00:05unknown road he suddenly came across something very strange and decided it was best to call the
00:10police. He always took the same route and knew it well but one day the road was closed due to
00:15construction and he was forced to take an alternative route. There was a detour and with
00:21some hesitation Ben took it. The detour took him over streets he had never seen before. It was still
00:27early morning and the road was very quiet. The fact that it was so quiet calmed him somewhat as he
00:32was a little nervous about taking the detour and those nerves came back quickly when he noticed
00:37something strange. A frown appeared on Ben's face as he slowed down and carefully stopped on the side
00:43of the road. He was thought to always slow down when a car passed but was unsure what to do
00:48now.
00:49A car stood still in the middle of the road with open doors. He stared at it. Ben wasn't sure
00:55what
00:55to do but the situation intrigued him and his curiosity got the better of him. Slowly but surely
01:00he got closer to the car. Eventually when Ben was close enough he heard the motor still running.

01:18Ben got the feeling that something might be wrong as he didn't see anyone around.
01:22He decided to call the police as it seemed the right thing to do. The cops told him they would
01:27be right there and he didn't have to worry. But Ben wasn't worried. He was mainly very curious.
01:35He approached the car from the front and started at the passenger side. Apart from the fact that it
01:40was empty Ben didn't see anything strange or out of the ordinary. The same could be said about the
01:46driver's seat but when he reached the back seat he did see something weird. There were some beads in the
01:51scene. It looked like they came from a necklace or some sort. Ben shook his head. He had seen
01:57stranger things in his parents car. But now that his mind was focused on the beads Ben noticed there
02:02were more around the car like some sort of trail. He followed the beads with his eyes as far as
02:08he
02:08could from where he stood. In his mind there was no other option than that the beads were meant to
02:13guide
02:13someone somewhere. It was a sign to follow and acting impulsively Ben started to follow his instinct
02:19in the beads. The longer he followed the trail the harder it became to follow it. At first the
02:25beads stood out on the road but eventually Ben had to leave the pavement and walk on the grass.
02:31He also noticed that the beads became more sporadic the longer he followed but he managed to stay on
02:36track. He moved quickly curious about where the path would lead. His gaze was scouring the ground for
02:43the next bead but he couldn't find it. It seemed like he reached the end. When Ben looked up he
02:48saw an
02:49abandoned looking factory which gave him the creeps. He hesitated about what to do next.
02:54Doubtfully he moved closer to the building and that's when he noticed it. Near the door he saw
03:00the remains of the beaded necklace on the ground but that wasn't all. Pieces of fabric were beside it
03:06looking like they came from clothing. It gave him an eerie feeling. Why did the trail suddenly stop here
03:12and why were there ripped pieces of clothing? Thinking this was something the police would like to know
03:16he tried to call the cops again but his call failed. When he looked at his phone he noticed he
03:22had no
03:22service. There was one thing he could do. Ben retraced his steps as fast as possible and ran back to
03:28the car hoping the police were already there. His heart was pounding and his mind was racing and he
03:33felt relieved when he saw the officers. Who would have guessed his day would be so exciting? But it was
03:39far from over. Ben arrived at the car breathlessly and surprised the officers. Where did he go and why
03:45was he so out of breath? When Ben recovered he explained what he had found and urged the police
03:49officers to come with him. He took a few deep breaths and ran back to the building guiding the
03:55officers. Not sure what to make of the boy's story the officers followed hesitantly but they soon
04:00noticed the trail Ben spoke of and when they arrived they saw the beaded necklace and pieces of ripped
04:05clothing. Ben was happy that the officers agreed this was worth investigating and watched them
04:11enter the building. Ben waited outside anxiously letting his imagination run wild on what was
04:16happening inside. He hoped he guided the police officers to someone in need and help arrive just
04:21in time due to his help. A smile appeared on his face as the thought went through his mind
04:26but then the officers reappeared. The police officers asked Ben to return to the abandoned car and explain
04:32everything that happened. The young boy answered all their questions but while he did his mind was
04:37somewhere else. He couldn't stop thinking about the factory and when the officers told him he could
04:42leave Ben knew exactly where to go because when he grabbed his bike Ben went directly back to the
04:49factory. Initially the building scared him but the officers searched the place and found it safe
04:54and when he arrived the door was already half open. It was too tempting for him to stay outside.
