Assembly of European Regions & GE Energy partnership

AER has worked for several years on boosting the key role of regional authorities when it comes to issues linked to energy dependency and respecting the environment. When seeking a technical expert to translate these challenges into concrete action plans, AER turned to GE Energy at the beginning of 2009, it being the only major player in the sector covering all energy production methods and present in all European countries.
Since then, the AER-GE Energy partnership has initiated several joint events, ranging from platforms for the exchange of best practice to the organisation of conferences. The high point of the partnership, a European Regions Energy Day will be held each year, at the end of April, in Brussels.
