You know your partner’s favorite food. You probably know what makes them laugh, what annoys them, and even how they take their coffee. But here’s a more important question:
❤️ Do you know your partner’s love language?
The Five Love Languages are Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, and Physical Touch.
Sometimes the problem isn’t that love is missing. The problem is that we’re expressing love in the way we understand it instead of the way our partner receives it.
You may be saying, “I love you,” through acts of service while your partner is longing for quality time. You may be buying gifts while what they really need is to hear, “I appreciate you.”
Learning your partner’s love language doesn’t replace communication, commitment, patience, or understanding. Instead, it can give you another way to become more intentional about expressing your love.
📖 Biblical Reminder
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” — 1 John 3:18 KJV
❤️ Don’t just love your partner the way that’s easiest for you. Learn what makes them feel loved, and be intentional about showing it.