05:00What could go wrong? The young boy walked through the factory subconsciously looking for beads and
05:06pieces of fabric. He imagined the factory was still active the hall filled with lots of workers making
05:11a bunch of noise but then his imagination suddenly became a reality as his thoughts were interrupted by
05:17a faint sound. It took a while before Ben fully realized the sound was real. His body froze in place
05:24and he held his breath. Was it real or was it inside his head? But no there it was again

05:30repeating itself over and over again and then suddenly silence. Ben's curiosity skyrocketed as he
05:37wanted nothing more than to figure out where the sound originated from and what was making it.
05:42His ears guided him toward the back of the factory and when Ben entered a small corridor filled with
05:48doors on either side the sound became apparent. His heartbeat quickened and his body tensed up as he
05:54walked through the hallway trying to pinpoint the exact location but then he suddenly halted.
06:00When he passed one of the doors he suddenly heard the sound behind him. It was clear this was the
06:05origin
06:06of the noise but as he stood before it Ben could also make out an additional sound. Something that worried
06:13him. It sounded like people were behind the door but he wasn't entirely sure. Ben tried to open the door
06:19but it seemed stuck in place. He put his ear against the cold metal door trying to hear exactly what
06:24was
06:24going on inside the room but all he heard was his own breathing. There was one option left. Is someone
06:31there? He asked in a quivering voice. A silence followed which seemed to last forever but then Ben gasped as
06:38his
06:38fear was confirmed. There were people on the other side of this door. He heard their voices but they
06:43sounded unusual to him. What was going on? He tried to open the door again. He had to get inside.
06:50Ben
06:51pulled the door with all his might but it didn't budge. He sighed frustrated and mustered all his strength
06:57for one final pull and to his delight the door finally opened. When he stepped inside he noticed the
07:03door handle was missing. If he closed the door behind him he couldn't exit anymore. The voices were louder
07:09but still sounded strange to Ben and when his eyes finally adjusted to the darkness in the room he understood
07:15why they sounded so weird. Before him lie a family their hands and legs bound together. Their voices sounded
07:22muffled because they were gagged. Ben didn't believe what he was seeing. Even though he had imagined people needing
07:29help and being a hero Ben didn't think it would turn out like this. The police were the ones that
07:34had to
07:34find the people in need. It took the young boy some time to process everything but then he moved into
07:40action untying the scared family. Within moments the family was untied and able to talk. The mother and
07:47daughter sobbed and embraced Ben not knowing how to thank him but the father brought everyone back to
07:53reality. We aren't free yet we have to get out of here before they come back he urged everyone.
07:59The family put all their faith in the young boy and followed him trustfully. Ben ran as fast as he
08:04could toward the car he found that morning and hoped with all his heart the police would still be there
08:09and when he saw they were his heart jumped. They could help. The police showed confused faces when
08:15they saw the panic group running toward them but the father quickly explained this was their car and
08:20they had been driving here this morning when a group suddenly forced them to stop after which they
08:24forcefully grabbed him and his family and took them somewhere. But one question remained unanswered
08:30for the police. Why did they take you? What did they want from you? The officers asked but they
08:36didn't know. Probably ransom? The father guessed. The criminals left immediately after bringing them to
08:42the factory. But I did hear one of them say that they would return sooner than later the father said.
08:48If they acted quickly the police could take their place before the criminals returned and catch them
08:53red-handed. The officers asked Ben where they needed to go and with his instructions they
08:58successfully arrived at the corridor. Three police officers took position inside the room. They let
09:04themselves get locked in but they were in constant communication with the rest of the team which
09:10would stay in the area and provide backup. The police waited anticipatingly while the family and Ben
09:15were more anxious. It turned out the father had overheard it correctly as after a few hours a group of
09:22people showed up and entered the factory. They looked around suspiciously and made their way toward
09:27the corridor unaware of the surprise they would get. Because the moment they opened the door the police
09:33officers inside the room were ready to welcome them. Hands where we can see them and face the wall they
09:37yelled. Because the criminals were caught red-handed and there were multiple witnesses the case was built pretty
09:44fast and the following week the criminals stood trial. Thanks to the statements from the family
09:49and Ben the jury decided on a long prison sentence for all culprits. They weren't harming anyone anytime
09:55soon. A few days after the trial he received a formal invitation to the police station. Excited Ben went
10:02over and was met with a ceremony organized for him. During the ceremony the police gave him a medal for
10:07his bravery and incredible help.
