00:00New World Heavyweight Champion and Mark Henry.
00:02Upset.
00:02What's gonna happen in the WWE Championship matchup?
00:05Well, I'll tell you what that is all about.
00:07That is about who, which man is gonna continue the illustrious heritage of
00:14the WWE title.
00:16Is it gonna be John Cena or is it gonna be Alberto Del Rio?
00:19This match is about the Holy Grail,
00:21the most important title in sports entertainment history.
00:30We have a new champion in Buddy Nature Boy Runners.
00:35The baby's champion of the O'Conn.
00:41This is the greatest tribute any champion could ever have.
00:45The boyhood dream has come true.
00:48The media's running worldwide.
01:05The most important title in all the WWE.
01:07The most important title in all the WWE.
01:12Nothing is more important than the WWE Championship.
01:16The most important title in all the WWE Championship.
01:21Alberto, Alberto.
01:25Mr. Money in the Bank, he's cashing it in.
01:29Alberto Del Rio.
01:31Oh my lord, Del Rio's champion, Del Rio's champion.
01:35My name is Alberto Del Rio.
01:37Del Rio.
01:38It was my destiny to be the WWE Champion.
01:41What can I say?
01:44It is my destiny to be the greatest of the great.
01:48Some people.
01:49El más grande.
01:50Just born.
01:51Entre los grandes.
01:52To be great.
01:53This is uncalled for.
01:54I wanna represent every single one of you.
01:58This match is over.
01:59With respect.
02:00This is not the mark of a true champion.
02:02With honesty.
02:03That's no way for a champion to act.
02:05With passion.
02:07I am a real champion.
02:16Everybody knows who you are.
02:19You're the man who believes it is your destiny to have that championship.
02:24I'm John Cena.
02:26I remember when I started, the WWE was a very big part of my life.
02:31And then, the WWE became my life.
02:36Well, I got to dance in this ring with Hall of Famers.
02:39I got to travel the world.
02:41I got to meet millions and millions of people.
02:44And quite frankly, I've got to live out a fantasy.
02:47Every week, I turn critics into believers to try to give every single bit of integrity
02:53to that WWE Championship.
02:55I'm John Cena, cashing in his rematch clause for the WWE Championship.
03:05I am tired of you bullying people because you say you can.
03:11You are not a champion.
03:13You cashed in a briefcase and you got lucky.
03:17And that golden destiny that you got your hands on, that makes you a target.
03:24You're about to find out that your destiny is John Cena whipping your ass.
03:38I'm the man who's going to change WWE forever.
03:48I will be the man who's going to replace Legacy with my destiny.
04:07Ladies and gentlemen, this contest is set for one fall.
04:10Here's for the WWE Championship.
04:16Please welcome at this time, Alberto Del Rio's personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez.
04:32I'm begging that guy to change the oil in his hair.
04:58Now this is just unusual.
05:02WWE Championship and Del Rio walking into the arena.
05:06Where's that sweet bride he's normally in, dawg?
05:10Waiting to see it.
05:13Where's my kids? Where's my kids?
05:15Where's my kids?
05:18Where's my kids?
05:21Where's my kids?
05:22Where's my kids?
05:24Where's my kids?
05:24Where's my kids?
05:25Where's my kids?
05:27Where's my kids?
05:42Hey.
05:44Wait a minute!
05:49Hey, I saw Virgo Del Rio arrive in Buffalo today in that car.
05:54That's Del Rio's fly yellow Ferrari.
05:57It's an F430 worth $300,000.
06:00Del Rio told me about that earlier today.
06:02You sure that's the same one?
06:03Yes, it's the same one.
06:04How many people are driving Ferraris in this Dump-a-Buffalo?
06:07Well, it looks like John Cena was in driving one.
06:15What is going on here?
06:18All right.
06:24We didn't have anything to do with it, no.
06:28That's Grand Theft Auto.
06:30Cena should be arrested.
