00:03you've probably heard the hype that every projector is ready for any light but the truth
00:08is most of them just wash out when the sun tries to peek in the view sonic lsd 400w flips
00:14that
00:14script by actually delivering a solid picture even when you're under a canopy or parked next
00:20to a truck stop most of us who spend weekends on the tailgate or set up a quick briefing in
00:24a garage
00:25know the pain of flickering bulbs and endless warm-up times you want something that just works
00:30no fuss and you don't want to be swapping lamps every few months because a dusty road kicked up
00:36a speck of grit that's where this laser projector shines first off the 0.65 inch dmd chip drives a
00:43native wxga resolution 1280 by 800 pixels that's crisp enough for reading schematics maps or even
00:52a movie night on the back of a pickup the laser phosphor engine cranks out a full 4 000 ansi
00:58lumens so the image stays punchy whether you've got a few streetlights or a bright midday sky
01:03because it's laser the colors stay consistent night after night and you never have to worry about the
01:08bulb dimming as it ages installation is a breeze the unit is about a third smaller than the previous
01:15view sonic model so it slides into tight roof racks side mounts on a van or tucks into a custom
01:21bracket
01:21on a camper's wall it rotates a full 360 degrees and flips into portrait mode meaning you can project
01:28a vertical layout for a service manual without a second screen no need for a massive tripod or a
01:34dedicated projector room what really matters on a job site or at a campsite is reliability the sealed
01:40ip6x rated engine blocks dust sand and even the occasional bug from getting inside the optics
01:46that means the image quality stays steady and you won't be hunting for a clogged filter every few
01:52weeks the projector powers up instantly to full brightness no waiting for a warm-up cycle no cool
01:59down delay when you need to shut it down after a long day from a cost perspective you're looking at
02:04up
02:04to 30 000 hours of lamp free use that translates to zero bulb replacements and roughly half the power draw
02:11of a conventional lamp-based projector over the life of the unit the savings stack up especially if you're
02:17running it daily for work presentations training sessions or just streaming a game in the trailer
02:22the one thing i'd flag is the native resolution wxga isn't full 1080p so if you're planning to display
02:29high detail video or large format graphics you'll notice a bit of softness compared to a true 1080p source
02:35it's a trade-off for the ruggedness and brightness and for most outdoor or automotive uses the clarity
02:41is more than adequate bottom line you get a compact dust type projector that throws a bright laser sharp
02:48image in real world conditions with almost no maintenance and low power draw if that sounds like
