समाजवादी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव ने चुनाव आयोग की निष्पक्षता और कार्यप्रणाली पर तीखे सवाल खड़े करते हुए उसे पूरी तरह बेनकाब कर दिया है। उन्होंने हालिया अंदरूनी विवादों और मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स का हवाला देते हुए दावा किया कि चुनाव आयोग के भीतर हुए खुलासों से यह साफ हो गया है कि संस्था स्वतंत्र रूप से काम नहीं कर रही है। अखिलेश यादव ने उत्तर प्रदेश के पिछले विधानसभा चुनावों में पीडीए और सपा समर्थित वोटरों के नाम जानबूझकर काटने का गंभीर आरोप लगाया है। उनका कहना है कि इस तरह की धांधलियों और मिलीभगत के कारण देश में स्थापित होने वाली कई भाजपा सरकारें नैतिक और संवैधानिक रूप से अवैध हैं। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि निर्वाचन आयोग सत्ता में बैठे लोगों के हाथों की कठपुतली बनकर लोकतंत्र की धज्जियां उड़ा रहा है। सपा प्रमुख ने आगे कहा कि यदि संवैधानिक संस्थाएं इस प्रकार निष्पक्षता खो देंगी तो देश की लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था पर से जनता का विश्वास पूरी तरह उठ जाएगा। उन्होंने यह भी चेतावनी दी कि जनता आगामी चुनावों में इस तानाशाही और बेईमानी का करारा जवाब देने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार बैठी है।

Akhilesh Yadav accused the commission of deliberately facilitating vote theft and deleting the names of opposition and PDA supporters during the Uttar Pradesh elections. He boldly stated that due to such manipulated electoral processes and institutional complicity, many of the Bharatiya Janata Party governments formed across the country are essentially illegal. The SP chief emphasized that playing with democratic norms to keep a particular party in power amounts to a grave constitutional crime. He warned that when independent watchdogs act like puppets of the ruling regime, it poses a severe and fatal threat to the foundational values of Indian democracy.