06:32They should arrest him.
06:33It was just a joy ride.
06:39A joy ride, huh, Keith?
06:41Yeah.
06:41That boy is so hot, you never catch me in the neck with a sweat ass.
06:45Let him hit, I dropped your whole plan.
06:47Lay your ass down for the three seconds.
06:50And he's done by getting inside the head of your opponent before a man hits a booker.
06:56He's kicking this thing off with a little mind games right off the bat.
06:59And I love John Cena's strategy.
07:01He introduces the participants first.
07:02From San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
07:12Listen.
07:14Hey you, listen.
07:16I don't want to hear your horrible voice with your horrible English accent.
07:24Pronouncing my beautiful name.
07:28Ricardo, come up here.
07:31Come on, and introduce the undisputed WWE Champion.
07:42But do it in the right way.
07:46In Spanish.
07:51Ladies and gentlemen, direct from San Luis Potosí, Mexico,
07:55I present you with the essence of the experience,
07:57the patron, the pride of Mexico,
08:00the champion of WWE, Alberto de Río.
08:13Yeah, it sends chills down my spine.
08:15Yeah, take that, you gringos.
08:22And the challenger.
08:25Uh-oh.
08:38You know what I hate the worst about you?
08:42You honestly think that you are in a class above everyone else.
08:46And I don't mean more talented.
08:48Just because you got money and nice stuff,
08:51you honestly think you're better than all these people.
08:55Think you're the only one who can drive fancy cars down to the ring.
08:58I stole your Ferrari.
09:00How does that make you feel?
09:04Think you're the only one who can get some sort of fancy introduction.
09:07I don't have my own garbage ring announcer, but I'll give it a try.
09:14And out of the red corner,
09:16wearing his Air Jordans and vintage 1990 jorts.
09:24Jorts.
09:25He is the fighting Fruity Pebble.
09:28The Count of Monte Fisto, the man with no control.
09:32He's got two tickets to paradise, and he's taking everybody.
09:39Weighing much more than enough to whip the dog crap out of Alberto de Río.
09:44And currently residing in a WWE ring in Buffalo, New York.
09:52He is G.N.C.
10:02What a suck-up.
10:04What?
10:05What a what?
10:06Suck-up.
10:08Now, ladies and gentlemen, this is about the WWE Championship.
10:12The most coveted prize in sports entertainment.
10:15It was 1963, nearly 50 years ago,
10:19when Buddy Rogers became the first WWE Champion.
10:24John Cena, the challenger,
10:26has held the title a record nine times.
10:30A record nine-time WWE Champion.
10:34Combined, Cena's won 11 World Titles.
10:39And ladies and gentlemen,
10:41they are watching live all over Mexico tonight
10:43as Alberto Del Rio
10:45defends the WWE title for a second time.
10:48And also around the world
10:50in places like Italy and Germany and Austria.
10:52Here we go.
10:53And of course,
10:54a special hello and thank you
10:55to all the servicemen and women
10:58watching all over the world
10:59on the American Forces Network.
11:05Whoa, big tackle right there.
11:06Let me tell you how important this thing is.
11:08I mean, the WWE Championship timing is up the essence.
11:12I mean, the circumstances totally have to be right.
11:14Just like they were for Alberto Del Rio
11:16at Money in the Bank,
11:18cashing it in.
11:18You gotta be in a position like that
11:20just to have a chance
11:21at getting this championship.
11:37Oh, it's just...
11:38I love this, but you know what?
11:39This diverse reaction that John Cena gives.
11:42You know what?
11:42John loves it as well.
11:43He feeds off of it.
11:44No superstar in history
11:45has had the emotional response
11:48in his matches the way Cena has.
11:51Definitely feel like John Cena
11:53is probably the most provocative
11:54WWE star we've had here ever in the WWE.
11:58I see, you know,
11:58talking about men in uniform.
