00:00If you're Green Bay, you know, you lost your running back to off-field issues to start this
00:07year. Not great. We've got three guys, Craig and I, still trying to figure out who they are,
00:12and, you know, are they worth the 20 and a half yards that they're being put out there?
00:17And you just lost a couple of offensive linemen. One of their other great receivers, Reed,
00:23in the concussion protocol. So now all of a sudden you've got both these teams kind of
00:27limping into a week three matchup where, listen, I'm hoping it's a good game, Craig, and I think
00:36it'll be close because at this point, I don't see a lot of difference between these two teams.
00:41Not saying they're going to be the same in November, but as of tonight, on a short week,
00:47I don't see a lot separating these two teams. No, I agree. And the Falcons are really an
00:52interesting case because this is like, you know, the Falcons are not the Browns, you know,
00:57like they're not one of these teams that loses, that loses 13 games or 14 games. It's, it's an
01:04interesting franchise, Joe, when you really think about it, because you have an owner that got a
01:10stadium built in Atlanta a few years ago. They host a lot of national championship games in college,
01:16some of the biggest games, Super Bowls as well. And, and by all accounts, Joe, Arthur Blank is,
01:23is really considered to be a likable guy that everybody believes really, really wants to win.
01:30Like, this is not a guy that is hated. Like everybody likes him, but unfortunately it seems
01:37like Joe, to me that it's similar, at least in Miami situation, a kind of similar situation where
01:43the ship is just out to sea and it's just changing, you know, it just changes direction.
01:48Like, like one minute it's this and one minute it's this, which tells me, unfortunately, Joe,
01:53maybe some bad advice getting to Arthur Blank, because I mean, after all these years, you would
01:59just think they'd have one great year outside of that one year that they lost in the Super Bowl. But
02:05I don't know. Look, it's, it's hard to win. It's hard to be an owner in that league. It's hard
02:10to
02:10be a GM because we're now in a situation in the NFL where a rebuild you used to get the
02:16first year
02:16of stinking, the second year of 500, and then you got to win by the third year or you're out.
02:21Now it's
02:21you get the one year of stinking and then you better be good the next year. Like that's it. You
02:25only get the one year off. So I, I, I sort of get the sense, unfortunately, Joe, that the Falcons
02:33may finish last. They may, they may finish with four or five wins and then may have to
02:38start this all over again, you know, and you know, Penix at the time when he was take,
02:43when he was taken, you know, we all, every, everybody that knew anything about football
02:48was like, Whoa, that may not be a good pick. That's a bad sign, man. You know, like that's
02:52a bad sign. That's getting some bad advice, especially when you just paid $180 million to
02:57Kirk Cousins to be your quarterback and then you draft his replacement. It seems like just bad
03:04advice there. And I hate to do it because amongst owners in the league, it seems like blank does get
03:11good reviews as far as those, like, you don't, you don't hear like people saying, Oh, we got to get
03:15this guy out of here. Like he's one of those, you know, just like every man's kind of guy. And
03:21and the other thing too, is that the Falcons in a way, Joe, when you really think about it,
03:28they're always going to be behind the Braves, you know, like they're like the Braves are,
03:32are always going to rule that city and the Falcons just have to make people excited about the team
03:38again. And it's one of those cities that in the South, like the dolphins, like the bucks,
03:42when you're not good, people don't go Joe, that stadium in November and December,
03:49if they're not good, no one's no one, they lost the hockey franchise and no one goes to see the
03:54Hawks. If they're not good Falcons, that stadium is going to be empty. That dome is going to be
03:59empty at the end of the year. So hopefully for them, they at least give fans something to cheer
04:04about, but they got Drake London. They got B. John Robinson. I'm sorry, Joe. They they've got to
04:10figure out a way to be better. It shouldn't require having the superstar quarterback there with
04:15these skilled position guys that they have. They have to be better. I agree. And they they're
04:20going to need to be better. And listen, same, same argument here with Green Bay. Now that you lost
04:26Reed, Christian Watson has got to be the guy here for you tonight. That's that's how it's got to work
04:33here. You can talk a craft is not going to be used to fly up and down the field. They
04:38made him stay in
04:39the block last week against the Jets because of the injuries on the offensive line. So you're going
04:44to lose one of the best weapon tight end weapons in the National Football League. So who does that
04:50leave? Well, it leaves Christian Watson, who, you know, we've already seen AJ Terrell is out. That's
04:57one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He is out. So we saw Metcalf have a pretty good outing
05:04there
05:04against Atlanta. McMillan, I think, also torched them with Carolina. So, yeah, there's some
05:12opportunities here, I think, for, you know, Christian Watson and some of the other guys for
05:17them. But it's not December in Green Bay. Right, Craig? It's it's September. The weather is not going
05:23to be an issue. I am the more and more I'm looking at this, the more and more I'm going.

05:30Drake London and Penix Jr., if we learned anything with those two, is that there's a
05:34there is a synergy there. And Drake London being involved in a game means they have to stretch
05:40the field. Stretching that field opens it up for B's on Robinson because they can't put seven in
05:46the box because they know you have no downfield threat. So I do think points could very much be
05:53a part of this game here tonight. But again, I'm not giving love a pass either, just because you're
05:59home. You got to go out there and get it done here in front of your fans. And somebody has
06:06got
06:06to step up there because we haven't seen that very much from Green Bay. Yeah. And, you know,
06:11the Packers are just they've been sleepwalking for a while now. And it's definitely a compelling
06:17point that you make about Watson. My only counterpart to that is there a receiver on that Packers team
06:24that's been healthy for three games in a row this season. This may be a first crazy with Christian
06:28Watson actually being healthy and playing three games in a row. You know, my son asked me about
06:34playing him in fantasy tonight. And I said, I guess if you have to, you know, but I personally do
06:39not
06:40like that over there. I think that that seems high for a player that's done very little in the NFL.
