup
42:51the following night,
42:52Dominion, Jingu Stadium,
42:53and now tomorrow in Nagoya.
42:56And the double champion
42:57looking to make the finals
42:59where, again,
43:01history continues to be written
43:02every time Tetsuya Naito
43:03gets into the ring.
43:04but Evil is...
43:06Man, I don't know.
43:08I don't...
43:09I can't stand the presence
43:11of the spoiler.
43:11Dick Togo at ringside
43:12really annoyed me
43:13the other night
43:14with Tanahashi.
43:15And I think something's
43:16got to be done.
43:17If he's a force
43:18in this match,
43:19I think it's advantage Evil.
43:20Rocky, what do you think?
43:21No, absolutely.
43:22I would agree with you there, Kevin.
43:24I really was...
43:27It was unsettling
43:28with how he conducted himself
43:29in that match
43:31against Tanahashi.
43:31and it could be
43:32the difference,
43:33like you said,
43:34against Tetsuya Naito tomorrow.
43:37So we will find out
43:38what happens tomorrow.
43:39Of course,
43:39there are other great matches
43:40as well.
43:41The card from top to bottom
43:42is tremendous
43:43and it is the G1.
43:45Tomorrow, of course,
43:46we'll be adding
43:48English commentary
43:50for tomorrow's event
43:51and for the upcoming event
43:54the middle of the week.
43:55And then we'll be live,
43:56though, Rocky.
43:58Next weekend
43:59is going to be fantastic.
44:00The action will culminate
44:02for Maria Goku.
44:03Finals of the A Block,
44:04finals of the B Block,
44:05and then the final night
44:06on the 18th of October.
44:08The final final.
44:09So we'll see who is crowned
44:10the G1 Climax Tournament winner.
44:13Are you having fun?
44:14How's your voice?
44:15You feeling good?
44:17We're going to need you
44:18down the stretch, my man.
44:19Oh, I'm ready.
44:21I know you're ready.
44:21Might take a couple days off,
44:23though, but I'm ready.
44:24All right.
44:24I'll tell you what.
44:25I'll give you Monday off
44:26and then we'll be back at it.
44:28OK, wait, what?
44:30Monday we're off
44:31and then we're supposed
44:32to have Monday off.
44:33Well, I'll give it to you.
44:34It's I might take one more,
44:35you know, personal day,
44:37personal day on Monday.
44:38I need a personal day.
44:39All right, Rocky.
44:40So that's it.
44:41That's going to do it here
44:42from Osaka.
44:43We'll wrap things up right now
44:45and we'll be back
44:46with the call of tomorrow's action.
44:48Thank you so much
44:48for all your patience.
44:50The staff of New Japan World
44:51is doing an outstanding job
44:53of getting these events
44:54with English commentary
44:55up as quickly as possible
44:56and we'll continue to do so
44:58until we're live down the stretch.
44:59For Rocky Romero,
45:00I'm Kevin Kelly.
45:01We'll see you tomorrow
45:01from Nagoya.