12:00Right behind us,
12:01it's a number of Buffalo Bills
12:03who were in uniform this afternoon
12:04defeating the Oakland Raiders
12:05and they rushed right over here
12:06to be on hand to watch this match
12:08here at Night of Champions.
12:10And they're...
12:11Look at this.
12:12They're there for John Cena.
12:17The WWE universe
12:18notice the split tonight
12:20for Cena in this matchup
12:23as Del Rio goes to work.
12:25You know, you guys can say
12:26what you want about Alberto Del Rio,
12:28but there is no questioning
12:30that he's the real deal.
12:31Look at what Del Rio
12:32has accomplished this year alone.
12:34He won the largest Royal Rumble
12:36in history, 40 men.
12:38Alberto Del Rio,
12:40of course,
12:41this is the main event at Wrestlemania.
12:44He won the Money in the Black Ladder match.
12:46He cashed it in to
12:47win the WWE title.
12:50And Del Rio forced Edge to retire
12:52and injured Rey Mysterio.
12:53And look at Rodriguez.
12:55You know, I totally agree with you
12:57about Alberto Del Rio.
12:58I mean, this guy has done
12:58a whole lot of me.
13:00Being here in the WWE
13:01for a short amount of time,
13:03capturing the WWE Championship,
13:05it's unbelievable.
13:07Look at the referee,
13:08going to Rodriguez out of here.
13:09Get him out of here.
13:10You should be out of here anyway.
13:24Now an even playing field
13:25for the Challenger Seenum.
13:31Well, it's got to put a
13:32grip in the plans
13:33of Alberto Del Rio.
13:34Oh, right to the ribs.
13:37Man, oh man, the kidney.
13:38That was a kidney shot right there.
13:41You know, I don't think that's going to stop Del Rio.
13:43I mean, Del Rio is the real deal.
13:44I've been saying that since day one.
13:46Hated SmackDown lost him the long, just as well.
13:50Del Rio is so dangerous, too.
13:52Check him out.
13:54Again, I mentioned before, he injured Edge to the point Edge had to retire.
13:58Watch out here.
13:59Oh, my goodness.
14:00Alberto Del Rio has put Rey Mysterio on the shelf not once, but twice with injuries.
14:11It is an electric in Buffalo night as Del Rio looks to defend this championship.
14:17Here comes Del Rio.
14:18And it's Cena, and it's Del Rio.
14:19Wow.
14:21Here's the champion, putting a leg on Cena, and a kick out of two.
14:24That's what I like about Alberto Del Rio.
14:27Don't mind getting into a fight.
14:29You got to love it.
14:30Check this out.
14:31This is how Del Rio lost his manager.
14:36But Del Rio got the upper hand again with that kick to the kidney on John Cena.
14:43Got a whole lot of respect for Del Rio, like I say, capturing that championship.
14:47I mean, I worked my whole career to get to that point, to capture that championship.
14:51And I never got the WWE title.
14:53And I feel like I'm leaving this business, you know, just a little bit short.
14:57Well, you know, I'm going to agree with you, Booker.
15:00I'll give the devil his due.
15:02But, you know, there's an old saying, if you got it, flaunt it.
15:04But, man, does Del Rio ever flaunt it.
15:06I mean, he goes too far, if you ask me, throwing about how great he is.
15:10But, Jerry, he should.
15:12No, he should not.
15:13A great amateur background for Roberto Del Rio.
15:16Greco-Roman style.
15:17He medaled at the Pan American Games.
15:19In fact, he would have went to the Olympics, but Mexico didn't send the team.
15:22I know.
15:23That's how great Del Rio is.
15:24Great talent, great credentials, but let other people sing his praise.
15:28Just to get better.
15:29Cena coming away, gonna kick out.
15:31Big, gut-wrench suplex right there by Cena.
15:35John Cena says Del Rio's been dodging him for weeks.
15:38I think it's just great mind games that Del Rio is playing.
15:41Makes Cena wait for tonight.
