00:11that want to hunt you down. That is the world Sunway Lagoon has created for Knights of Fright
00:1712. This year's edition, titled Apeocalypse, takes visitors into a dystopian horror world
00:25inspired by the chaos of Mad Max and the primate uprising of Planet of the Apes. Running from
00:34September 25th to November 7th, the event returns every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7.30
00:41pm to 11.30 pm. But the apocalypse is only the setting. The real danger lies inside the attractions.
00:51This year's theme is Apocalypse, so we draw inspiration from when the world comes to an
00:55end, you know, when humans don't do enough in terms of sustainability and to do what we need
01:01to do to save planet Earth, and that's where nature takes over. So when we first draw inspiration
01:07for this theme itself, it was super exciting because there were so many things that we
01:10can do. And one of the things that we wanted to do was to relate it back to our closest
01:16relatives
01:16in nature, which is our primates, which is our apes itself. So stay tuned, come in to Knights
01:23of Fright itself and you'll be able to go and see all our apes that are conquering our Sunway Lagoon.
01:30The horror does not stop with the apes. The lineup features a mix of new and returning attractions,
01:36combining international horror influences with Malaysian and Asian storytelling, including Japanese
01:42folklore, cult horror, twisted fairy tales, manga, K-pop culture, and Southeast Asian supernatural
01:49legends. Among the new attractions are Yokai Road, where visitors encounter supernatural creatures
01:55inspired by Japanese folklore, and the freezer, fresh meat, which takes them inside a chilling meat
02:01processing facility. I smell fresh meat right here! Little Shop of Horrors, Manga UV 3D combines
02:10manga-inspired aesthetics with ultraviolet effects and immersive 3D visuals, while the not-so-wonderful
02:16Wizard of Oz gives the familiar fairy tale a darker twist. Returning attractions include Return to
02:23Silent Hill, taking visitors back into the cursed streets of Silent Hill, and Scary Tales immersive theater,
02:29Pontianak vs. Pochong Origins, which brings Malaysian and Southeast Asian supernatural folklore to life
02:37through an immersive theatrical experience. Beyond the nine main attractions, three scare zones will see
02:44roaming characters getting up close with visitors, while eight Sunway Lagoon rides are transformed with horror-themed elements.
02:51And when the scares wind down, live entertainment takes over the main stage.
02:57The opening weekend will also bring interactive activities, from a mystery box challenge and
03:02complimentary tarot readings at the oracle table, to Knights of Fright trading cards. The first 50 guests to
03:09complete their collection can also stand a chance to receive a mystery gift, subject to terms and conditions.
03:16The night will also feature a live DJ set by DJ Reeve at the Sunway Lagoon main stage, from 11
03:23.15pm to 11.45pm.
03:27Tickets start at 138 Ringgit for admission with complimentary potato crisps, while 236 Ringgit gets
03:35visitors admission, an express pass and complimentary potato crisps. Tickets are available via the Sunway
