00:18Yeah, well, he was traded to Toronto, and it looks like that deal has now gone through,
00:24and he has agreed to a two-year, $115 million contract extension with the Raptors.
00:34By the way, he does get a player option for 2028-29.
00:38This according not to his uncle, no, his new agent, Harrison Gaines here, because he had
00:45to fire his good old uncle there that was pretty much the one who put everything together that
00:51he would get paid by a tree company that didn't really exist.
00:56So what is it?
00:57I think he had to give a couple million dollars back, slop on a wrist.
01:01Well, he's making that back because now he's got a two-year extension, $115 million to go
01:09back to Toronto, where, as you will recall, he did win an NBA championship here.
01:17But just absolutely ridiculous.
01:2035 years old, Kawhi Leonard, when healthy, just an assassin, one of the best players that
01:26we have seen over the last decade and a half.
01:29The problem is he's almost never always healthy.
01:31He comes with a ton of baggage, as you can see.
01:35And don't forget, he didn't want to stay.
01:38He didn't want to stay in Toronto.
01:40They would have done anything to sign him to that extension.
01:43He was basically a hired gun that season, and it worked out pretty well for the Raptors
01:49with their championship.
01:52But my goodness, now he's going back there after he absolutely demolished Steve Ballmer
02:00and the Clippers with all of the ridiculousness behind the scenes and trying to skirt the salary
02:07cap, and he's getting paid by this company, he's getting paid by, absolutely crazy.
02:13But when you think about it, $108, $115 million, I guess maybe, well, that's not too bad.
02:21You give up $7 million, and then you get $115 million.
02:26You got to love the way that works.
02:27And don't forget, the Raptors and the Clippers agreed to this trade back on June 30th, and
02:34I believe in return, Brandon Ingram and Grady Dick, I believe, along with two unprotected
02:41first-round picks, are heading to the Clippers.