15:43Oh, official and suplexed by Cena.
15:46Again, into a cover.
15:47Touch the leg of the champion.
15:48I mean, Cena is totally a powerhunt.
15:50I mean, the guy's legs is in space.
15:52Check this out right here.
15:53Watch the strength of John Cena here.
15:56Oh, man.
15:58That's just old school right there.
16:00Oh, and look at Del Rio.
16:01And looking to soften up the arm and shoulder with a cross arm breaker.
16:05Puts it into the cover here.
16:06And Cena grabs the rope.
16:08That was close.
16:09And again, Del Rio focusing on the arm and shoulder of Cena now.
16:12That's because Del Rio uses that cross arm breaker,
16:16a submission maneuver to put people away.
16:18You know, that's one thing about Del Rio.
16:20He's always doing something to his opponent.
16:21To distract him.
16:22He's always just messing with him.
16:24Just tributing him.
16:25And he's got right now Cena in a bad, bad position.
16:30Back to his feet, man.
16:31Right into a boot.
16:35Check this shot out right here.
16:37Oh, man.
16:39That's what I'm talking about.
16:40It's for his Del Rio.
16:41I mean, the guy was no motion in the middle of that ring,
16:44trying to get his opponent out of that.
16:46Cena's in trouble, guys.
16:47Yes, he is.
16:48The champion.
16:49And Cena's got a power attitude.
16:50Two.
16:51Del Rio followed one effective boot up with another.
16:54Almost got a three count.
16:56I'm gonna tell you, I think John Cena may have underestimated Alberto Del Rio tonight.
17:01Well, perhaps he did.
17:02Del Rio, though, has had one of the great years in WWE history.
17:06I don't think John Cena ever underestimates anybody.
17:09See, John has a lot of respect for anybody that steps into a WWE ring.
17:13There's again a cover by the champion.
17:15Whoa.
17:16Shoulder up for Cena at two.
17:19And Del Rio continues to keep up the pressure.
17:24The knee focused right into the kidney that he injured earlier of John Cena.
17:29And?
17:29Look at that knee in the back of John Cena.
17:32I tell you, this is just smart anywhere you look at it, trying to wear John Cena down with that
17:36knee right in the base of the back right there.
17:38They're choking him out at the same time.
17:41You gotta love it.
17:42Watch and make sure that grip is not across John's throat.
17:44Well, the referee's right in position to keep an eye on Del Rio, making sure the arm doesn't slip down.
17:54Good position right here by Cena to break a little bit of pressure off that.
17:57They had to get back to a vertical base, and Cena did.
18:01I don't think Alberta wants to try to match strength with Cena.
18:04No, no, no.
18:04This is an example of why.
18:05Nice belly to belly by Cena.
18:08Creates some separation for the time being.
18:11One, two, three.
18:16One, two, four.
18:20Could be a turning point here in this matchup, Jerry.
18:22First man to his feet.
18:24You're right.
18:24Referee to a six count now.
18:26Both these men having trouble getting up.
18:30Eight.
18:31Now Cena back to his feet, as is now for it.
18:34And down again in the center of the ring.
18:38Wow.
18:39Down with authority.
18:41Both guys thinking the same thing.
18:42Round up with a double clothesline.
18:44And what would happen if we had a double count out here at ten?
18:48To imagine Del Rio, the champion, would retain the title.
18:53I don't know.
18:55Charles Robinson, count of seven.
18:57The referee.
18:59This is a fight right here.
19:00Whoa.
19:01Whoa.
19:01And look at Del Rio.
19:02That's what I'm talking about.
19:03Del Rio is swift, man.
19:05I mean, the guy is cunning.
19:07Well, how dangerous is Del Rio with the kicks?
19:10Well, if John Cena had connected with that right hand,
19:12instead of Del Rio ducking it, this might be over right now.
19:15You can't back it up.
19:20Good right hand from Del Rio.
19:22After he had Monash seen him about that.
