00:01Brawny James is ready to build his own path now that LeBron has left the Lakers for Philadelphia.
00:07After making NBA history as the league's first father-son teammates,
00:11they're entering a new stage of their careers on different teams.
00:15During Lakers Media Day, Brawny explained that his focus is on continuing to improve
00:20and establishing himself as an individual player.
00:23You guys know me as Brawny, my real name is LeBron.
00:28I've been doing this for however long, so I think it's a motivating factor for me
00:34just getting up every day and trying to prove myself as Brawny instead of LeBron.
00:37Despite carrying his father's full name, LeBron James Jr. has gone by Brawny for most of his life
00:43as he works to create an identity of his own.
00:46Now entering his third NBA season, Brawny wants to show that his place with the Lakers
00:51is something he can earn for himself.
00:53Without his father beside him, his mission is to keep growing
00:57and prove he belongs in the league for more than his famous last name.
