00:00Often regarded as one of federal government's sick babies, the Nigerian Football Federation

00:04is known to have this penchant for punching below his weight,

00:07despite gulping billions of Naira from the federal government to develop football.

00:11For the record, the Middle Board of the Nigerian Football Federation, led by Elijah Ibrahim Guso,

00:15received a whopping 17 billion Naira Intervention Fund from President Bolame Tunubu to develop

00:20football at the grassroots, as well at the national level. But what do we have? There

00:23is nothing to show for him. The Super Ego failed to qualify for World Cup, Super Falcons failed to

00:28lead to the World Cup, but there is no World Cup for the Flying League as well as the Golden

00:30Eglets. And Nigerian Football has continued to be in the door droops over the years. That is

00:35Nigerian Football Federation for you. Also, a lot of money coming from FIFA Go project has not been

00:39accounted for. If you go to Abuja today, we don't have anything called FIFA Go project. What we

00:43have is a pitch that is good enough to develop corn and millet. It's so sad for Nigerian Football.

00:48That has been the antecedent of 81-year-old Nigerian Football Federation. Old glory, same old story.

00:53And the LFF has continued to remain as work in progress, trying to find that elusive solution

00:59to the dwindling fortune of Nigerian Football. But it's not going to be business as usual. Recently,

01:03the middle board resigned and decided to work out. But that is not the end. They must be probed by

01:07the

01:07federal government. That will serve as deterrent to whoever is coming in to run our football. The way

01:12forward is for us to sit back and bring in all the technocrats who are so good, the Milano of

01:17this

01:17world, Adolfi Jano of this world, let them come in and revamp our football. That is the only way to

01:22go.

01:22The next World Cup is around the corner. We can just sit back. The board must be put in place.

01:26The right people must come to take over and it shall be good for Nigerian Football.
