Desperate Bear Roams Arcadia Neighborhood Searching for Food and Water After Bobcat Fire

On Wednesday, October 14, around 4 PM, a video captured by my husband shows a bear overturning a trash can just two houses away from ours. He was out for a walk when he spotted the animal further up the street. While we often encounter bears at night rummaging through our trash, a daytime sighting is rare. Following the recent devastation of the Bobcat Fire, much of the surrounding mountains are charred, likely increasing the bear's need for sustenance and hydration.
