00:05on laptop so you can stop unwanted notification sounds and popups whilst you're working,

00:22Now there's two steps to this, the first way is to disable notifications in Discord and
00:27then what you're going to want to do is disable them on your computer or laptop as well.
00:31So make sure to watch this full guide so you don't miss any important steps.
00:34First what you want to do is load up the Discord app and log into your account.
00:39Once you've done that, you want to come and click onto the gear icon in the bottom left
00:43hand corner to go into your user settings.
00:46From here, come over to the menu on the left hand side and click onto notifications.
00:51And once you've done that, if you look at the top, you're going to see an option to enable
00:54desktop notifications.
00:56So to me, it will turn off your desktop notifications, all you need to do is simply turn the switch
01:01off like so.
01:02Once you've done that, you can close down your settings and for now just minimize Discord.
01:06Next, what you want to do from your desktop is come to your search box in the task bar
01:10at the bottom.
01:11And in here, you just want to type notifications and then open up notifications and actions,
01:17which should now come up underneath best match.
01:19So once you've done that, what it's going to do is just take a minute or two to load through
01:22your apps.
01:24And from here, you just want to scroll through until you find Discord.
01:28Once you've found Discord, as you can see, banners and sound notifications is enabled.
01:33So make sure to turn the switch off here as well to completely mute and turn off Discord notifications.
