00:00Brazil is so large that within its borders there are many countries.
00:04It has more than 8.5 million square kilometers and occupies about half of the
00:10territory of Sud America, with more than 200 million inhabitants distributed in 26 states and the
00:16federal district. But Brazil is not just enormous, it is profoundly diverse. It has six
00:23grandes biomas, which are the Amazonia, the Cerrado, the Caatinga, the Mata Atlántica, the Pantanal and
00:30the Pampa. That means that in the same country, they live in the most tropical selve of the planet,
00:36enormous reservoirs of sweet water, extensive agricultural areas,
00:40large industrial areas and an extraordinary biodiversity.
00:46So, Sao Paulo is not like Amazonas and Rio Grande do Sul is different to Bahia,
00:52because they change the climate, the economy, the cultures, the necessities and
00:57even the way to live in the territory.
00:59It is a country that is a single country, but with dimensions, identities and realities that
01:05seem the same as the entire continent.
