Coelophysis was a small, lightweight, agile Late Triassic carnivore, commonly estimated around 2–3 metres long. This long-form hypothetical matchup compares it with Herrerasaurus and Riojasaurus through size, body build, speed, claws, teeth, reach and overall anatomy. Museum sources describe Coelophysis as a fast, agile predator with sharp teeth and claws; Herrerasaurus was around 3 m, while Riojasaurus reached about 5.2 m.
