00:07So I'm from the local force, so I'm from Gloucestershire, Constabulary, just to make that clear.
00:12So at around 12.45am today, Sunday 27th September,
00:18police received a call relating to three suspicious vehicles travelling towards RAF Fairford.
00:24Armed officers responded and subsequently arrested five men in the Welford area
00:29on suspicion of committing offences under the Explosives Act.
00:33The men were taken into custody where they remain.
00:38A 400m cordon has been put in place around the vehicles while the Army's Explosive, Ordnance, Disposal Unit examined them.
00:46As a precaution, around 85 households have been advised to evacuate while these examinations take place.
00:54A nearby leisure centre has been opened for those who are unable to stay with family or friends.
01:00The emergency services have well-rehearsed plans for dealing with major incidents such as this.
