00:00They have been for decades, having trounced Cesca-Sofia in the playoffs 5-0 on aggregate.
00:07They will think nothing of taking on Bundesliga opposition tonight.
00:12They've got two for OFI in their playoff tie with Cesca-Sofia.
00:17Dukat are in and the latter is making his first start.
00:27OFI creeps in black.
00:30Host TSK Hoffenheim on Europa League match day one.
00:34He won the Europa Conference League with the latter.
00:38He also got to the semi-finals of this competition for the London club.
00:51He can take a throw in from Hoffenheim.
00:56It had to be a save in the end by Mr Yorgos.
01:00He's in the transition where they can be so dangerous.
01:05OFI, Diepmann's early ball.
01:08And one-four for Cantilapiedra here.
01:12Completely sliced that.
01:14Turned out to be a decent pass for Bucilakis.
01:20Dukat.
01:22Dukat.
01:24Wimmer able to turn.
01:25Berger.
01:27Straight to the goalkeeper.
01:29No doubt about the curtain-raiser in Greece.
01:39Berger forward, but once again, it's just Yorgos there.
01:44They're in control of the situation.
01:47He releases it very quickly.
01:48Kenon Kodro could be in here.
01:51Big opportunity for OFI.
01:54And they take the lead through Itog Cantilapiedra.
02:03They always look to threat on the counter-attack.
02:09And it is the route one approach which gives OFI Crete their first ever goal in the Europa League proper.
02:22Itog Cantilapiedra with an explosive finish.
02:31And the Greek side lead here.
02:37It's been all Hoffenheim up to now.
02:41But the Bundesliga side were caught on the break.
02:44And that will take us to half-time here.
02:49One of ten debutants in the competition proper this season.
02:54What a start it's been for OFI Crete.
03:06Ophi get us underway at the start of this second half.
03:1145 minutes away.
03:16And this pass.
03:18Okay.
03:19Let it go.
03:21And Kloszek with the shot which is safely gathered by...
03:24Really been at full stretch to stop any of them.
03:30Kloszek didn't really get hold of it.
03:32Fads it into the turf.
03:34All the pace came off.
03:35Going into their low block once again.
03:44Fouls delivery went all the way through.
03:47Diekmann eventually got it away.
03:50As far as Machida.
03:53Now it's Kloszek.
03:54Right at the target.
03:59Good ball.
04:01I'm going to see you.
04:03And it should have been too.
04:06Taxiakis Funtas with his head in his hands.
04:14Afanasiou teeing him up perfectly.
04:16Taxiakis Funtas missing the target.
04:20Both sides will be feeling the pressure.
04:27And the comfortable one for Crystal Yorgos.
04:30Tim Lempler letting fly.
04:35Machida finding Rortz.
04:38Kloszek.
04:39Lempler.
04:40Back to other.
04:41Kloszek!
04:43That is perhaps...
04:46Hoffenheim's best chance of the night.
04:4860 minutes on the clock.
04:50Kloszek with a more or less clear side of goal.
04:54Had to get it out of his feet quickly.
04:58Just scooped it.
05:01High and wide.
05:05Herbert give it away badly.
05:07Goalkeeper Crystal Yorgos in big trouble.
05:11And eventually falling on the loose ball.
05:14Will it be a match winner?
05:17Had to be down to his team mates now.
05:22Andreas Puchelakis also off.
05:26Once again met with a towering defensive header.
05:32He's not clear.
05:34He's not clear.
05:36This is Yorgos.
05:37Once again able to hang on.
05:44Shot from range.
05:46By Conte.
05:51Burga.
05:52A little touch of Maslany.
05:54Lempler.
05:57A little touch of Maslany.
06:11Lempler.
06:12Which...
06:13You know he's got the quality.
06:15There's no space out there.
06:17Orbit chance!
06:20A huge opportunity.
06:22Don't necessarily think it impeded his ability to get the shot away.
06:27If the home side could do something from this corner.
06:30Their first of the night.
06:36The second comes in quick succession.
06:38My two.
06:47A huge opportunity to start.
06:54They did.
06:59That's a huge opportunity.
07:03and it's two
07:05Georgios Kanellopoulos
07:07surely seals victory
07:09for the Europa League debutants
07:13Hoffenheim cannot believe it
07:16once again
07:17they've been hit by the sucker punch
07:22the German side have dominated
07:24but it's Ophi that have been
07:27the more lethal
07:28in front of goal
07:33Georgios Kanellopoulos
07:35scores his first goal for the club
07:38and almost certainly
07:41confirms three points
07:45terrific header
07:47Oliver Bauman left standing
07:52and increasingly
07:53it is looking
07:55it has been the dream start
07:58to the Europa League
