00:17As he descended down the Champs-Elysées to reach the Place de la Concorde,
00:21the excited crowd could be heard chanting Leo, Leo.
00:25Many had been in place for hours to secure a good spot
00:28and metro stations in the area were shut down as part of the tight security apparatus
00:35which was deployed to ensure optimal security.
00:39French President Emmanuel Macron did not attend the Mass
00:41and he will not attend any of the Pope's Masses over the course of his France trip.
00:47But the President's wife, Brigitte Macron, did attend Saturday's Mass
00:51along with French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
00:54Next on his list, the Pope will travel to Lourdes, which is one of the world's most renowned Catholic pilgrimage

01:01where he will also meet with survivors of sexual abuse within the Church.
01:05On Monday he will be in Mez, in north-eastern France, where EU leaders will be present
01:11and he will deliver a speech focusing on the importance of European peace.
01:15So things may be over for now in Paris, but much remains to come across the rest of the country.
