00:00Sometimes you're jittery if you don't like the movie,
00:02because you think maybe other people will.
00:04Maybe I'm wrong, and you're hoping you're wrong,
00:06and so you're jittery about it.
00:08But I know I like this movie, so I'm not nervous.
00:11I get jitters before I shoot them.
00:13You know, is this gonna work?
00:14Is this the right set?
00:15Is this the right location?
00:16Did we make the right decisions?
00:18Is the script really done?
00:19Are we ready?
00:20Those kinds of things give me the jitters.
00:22That's my problem.
00:24Like an audience buying a ticket you're buying in,
00:26and when an actor gets invited to be a part of a thing,
00:29you buy in, and you kind of buy into this director's vision,
00:33and sometimes you're right and sometimes you're wrong.
00:35If you're gonna be in the public sphere,
00:37you have to have a backbone.
00:39You're not gonna please all the people all the time,
00:42and every movie isn't for everybody.
00:44I've done some movies that I'll meet somebody,
00:47and they'll tell me they've seen it six times,
00:49and they love it, and they show their friends.
00:51I see your point.
00:53And somebody else will say,
00:54why did you make that movie?
00:56It was awful, I turned it off.
00:58And it's like, neither one is right or wrong.
01:01It just wasn't for them, you know?
01:03And this one, Patrick really came through for us
01:05and made a really tough movie that I really care about.
01:10Somebody else is out here.
01:13I can help you.
01:15It's part of the reason to do it.
01:16It's kind of longing for adventure.
01:18You know, you don't sign up for a movie like this
01:20and go off for a couple months to the Bavarian forest
01:24and run through rivers and do all this stuff.
01:26You don't kind of want an adventure.
01:28But the adventure for me is one
01:31that has to do with filmmaking.
01:33Believing in a first-time director,
01:35believing in the story,
01:37that's the adventure that I'm really seeking.
01:39And I love being outside,
01:41and I love working with great actors like Russell.
01:44That's what I live for.
01:45So that's what I've done with my life.
