00:11and some of those fail too. And at T plus 2 minutes 39 an energetic event occurs. An explosion
00:20in which several engines fail at the same time. Analysts in the community have now pinpointed
00:27this quite precisely. Presumably a single central engine E5 or E6 suffered an energetic failure,
00:36taking down around 16 of its neighbors with it. That's the downside when you don't have a
00:42protective shield between the engines. One exploding engine can drag half the cluster down with it.
00:48The failure results in an odd configuration of just five engines firing at T plus 2 minutes 41
00:56instead of the planned 13. But even those five fail at T plus 2 minutes 49 and the booster
01:05falls back out of control.
