00:16The game itself works similarly too, but different from, the NBA 9 category format.

00:46Here too, you do a snake draft in order, meaning if I pick second here in the draft, I pick
00:50next to last in the second round.
00:5115th overall, in an 8 player league, you draft 13 players and compete across 9 different game categories, just like
01:00the NBA game.
01:01The main difference isn't in the competition or the categories themselves, but in the way the rounds are scored.
01:06Similar to what we did with soccer, we are implementing the exact same thing in basketball.
01:10This means that because EuroLeague is usually played with either one game a week or a double game week for
01:15all teams,
01:15you set your lineup for that week, naturally taking into account team matchups and so on.
01:20Instead of the matchups lasting a full week, like in the NBA, they will span an entire round.
01:25What do I mean by a round?
01:26If there's one game per team a week, meaning on Thursdays and Fridays, the way EuroLeague likes to split the
01:30games,
01:31that's your matchup, that's the round.
01:33Same goes if there's a double game week, the matchup starts on Tuesday and ends on Friday.
01:37That means we are uniting them into a full week of EuroLeague games,
01:40which are one head-to-head matchup each week across 9 game categories.
01:44So pay attention when you're drafting your team and picking players who are as balanced as possible
01:48to play with each other across 9 categories, because in the end, anyone who knows and has played 9 categories
01:53knows that you can't build a perfect team and you just have to have a team that is good in
01:56certain categories
01:57and you also have to punt 1 or 2 categories in order to win the matchup against your opponent.
02:02In addition to the fact that you also have to pick by position, which means you can't play with only
02:05guards or only centers,
02:06you have to find that balance, so if you're going with a roster that's heavier on guards,
02:10you're better off bringing in centers who have shooting ability, make their free throws and so on.

02:23The sweet spot for us in terms of the number of players in a EuroLeague league,
02:27based on our experience, is between 6 and 10 players.
02:30That means 10 players already feels maybe even a bit too much,
02:33and 8 players is really the sweet spot, just like 12 feels like the exact right number in the NBA,
02:38so here it's 8 players, and that's also why the public leagues we opened are leagues of 8 players.
02:43Just a reminder that you can join the public leagues, it's our matchmaking system,
02:47but pay attention to the draft time and especially turn on notifications to get relevant updates
02:51about the league, your players, what's going on, and of course, before the draft starts,
02:55when the window opens, and so forth.
02:57I will remind you that to join public leagues, you don't just need to register,
02:59you actually need to confirm your attendance for the draft 2 hours before the draft itself begins.

04:03That means everything you do in the system counts toward your score,

04:12we're allowed to give out prizes, since fantasy is a game of skill.
04:15So whoever truly is truly skilled at the game and takes it to the next level,
