00:02I'm talking about the characters' costumes.
00:04I've already said that I really like how Marvel has been bolder with its costumes.
00:08In She-Hulk, we saw a lot of comical costumes that were very faithful to the comics, which I really
00:12liked.
00:13But I think we have a big problem with many of the main superheroes relying too much on nanotechnology to
00:17wear their costumes.
00:18We saw this starred in Black Panther and Iron Man, which makes sense for these characters,
00:22especially with Tony Stark integrating more technology every time he creates a suit.
00:26In Iron Man 3, we saw what happened when his suit was out of reach.
00:30With parts of the armor flying across the country to him.
00:32And with nanotechnology, it made sense for him to go down this path, just like Black Panther, since Wakanda developed
00:37this technology.
00:38However, I feel that this has become a lazier way of getting the characters into their costumes.
00:42The suit-up sequences used to be amazing.
00:44I remember the first time we saw Tony Stark putting on the Iron Man armor in the first movie.
00:47It was an event.
00:48Even the first time he uses the nanotech armor in Avengers.
00:51Infinity War is a big moment.
00:53But then we have nanotechnology in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
00:56Quantumania.
00:56I understand its purpose and why it was used in that film.
00:59Nanotechnology became the standard way these suits worked in Endgame.
01:02So it makes sense for that to transfer to this film.
01:04However, I just hate the way they put the suits on now.
01:06It feels so fake and I don't like it.
01:08I miss the physical suits, the way they used to look.
01:10This nanotechnology became so famous that it transcended the Marvel Universe and ended up in the DC Universe.
01:16Yes, we can see it in some films like Black Adam and the second Suicide Squad movie.
01:20Even in TV series, we see Supergirl with a nanotech suit.
01:23If you don't remember, the first time we saw this technology was in Guardians of the Galaxy, where James Gunn
01:27is the director.
01:28He had some issues and ended up going to DC, taking this technology with him, as we see it in
01:33the second Suicide Squad movie.
01:34Fun fact, he's now the new head of films at DC Comics.
01:36And I hope with all my heart that he doesn't adopt this for the new Superman movie.
01:40Nobody can take it anymore.
01:41Even Captain America has nanotechnology for protection, and he literally has a shield for that, which completely changes the character.
01:47Why does he need the shield if he has the technology?
01:49It's not as impressive or cool when they just hit their chest and, boom, they're in their suits.
