00:39And it was euphoria. They went from overtime, who knows what's going to happen, possibly talking
00:45about the Ravens blowing another lead in the second half to, hey, look at there. Tyler Loop got his
00:50stripes. Ravens get a win on the road. And Dallas, I guess, has the question why they keep falling
00:55short in games like that. Oh, my goodness gracious. What are you going to do at the center
01:00position? Well, it looks like Venga Iwani is going to be the guy for the immediate future.
01:05And we were talking about him on the show a couple of days ago, Vinny and myself, that maybe
01:10this could turn out to be a stroke, unplanned stroke of genius for Eric DaCosta. Because the
01:16planned long term for Iwani, he was going to be the left guard, replacing John Simpson. But
01:22he starts at right guard this year. Pinter goes down in the joint practice against Minnesota.
01:29Gwynn goes down with the ankle, carted off. And then your boy Posick, his knee gets blown out.
01:34Jesse Mitter said a couple of days ago that both are long-term injuries. So Venga, he had 17 snaps
01:41at Penn State at center. He took over and by all accounts played well. And it looks like he will
01:48be
01:48the guy. But I'm willing to guarantee you that Ravens are going to be bringing in some interior
01:53line help this week ahead of the Titans game. Bob, are you nervous at all, especially considering
02:00the coach you hired, that the defense doesn't look like a top defense? I know it's still so early in
02:06the season. But, you know, a big part of the formula has to be come playoff time that you're not
02:12either coughing up leads late or that, you know, you can look like the dynamic offense because your
02:21defense is, you know, putting you in great positions.
02:24Well, and also it's a concern, too, that Malachi Starks, their second-year safety, has been dreadful.
02:30They can't stop the run. Javante Williams hadn't done anything the first couple of weeks for the
02:35Cowboys. And he looked like Tony Dorsett running against the Ravens. And they can't get any pass rush
02:41rolling here. Hendrickson's been fine. He had a couple of quarterback hits Sunday against the
02:46Cowboys. But Mike Green, second-year linebacker, the anticipation was he was going to take a big
02:52jump in regards to sack totals. And he's been a non-factor so far. Travis Jones is off to kind
02:58of a slow start. Matt BK did return on a Sunday pass. And he looked and he got a roughing
03:05the passer.
03:05So he's a mid-season for him. But we expect him to get to the quarterback. But yeah, at all
03:10levels,
03:11the defenses outside of Kyle Hamilton, they're a little bit sketchy here so far.
03:17Who is the best team in the division and the worst team in the division?
03:21Oh, boy. I'm still going to roll with the Ravens being the best team when it's all said and done.
03:27The worst team, I'm going to go, oh, man. Pittsburgh? Because I kind of picked them last
03:36before we did our picks at the end of August. So I'll roll with them. I can't back out after
03:41three weeks. They look good at home.
03:45When you were hemming and hawing there, I thought you were just trying to not hurt our feelings.

04:10as they get ready to take on Jacksonville at 1 p.m. Was there some dirty pool going on?
04:16Mason McCormick grabbing the leg of Dexter Lawrence and some other ones and kind of getting a
04:22hold on them while they were trying to play defense against your Cincinnati Bengals trying
04:27to play defense against the Pittsburgh Steelers there, Mo?
04:31Yeah, there was some of that. But I mean, look, if you're a Bengals fan and what you're spending
04:37Monday and Tuesday on is that then you didn't watch the rest of the game because that was a
04:42microscopic issue compared to all the other things that plagued their performance on Sunday.
04:47It was a wretched performance by the defense. It was one that was eerily reminiscent of everything
04:53we watched from the Bengals defensively in 2024 and 2025. Dexter Lawrence played well. Nobody else did.
05:01Ooh. Ooh. Yeah, that was such a surprise the way that, you know, obviously the Bengals were,
05:10I thought, seemingly going to be in cruise control in this one. And I chalked this one up,
05:14wasn't really paying attention to the end. Was there any discussion about coaching anytime you
05:20lose a game that's that close or was it just all special teams? Well, it's so frustrating when you
05:28lose a game in large part because of special teams, because the game is then being decided by guys who
05:33are at the bottom of the roster. One of them got cut yesterday. The Bengals cut Keyshawn Williams,
05:38the return man who muffed the punt. Bengals had a roughing the punter penalty. So those two things
05:44led to 10 Pittsburgh points. That's frustrating. I don't know that I put necessarily either of
05:48those two things on coaching. I think if there's a sequence you want to go back and revisit, if you
05:53want to look at Zach Taylor, it's they get the ball down by three with 208 to go. Pittsburgh has
05:59just scored. Bengals have two timeouts and they have to burn one before they run a play. How on earth
06:06does that happen? Right? I remember in 2002, they got called for delay a game on the first play of
06:11the
06:11season and thinking, God, you had like nine months to figure out what play you were going to run.
06:16Well, you had at least like 10 minutes on Sunday to figure out what play you were going to run
06:20or
06:20what you were going to do or which person you're going to have on the field to start a drive
06:24that
06:24was going to decide the game. Zach Taylor took ownership for that. I think if you're looking at
06:28the role of coaching in the loss, you could look there. I thought, though, the game more than anything
06:35else, it was just bad execution by the Cincinnati defense. Pass rush, which had been really good the
06:40first two weeks right up against the no mobile quarterback. They missed a thousand tackles on
06:45Jalen Warren. They missed a thousand tackles on Darnell Washington. They let the Steelers in the first
06:50half of the game in particular do whatever they wanted to do on on offense. And they put themselves
06:55in a position where a close game is decided by the mistakes you make. Bengals made three critical ones
07:00in the second half, two on special teams. Then obviously the Joe Burrow fumble, which ended the game.
07:06Who's the best team in the division? Who is the worst team in the division?
07:10I think the best team in the division, the team that has played the best is still Baltimore.
07:17And I know, you know, they were teetering on the brink of, of, of maybe not beating the Cowboys in
07:22Rio, but I'll say Baltimore, the Browns are playing well, and it's going to be unsurprising if they beat
07:29Pittsburgh. I think the fact that the Steelers pulled themselves off the mat on Sunday against
07:33Cincinnati keeps me from saying the Steelers. I'll say the Browns right now, but I think it'll be