19:24Goes for another.
19:32And again, Cena trying to build momentum.
19:35Put Del Rio into the cover and a kick out.
19:37Del Rio is unbelievable.
19:39I mean, the guy seemed like he got eyes in the back of his head
19:42right there on that shot.
19:44I'm just trying to think,
19:45how many times has John Cena come close,
19:47or Del Rio covered John Cena for a mere three count?
19:50Yeah, but Cena keeps trying to rally in this matchup
19:52and hasn't been able to do it.
19:54He's got to keep trying to rally.
19:55What do you think?
19:56Give up?
20:00Oh, man.
20:01Man, Del Rio took a hard fall right there.
20:04And this could be the opening John Cena needs.
20:08Well, that shit tower announced, table.
20:10We're five feet away from that lady.
20:11Check this out right here.
20:12John Cena barely got out of the way of that right there.
20:17Perjo was going for that flying dropkick.
20:19Almost caught Cena.
20:21Three, two, four, five,
20:28Six.
20:29John Cena doesn't wanna win this thing by a count out, that's for sure.
20:31He won't win the championship, but that's the case.
20:33Cena realizing that.
20:34Here we go.
20:35Del Rio and off the suplex.
20:38Man, that one quick move.
20:44One.
20:44Well, that one quick move.
20:46Two.
20:46Made sure that Del Rio did not survive this matchup with a count out.
20:51Four.
20:51Where he would retain the title.
20:52I mean, that lets you know how much John Cena is feeling it right now.
20:55Now the guy's been broke down in this matchup.
20:58Oh, and this is what Del Rio had to avoid.
21:01Second win, John Cena.
21:03This is what you know and love about John Cena.
21:07Never count this young man out.
21:08Here we go.
21:13You can't see me, but you're gonna feel this five knuckle shuffle.
21:18Wow.
21:18Victor Cena.
21:21Come up to the A.A.
21:23Wait a minute.
21:23He's got him up.
21:24Del Rio.
21:25Oh, man.
21:26What a counter.
21:27That's it.
21:28Cena's done.
21:29Cena's done.
21:29And he takes that at two.
21:37Just like that, Del Rio back in control.
21:40Plain and simple, Del Rio is one of the best in the business.
21:43And I talk this guy up a whole lot, but I really believe in Alberto's talent.
21:47Well, he has weathered the storm, that's for sure.
21:50And as you said, Cole is back in command.
21:52Look at that.
21:52He went for the cross arm breaker.
21:54Cena countered.
21:59Wow.
22:00Cena, new champion.
22:02New champion.
22:03Yes.
22:04That was so close.
22:06A little bit late getting down there.
22:08All right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right.
22:09So close.
22:17John's, looks like John's hip's bothering him.
22:20There may have been the way he landed on that drop kick that he delivered.
22:25Whoa!
22:26Did you see that?
22:28Del Rio, hook on the leg.
22:30Man, I thought that was a freak out right there.
22:32Did you see the quickness from Alberto Del Rio?
22:35The guy is unbelievable.
22:36Look at the frustration, too, on the face of Del Rio.
22:40John Cena took a little too long getting to that top rope,
22:42and Del Rio was just waiting for getting place.
22:44Check this out right here.
22:45John Cena was going after something.
22:46The guy come in mid-place.
22:49Man, almost got him right there.
22:52That was a great move by Alberto Del Rio,
22:55but it didn't quite get the job done.
22:58Not yet.
23:04Went for the final kick.
23:06Cena!
23:07And Del Rio is going for the STF Submission Maneuver,
23:10and Del Rio countered it.
23:12There's a backbreaker.
23:13Tilt the world backbreaker.
23:14Right to the kidney right there, too.
23:16This could be it.
23:17And Cena powers out.
23:19And again, the focus on the kidney of John Cena.
23:22Del Rio is like a machine on John Cena right now,
23:25just working one body part.
