00:00Guys, the FDA just officially did something that they saved for the absolute worst cases.
00:05They just upgraded the jalapeno recall to a class 1,
00:08and that level means that this food can put you in the hospital or worse.
00:12So the recalled jalapenos came from Taylor Farms.
00:15Is it ringing a bell?
00:16And the FDA obviously just bumped the entire thing to a class 1 recall,
00:20which is the most serious level they have.
00:22They're saying that they only use that whenever something can actually land you in the hospital,
00:25and it's now covering 23 different products across 27 different states.
00:29It's currently covering everything from fresh jalapenos, guacamole, salsa, dips,
00:33and even roast beef sandwiches and a shrimp salad.
00:36Over 223,000 units got pulled,
00:38and they were sold at basically every single store that people go to,
00:41which includes Walmart, Target, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Kroger.
00:44This has already made a ton of people sick,
00:46which is 431 people across 32 states that got salmonella from these jalapenos,
00:51and about 60 of them ended up in the hospital.
00:53So if you obviously have any of these products that are recalled in your fridge right now,
00:57they're saying to not even risk it.
