00:06difficult work can go unnoticed. But this year the charity have put on a
00:13Western-themed night to highlight the achievements of their community. The event
00:19celebrated Women of the Year and included an award ceremony for their
00:24incredible work.
00:25Awareness is always great. Awareness is the beginning. Awareness is the
00:29beginning of change because with creating the awareness and the impact of
00:34how much the work can influence and support others out there and that there
00:41is somewhere where everyone can go to, can turn to and be at.
00:45And with the celebrations came of course plenty of music.
00:50I was invited to try some Chuckles Vacuum Dancing myself and as you can see
00:55it's very high energy and took me some time to get used to but it was still very fun.
01:02The winners of tonight's event are a helpline for women, not only helping them
01:07through domestic abuse but loneliness as well.
01:11It's actually been a really incredible surprise because none of us is doing this for the rewards,
01:20for the recognition. Literally we just do something from our heart for the community that we feel
01:26that is needed. So it was a really big surprise.
01:29Well I feel incredibly happy because I feel I am supporting every single woman in life and I am standing
01:38behind the women also and I feel like if you don't change it, choose it. So I feel really like
01:46thankful for all of them.
01:49Nearly £9,000 was raised through tonight's event which will go towards providing more support for women in need.