23:26Yeah, the third time Del Rio went to the kidney,
23:29and it's gotta be taking its toll on Cena.
23:35Well, this is absolutely still anybody's matchup.
23:38Del Rio, for a second there,
23:39looked like he was looking around for his compadre.
23:42Yeah, but King Del Rio is now learning
23:44what it means to battle John Cena in a championship match.
23:49The never-say-die attitude of Cena.
23:52Let me tell you, I look at the guy, and I say,
23:54who's the fresher of the two?
23:55Right now, Alberto Del Rio
23:57looks like he's ready to go all night.
23:58Yeah, he does, but can he put Cena away?
24:03We're about to find out.
24:11Wait a minute, this is not good right here.
24:13John Cena's caught up.
24:14One, two, three.
24:17Come on, ref.
24:19Back it up.
24:23Did you hear that?
24:24Uh-oh, that man broken his shoulder.
24:26Did you hear the force Del Rio hit that post?
24:30It may have been a collarbone snapping.
24:33Del Rio's gonna have some trouble from that shot right there.
24:36Check this out.
24:37Watch this post shaking.
24:39Man.
24:40Whoa, man.
24:45Nasty sound.
24:47I don't know how Alberto Del Rio is doing it right now.
24:50How is he surviving this?
24:52He's just basically calling.
24:57Cena's in position.
25:00Back of that.
25:02Del Rio's done.
25:03That's gotta be it.
25:04John Cena hooks the leg and Del Rio powers out.
25:07Whoa.
25:08Del Rio showing why he is the WWE Champion.
25:13Check this out right here.
25:14Check the height on John Cena right there.
25:17What?
25:17And the impact.
25:22That drove Del Rio's head right straight into the mat, and I'll tell you what it did.
25:27It gave me newfound respect for Alberto Del Rio.
25:29Say what you wanna say about Del Rio, but kick it out of two.
25:32Whoa.
25:32Hey, hey, hey, hey.
25:32Whoa.
25:33What a suplex.
25:35Shoulders down and a kick out of two.
25:38What a match.
25:39What a match tonight.
25:43As compared to last night.
25:48Well, guys, you know what?
25:49This match is truly emblematic of Night of Champions.
25:53What we're witnessing here tonight is absolutely great.
25:56I mean, you look at Alberto, I mean, the guy, like I say, he seems fresh out of two right
26:01now.
26:01Seems like Alberto is looking to get this thing over with right now.
26:05Yeah, but Booker, again, what does Del Rio have to do to take out Cena?
26:09Well, vice versa.
26:11I thought Alberto Del Rio was done when he went shoulder first into that steel ring post.
26:15Now he looks like he's showing no ill effects at all.
26:18Like Booker says, he looks fresh as a daisy.
26:23Whoa.
26:24Whoa.
26:24Good night.
26:25Good night.
26:26Cena's done.
26:27Cena's done.
26:28Del Rio.
26:29Wow.
26:33Alberto Del Rio just jumped from the top, landed with all his weight right across the chest and sternum of
26:39Cena,
26:39and somehow Cena still kicks out.
26:41Alberto just needs to go back in his bag of tricks, figure something done out, get rid of John Cena,
26:46walk out of here with the championship.
26:48How many more tricks can he have up his sleeve, Booker?
26:50I think he's got the upper hand.
26:51Like I said, I mean, his cardio is looking real good right now, King.
26:55There it is.
26:56There it is.
26:57There it is.
26:57There it is.
26:58The cross-arm breaker.
26:59Cena's got a block on it, though.

27:01Now he's got it.
27:02Now he's got Cena.
27:04Cena's still got it.
27:04He's not fully locked yet.
27:07Del Rio cross-arm breakers in.
27:09Shoulders down for the champion.
27:13As long as Cena can keep his hands clasped like that.
27:16If Del Rio can stretch his legs out.
27:18Oh, my God.
27:20Oh, my God.
27:21You gotta be king.