08:49half, is it giving people in Pittsburgh some hope that maybe Aaron Rodgers has found the fountain of
08:55you? I thought that was the best game he's played start to finish the one against the Bengals since
09:02he joined the Steelers. I don't think it was a coincidence that Mike McCarthy called some of the
09:06most inventive offensive plays I've seen the Steelers run in years and that their offensive line
09:12looked better than it has in a very long time with two new starters. I mean, I heard Mo Edgar
09:17on before
09:17me say the Bengals pass rush didn't do their job. Well, Maxi Honichor was like dropping the anchor and
09:23boy a mopping guys like that weren't going anywhere. And Jalen Warren is a little ball of butcher knives
09:28when you get them going. Like they looked like what they wanted to look like because I think they
09:32finally took the jobbers off the right side of the line and put in two real football players and
09:36they reap the benefits. So I was encouraged by what I saw and I'm a pretty cynical guy as you
09:41guys know
09:42when it comes to Rodgers and their offense, but they look like a real big boy NFL outfit for a
09:46game.
09:46So it was nice to see. Mason McCormick grabbing the under the leg of Dexter Lawrence getting
09:53leverage. What's your thoughts to the what's your answers to the accusations of dirty play of the
09:59Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line? I believe it was a noted NFL fan and analyst Jesse the body

11:17I know, but I think like people thought that that was Schwartz and Garrett and that all the other
11:21pieces were good and orbited around them. And now you've got Dom Capers and his great looking hair
11:26as a senior consultant on that side. And, you know, it just looked impressive on that side of the
11:32ball. I thought it was good. I think it's going to give the Steelers more problems than the Bengals
11:35did. Who's the best team in the division? Who is the worst team in the division?
11:41I think that the, oh boy, I go against the Bengals right away here after the Steelers actually beat
11:47them. I'm going to say right now, the Ravens are the best team in the division, because I still think
11:50they've been the most consistent team. I would say the Browns are the worst, but only because I don't
11:55buy that like Deshaun Watson can be a reason that they're winning games for the most part. Like if I
12:00thought, if I thought that they were getting better quarterback play, it'd be between them
12:03and the Steelers still for me is the worst. The Browns beat the Steelers if they do what?
12:12Forced at least two turnovers, I would say. They can turn the Steelers over and win that bat. If
12:17they can win the turnover battle by plus two, I think they're going to win that game. Now,
12:20most teams would win a game in that situation, but like the Steelers are feeling good about
12:24themselves. There's not as much scar tissue with this fan base about a Thursday night in Cleveland
12:29because McCarthy's 16 and six in Thursday night games, but they're one six and one in that
12:34stadium since 2018. So you get a little seed of doubt planted early. You get a touchdown,
12:40get an early lead. If you're the Browns, I think you win that game.
12:44Okay. All right. You guys, is that it for you, Tone? I was going to, I was going to ask
12:48how those
12:49two aging defensive stalwarts are doing between TJ Watt and Cam Hayward. How are they looking?
12:55Well, TJ, I mean, TJ Watt was a victim of two things against the Bengals. One, the Bengals do
13:00want to get the ball out quick with Burrow. It was basically two and a half and gone. So it's
13:03tough to get in. I think especially having his career, like the revert, the Benjamin Button
13:08career where he's better in his thirties is so impressive. Harmon made the play to win the game
13:13and that was really heartening to see, but Hayward still, every play you watch, just like look at him.
13:18He's always got that hilarious Jersey fit where he looks like he's got an old man t-shirt under his
13:22Jersey. Just look around. He'll be flying around, flying into piles, making plays. Like
13:27he's still as advertised, which is a hugely impressive thing to bear witness to.
13:31Final one. It's only year two. He's only three games in. Could Mason Graham be our Cam Hayward?
13:42He's a, he is an interesting player because he's what? Six, four, three, 15, right? Is that
13:48what he's listed at? This is going to sound, this is going to sound very weird.
13:52He doesn't look that big when you watch the tape of their games, but the guy was awesome
13:57against the Panthers. Like he wrecked that game, but it's weird. He looks like he's like
14:02six to two 95, but I know he's a bigger guy than that. I think he's very good. I think
14:07he's
14:08interesting. Uh, when matched up against like a burlier offensive line, I want to see how
14:12it looks. I thought he had his way with the Panthers. I think it's going to be an interesting
14:16test for the Steelers guards because they were really good against Cincinnati, but I think Graham
14:19was wrecking stuff, uh, especially late in that game. So I think it could be very good
14:24for you guys for a long time.
