00:14Judge Timothy Kelly ruled the bans violated basic due process protections,
00:20since the outlets weren't given a notice or a chance to challenge the decision before losing access.
00:26CNN, MSNOW and Politico filed a joint lawsuit asking for a temporary restraining order against the ban,
00:35on the grounds that it violates the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which upholds the right to a
00:42free press.
00:44On Friday, Trump justified the ban in a social media post,
00:48accusing the outlets of publishing fake news and warning that other news organizations could also face similar treatment.
00:56Nearly 15 news organizations, including the major broadcast networks in the U.S.,
01:02had rallied in support of the banned outlets, with some halting White House pool coverage in solidarity.
