00:10Good morning, thank you very much for the invitation.
00:13So we're seeing the same trend that we saw in Saxony-Anhalt two weeks ago. The AFD scores
00:19big gains and the parties of the federal government are being marginalized. How much
00:23pressure can Friedrich Merz's coalition sustain? At what point is its collapse inevitable?
00:31Yeah, so there is lots of pressure to the coalition in Berlin. And what we saw is,
00:36when you are looking to the results since the European Parliament, since the elections of the
00:40European Parliament, there you can see, especially in the eastern port of Germany, really much increase
00:47of the results of the AFD, over 30%. So it is not that something is, it is not that it
00:54is new. So we
00:55see it since the elections of the European Parliament. But now we see that lots of people
01:02lost their trust in the federal government. And these are the results also for the state
01:09parliament elections. Would the Social Democrats support the Christian Democrats replacing Merz by
01:17somebody else?
01:18So this is something we need to discuss because there is lots of pressure, but we need to really look.
01:24These
01:25are now our results for the local elections. And here it is the most important thing that we now
01:32stabilized the situation and that we can have a good coalition in the different federal, in the different
01:41state parliaments. And for that, we need to see how we can end up in this special situation. And then
01:49we can
01:49see what is going on in Berlin. But there is lots of pressure and something that was really new is
01:54that Friedrich Merz
01:56gave an interview directly after they represent the results of the elections. And there you can see there is lots
02:03of
02:03pressure.
