00:06Can you believe it?
00:09Wow, here we go. This is a huge adventure.
00:11It's on.
00:14It was wonderful to have Kirk and Picard.
00:17I was out to direct the first Next Generation movie.
00:20Nimoy hated the script.
00:21He said the script was a page one rewrite.
00:23They weren't prepared to pay any money, so I turned it down a couple of times.
00:27I was cut out of the movie.
00:30Out of the blue, J.J. Abrams says, I want to do a Star Trek movie.

00:44I was devastated.
00:47Bill Shatner was holding on to one of the rails.
00:49And the banister broke away.
00:51And there was a collective.

00:57Leonard keeled over and went face first.
01:00I was afraid I'd killed him with my set.
01:02You knew the tidal wave was coming.
01:04It was a little insane.
01:06I was desperate to go to the loo.
01:10I thought, are they going to cut me off?
01:12What?
01:13I find that really, really scary.
01:15I thought it was cool.
01:16It's very difficult to come into not only a franchise, but a legacy.
01:21That crazy.
01:22Oh, God.
01:24We'll see.
01:24You haven't made it to us anymore.
