00:00obviously last year did not go very well for them. And this year probably isn't going to go
00:04very well for them. But that doesn't mean there won't be individuals who bounce back. It's a very
00:08interesting time for a lot of these young players, a very important time for some of these young
00:12players. And I think they're going to be able to take advantage of that. Here are three guys who I
00:16think bounce back for the Calgary Flames this season. So the first two are going to have a very
00:26similar premise behind them. And we'll start with Martin Pospisil. He came into last season injured.
00:31He kind of jumped on the treadmill midway through, then goes off to the Olympics, then has to come
00:36back a little bit banged up again. And in that tournament, it was a regular offseason for him,
00:41able to get back to let's try to be a better NHL-er instead of let's just hope that my
00:47brain
00:47stops hurting. So I think for him, having a full offseason, being able to hit the ground running
00:54and training camp is going to get this guy back to some of the levels that we saw a couple
00:58of years
00:58ago. Is he going to be the top six forward that we saw a few years ago with him, Zeri,
01:04and Nazem
01:05Qadri? I don't think so. The Flames do not have that center or that kind of center depth that they
01:10can put Pospisil with to be able to get that out of them. But the conversations of is this guy
01:15just
01:15done? Is he going to get passed by some of these kids coming up? I think those are going to
01:18kind of
01:18go away. I think we have a bit of a bounce back here here for Martin Pospisil.
01:21I'm taking my last shot with Conor Zeri at number two. I, for kind of the same reasons,
01:27again, this guy has had some injury issues. I still think that the year after the year after
01:33from injury is going to benefit him. And he's just, he's too good for it to not. And honestly,
01:39I think he has to see the writing on the wall. Like this is a very important season for him.
01:42We talked about him earlier in the offseason about being a guy who was under the most pressure
01:47coming into the year. So I think he feels that pressure. The skill is good. The hands are good.
01:54The skating was good before injury. Maybe it's not going to be to the level that it was,
01:59but I think he's smart enough that he's going to be able to adjust that here. So I think there's
02:02going to be a bit of a bounce back for Conor Zeri. But number one, this isn't injury related. It's
02:06just, it can't be that bad again. It's Matt Coronado. This guy has 30 goals in that stick. I truly
02:11believe that. And now he is going to play with guys who can actually get him the puck
02:16in advantageous offensive situations with Gridden and with Morgan Frost. So I think Coronado has a
02:22big bounce back. Like this is, he is not the game changer that this organization needs, nor was he
02:28ever expected to be that. But when this team gets good again, this guy is still going to be a
02:33very
02:33high scorer and a very big part of what they do. And I think that starts this year with getting
02:39back
02:39on track. So those are my bounce back candidates for the Calgary Flames. Am I out to lunch on any
02:43of these guys? Let me know in the chat. Let me know in the comments. And if there's anyone I
02:47missed,
02:48who do you think is going to bounce back for Calgary? Let me know. And we can have that
02:51conversation again in the comments or find me on social media. I am at PrimetimeKline on Instagram,
02:56X, TikTok threads, and on Blue Sky.
