00:00If your face looks like it's protruding forward, if your lips always look swollen or stick out,
00:05if your side profile looks completely unbalanced, most guys think it's just cheek fat or the size
00:10of their lips. They're wrong. In medical science, this is called biomaxillary protrusion. When your
00:15upper and lower jaw, your maxilla and mandible shift forward, your entire facial structure gets
00:21messed up, your whole face looks longer, your profile looks weak, nothing balances. But here's
00:26the good news. This isn't permanent. You can fix your forward facial pressure and muscle tension
00:31using three specific biomechanical fixes, and most people have no idea these fixes exist.
00:36Problem number one, incorrect swallowing pattern and maxilla thrust. So how does this condition
00:41actually happen? This is the biggest hidden factor that causes myomaxillary protrusion.
00:45Whenever you swallow, whether it's saliva, water, or food, your tongue does something most people
00:50never realize. Instead of pressing flat against the roof of your mouth, it pushes forward against
00:55your front teeth. You swallow roughly 2,000 times every single day. You're applying forward force
01:00on your teeth and maxillary bones every day for months and years. That's why your upper and lower
01:05jaw shifts forward. You're literally creating the problem without even knowing it. The fix.
01:09You need to correct your swallowing mechanics. Here's exactly what to do. Whenever you swallow
01:14something, press your entire tongue flat against the roof of your mouth. Keep it there. While you're
01:18swallowing, don't let your teeth come under any pressure. Your lips stay closed. That's it.
01:22Practice this proper swallowing and tongue position every single day. One important thing,
01:27breathing matters too. And if your nose feels blocked, especially at night, and you may find
01:31yourself breathing through your mouth instead, a simple option is a nasal strip. I've been looking
01:35at these breezy nasal strips, which are designed to physically lift and open the nasal passages to
01:40help improve airflow without medication. They're really simple to use. You just apply the strip across
01:45your nose before sleep or whenever you want some extra breathing comfort. If you want to check them out,
01:50I'll leave the Amazon link in the description and pinned comment.
01:53Problem number two, lips incompetence and orbicularis oris weakness. This one's sneaky
01:58because most people don't connect it to the problem. So when does this problem actually happen?
02:03If the muscles around your mouth called the orbicularis oris are weak, then the natural
02:07force that holds your jaw bones inside gets completely gone. And here's the biggest mistake
02:11is when your mouth stays open or lips don't seal comfortably together all day long. This is training
02:17your face to look forward. Your teeth and bones start shifting outward, which makes the protrusion
02:22look even worse. You're not fixing anything. You're making it worse every single day.
02:26The fix. You need to reverse and strengthen these muscles using lip seal isolation exercises.
02:31Here's how. Keep your lips gently pressed and closed. Put your tongue on the roof of your mouth.
02:36Take long breaths through your nose. But that's not enough. You also need stronger muscles.
02:41Practice the button on a string technique. Do this for two to three minutes every single day.
02:45Through this exercise, the muscle tone around your lips comes back. The protrusion goes away.
02:50Problem three. Masseter hypertrophy and nocturnal clenching. Here's what's weird about this one.
02:55Guys look in the mirror and think their jaw bone is naturally huge, that it's genetically sticking
02:59out. But that's usually not true. The real reason is that their masseter muscle, the muscle that
03:04controls chewing, is growing too much. Hypertrophied. The big reason is this. When you're awake,
03:09you unconsciously clench your teeth tight. When you're sleeping, you grind them. Every single clench
03:14is a workout for your masseter muscles. Over time, they grow bigger. Because of these
03:19hypertrophied muscles, your lower face looks wide and pushes outward. Your jaw looks more
03:24forward. And because of this, biomaxillary protrusion looks even worse. The fix. Do two
03:30things. Masseter myofascial release and jaw unclenching technique. Here's how to do it.
03:35Take your knuckles and put them on your masseter muscles, the sides of your jaw. Massage them in slow
03:40circular motions for 60 seconds. This releases the tension and reduces the muscle size over time.
03:45Second, follow the dental separation rule all day long. Your teeth should not touch each other,
03:50your lips should be closed. This prevents constant clenching and grinding that's making your masseter
03:55grow. You could do all three fixes. But unless you fix your tongue posture and facial mechanics from
04:01the root cause, it won't stay fixed. Just braces on your teeth is not enough. Surgery is not enough.
04:06Your habits, tongue posture, muscle patterns, these are everything. And if you're dealing
04:11with nighttime nasal stuffiness, I'll put the breezy nasal strips in the description and pinned
